Seven in 10 Australians want welcome to country ceremonies stopped completely, according to a News.com.au poll with 109,000 responses - the largest-ever on the subject.

But in tonight's leaders debate both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition leader Peter Dutton agreed they should continue at major events, although Mr Dutton said they were "overdone".
