The concept of their Australia day demonstration was perfect, even by Phillip's standards! It threaded the same kind of needle as a lot of what the other guys and I have done with Diagolon where nothing you're doing is actually illegal, but it is inflaming the emotions of your enemies who can't control themselves and react like insane people. In turn this will eventually generate public sympathy and color the authorities as the ones who are out of line - which they are.
In this case, all they had to do was show up carrying Australian flags and they were mass arrested and charged with nonsense like loitering which was of course eventually thrown out just days ago, I understand. So not only did they embarrass the Australian state and expose how severe their hypocrisy and derangement is, they skillfully capitalized on it's state's unhinged behaviour by documenting and producing a well constructed, paced and digestible piece of media work for a broader audience to get a clearer and more honest perception of the situation.
