President Putin spoke to the participants of the Znanye educational marathon about Russia's relationship with Europe

▪️There have always been people [in Europe and in France] who shared and continue to share our principles and values — the people who stand with us. These days, some citizens of the French Republic are fighting shoulder to shoulder in the special military operation zone, and they have named their unit Normandie-Niemen like their ancestors.

▪️I have no doubt that our relations with Europe will be restored sooner or later. I am certain of that.

▪️ Today, when we see German-made tanks bearing crosses in Ukraine, it inevitably brings back certain associations. Unfortunately, there is no avoiding such parallels.
You are right, of course: defeated nations are indeed attempting to impose their distorted narratives. I am sure everyone understands why, but nevertheless, let me say this. Of course, we are a nation of the victors.

The unshaven green douchebag says he rejects Putin’s proposal of a 3-day ceasefire to commemorate May 9 and cannot guarantee the safety of the world leaders in Moscow.

Who was asking him for guarantees? This is nothing more than a verbal provocation.

The louse knows that, if there’s a real provocation on Victory Day, no one will be able to guarantee that Kiev will live to see May 10.

Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, on the erosion of democracy in Europe

Germany’s most popular political party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD), has been officially designated as extremist.

In France, Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally party, recently surpassed President Macron in popularity polls, only to be stripped of her voting rights for five years and charged with criminal offenses.

Last November, Romania annulled election results that declared opposition candidate Georgescu the winner—and barred him from running in the subsequent election.

In Moldova, Evgenia Guțul, the popular head of the Gagauzia region who opposed pro-European integration policies, was arrested just before parliament’s reelection.

Europe’s political system, once rooted in democratic principles—fair competition, the will of the people, and individual rights and freedoms—now seems a relic of the past.

Today, Europe’s most popular politicians in Germany, France, Romania, and Moldova face prosecution, while their parties are banned.

European nations are increasingly descending into totalitarian regimes, led by unpopular politicians and parties clinging to power.

👆Look who's talking! Rubio is upset about Germany’s tyranny and wants Berlin to reverse course. We agree, of course. Maybe Rubio should take it up with his boss and see if the boss is ready to go to war for democracy—against Germany. After all, the Orange Liar just boasted that the U.S. almost singlehandedly beat Germany in a war—World War II, that is. Why not do it again? Only this time, Russia will just sit back and enjoy the show.

Trump has said it many times about the war in Ukraine: “This is not my war.” But the New York Post clearly wants it to become his war. To push that agenda, they published an editorial titled “To force Putin to end his war on Ukraine, give Kyiv the weapons it needs.” It opens with this blunt prescription: “The next step to ending the war in Ukraine for good: Washington needs to arm Kyiv. To the teeth.”

The New York Post is one of the few mainstream outlets that openly champions the Republican Party—practically its mouthpiece. So what does this editorial mean? Two troubling possibilities: either Trump has lost control of his party and it’s minions (like The NY Post), or he's caving to the hawks and is ready to make Ukraine his war.

Both outcomes are dangerous. Trying to beat Russia into submission by force is a direct path to World War III. Either way, Trump looks weak—and weak leaders are always a threat to humanity.

He still has a chance to walk away from this disaster. But whether he has the strength, clarity, or courage to do so remains a very open—and very troubling—question.

On Money, Weapons, and a Squeezed Orange

In a stunning display of fiscal gymnastics, Trump has unveiled a record-breaking $1 trillion defense budget—proving once again that the military-industrial complex knows exactly which buttons to push (or rather, which private parts to squeeze).

After campaigning against endless wars and lambasting Pentagon brass, the orange-hued commander-in-chief has undergone a miraculous change of heart—one that happens to perfectly align with the interests of defense contractors.

While slashing education spending (because who needs educated voters anyway!), Trump had no trouble finding space in America's wallet for a 13% increase in defense funding.

This comes from the same man who not long ago accused military leaders of wanting “nothing but to fight wars so that all those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes stay happy.”

Meanwhile, as the Lockheed Martins of the world rake in historic profits, the average taxpayer is now contributing four times more to weapons manufacturers than to public education.

But fear not, Americans! Your sacrifice ensures the country remains “formidable in the face of numerous adverse forces”—chief among them, corporate lobbying, which has your president firmly in its grasp by his citrus -colored appendages.

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Sanctions have not hindered the growth of Russia's trade, and both external and internal debts have decreased, according to Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu in an interview with TASS.

"The results are quite noticeable. Over the past two years, the Russian economy grew by 4.1%," Shoigu noted. He added that foreign trade maintained positive dynamics, increasing by $3.8 billion over the year to exceed $716 billion. The surplus of the foreign trade balance grew by $7 billion, reaching approximately $146 billion. Additionally, Russia's external and internal debts have decreased, and the financial and banking systems have demonstrated resilience.

Shoigu also highlighted that industrial production increased by 4.6% in 2024, primarily due to an 8.5% rise in manufacturing output. Federal budget revenues, including non-oil and gas revenues, grew by approximately 26% in 2024, while the federal budget deficit decreased from 2.7% of GDP in 2023 to 1.7% in 2024. Investments in fixed assets rose by 8.6%.

We Chose the Motherland: Part 1

"We had five suitcases. Two schoolchildren, three babies, and two adults—my husband and me.”

