The Great Toronto Fire of 1904
On the evening of April 19, 1904, 121 years ago, a fire broke out in the elevator shaft of the Currie Neckwear Building on Wellington Street, Toronto. This was in the main Wholesale and clothing manufacturing district of Toronto and the flames would spread quickly, being fanned by 48 km/h winds. Seventeen firehall companies took part in fighting the flames, including some firefighters from Buffalo, New York. The glow of the conflagration could be seen for miles around and it took the firefighters 9 hours to get it under control by 4:30 am on the 20th. By the morning there were only small areas of fire still going, although some buildings continued to smoulder up to two weeks later. In the aftermath around 114 buildings were destroyed, 5,000 people were put out of work, with $10 million dollars in damages. The burnt out shells of the buildings were demolished with the help of dynamite. Remarkably, no one died in the fire, with the only death of John Croft occurring in the demolition process the next morning. It was the largest fire in Toronto’s history, and was the subject of the first “motion picture” to be filmed in the city.

Immigration has repeatedly polled as being one of, if not the most, important issues to Canadians in this election.
3/4 of Canadians want immigration reduced.
1/2 of Canadians support mass deportations.
This is every party saying "fuck you, we hate you, die" in the most transparent way possible.