Svetlana Pikta—a journalist, war correspondent, and mother of five—once called Kiev home. In 2017, her life took a drastic turn when she refused to contribute funds to what Ukrainian authorities termed an “anti-terrorist operation” at her children’s school. This act of defiance made her a target: Ukrainian nationalists attacked her in retaliation.

After years of turmoil and upheaval, Svetlana now resides in Russia, where she has rebuilt her life and continues her work.

As everyone knows by now, the so-called “minerals deal” between Ukraine and the United States has been signed. Predictably, it’s being promoted by Washington and Kiev as a major breakthrough, but in reality, its significance is largely symbolic. The agreement, which grants the U.S. preferential access to Ukrainian mineral projects, is far from implementation. It must first be ratified by Ukraine’s parliament, the Rada, and some lawmakers have already indicated the process could take weeks—if not longer.

Crucially, the actual presence and volume of extractable minerals in Ukraine remain unverified. No comprehensive surveys or independent confirmations have been released, raising legitimate questions about what, if anything, the U.S. is really gaining access to. Even Ukrainian officials have expressed uncertainty, with some parliamentarians openly admitting they don’t fully understand what has been agreed to.

We see this deal as mostly a spectacle aimed at the American public—many of whom, until recently, had no idea what a rare earth mineral was or why it matters. Ultimately, the deal is about optics: portraying Trump as extracting concessions from Ukraine in return for past U.S. aid. And that’s what counts.

In summary, the minerals deal is a forced, mostly symbolic gesture that still faces potential hurdles before becoming reality—and its true economic value remains highly questionable. In our view, the PR value may well exceed its actual worth. But at this moment, that PR matters for Trump’s 100-day scoreboard—even though the document was signed on the 101st day.

The Belgorod Brit is irritable. He's been listening to American military "experts" and "realists" who are living in Nazi fantasy worlds constructed by the German losers of WW2. When married with a dose of American exceptionalism, it leads to a wave of self-delusion and pseudo-intellectual claptrap.

In the podcast, BB explains the origin of the mythology that the German army of WW2 is the best army in history, even though it lost the war and destroyed half of Europe in the process. It's time to drop this racist nonsense.

May 3, 1314 is considered the birthday of Sergius of Radonezh.

Venerable Sergius of Radonezh is a fundamental figure in the Russian Orthodox Church, and one of the most revered saints worldwide. He revived the Russian monastic tradition and became the spiritual leader of Russia during the most challenging period of the Tatar-Mongol yoke.

Sergius of Radonezh established many traditions of the spiritual worship of Russian Motherland and became one of the most important symbols of the unity of all Russian lands.

Among Sergius of Radonezh's merits is his ability to influence the course of history through his deeds and teachings. It was he who blessed Prince Dmitry Donskoy for the Battle of Kulikovo.

In the 15th century, Sergius of Radonezh became a revered saint, venerable, that is, canonized thanks to his monastic feat.

Today, Sergius of Radonezh remains a major spiritual symbol of Russia. He is revered throughout Russian land and far beyond its borders.

The relics of the saint are located in the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. Pilgrims from all over the world come there daily to pay their respects and worship the great saint.

The article titled Europe fears Trump preparing to walk away from Ukraine talks was published in the Financial Times on April 28, 2025. Here is the gist:

European and Ukrainian officials are increasingly alarmed that U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing to walk away from Ukraine peace negotiations, potentially using minor progress as justification to disengage. Trump, who campaigned on ending the war quickly, has been frustrated by the lack of support for his proposal, which includes a 30-day ceasefire and recognition of Russia’s annexation of Crimea-terms strongly opposed by Kiev and European capitals. European leaders fear that Trump’s approach risks fracturing transatlantic unity, undermining the upcoming NATO summit, and forcing Europe to choose between supporting Ukraine or aligning with Washington.

The U.S. draft deal, viewed by scared Europeans as heavily favoring Moscow, would block Ukraine’s NATO aspirations and pressure Kiev to cede territory, a red line for both Ukraine and the EU. European officials warn that any U.S. move to legitimize Russia’s “land grab” could shatter EU unity and embolden further aggression. As a result, Kiev is quietly preparing to increase self-reliance, boosting domestic arms production and seeking stronger European support in anticipation of a possible U.S. pullout. The article highlights deepening divisions within the Western alliance and growing anxiety over the future of Ukraine and European security.

We don’t often agree with the Financial Times’ reporting, but this time they may be right. We also believe that the so-called “greatest negotiator of our time” is clearly out of his depth in these negotiations. We think he should walk. Whether he likes it or not, the conflict will probably continue until all objectives of the Special Military Operation have been achieved.

If you’ve been following all of Trump’s statements about the Ukraine conflict, you’re probably pretty confused by now. Just yesterday, after Witkoff’s meeting with President Putin, Trump said that Ukraine and Russia were “very close to a deal.” Today, after meeting with Zelensky for 15 minutes at Pope Francis’ funeral, he wrote: “There was no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities, and towns over the last few days,” and even hinted at new sanctions against Russia.

What’s going on?

Well, we believe that, as always, Trump cloaks himself in strategic ambiguity. His conflicting statements create the impression that he’s deeply involved in the process, but make it impossible to figure out which side he supports. Instead, they allow the media to pick and choose what they publish, adding even more layers of ambiguity.

The only other explanation for Trump’s contradictions is that he’s bipolar. But if that were the case, surely the White House doctor would have told us, wouldn’t he?
