Judaic economics make no sense. 7 trillion. EOY 24 the economy was valued at nearly 30 trillion. That's 1/3 of the value of the mystical being called "The Economy" gone in 2 days.
How do you have nearly 1/3 of the value of the system disappear and not have instant mass layoffs and blood on the streets?
It's simple, it just doesn't mean anything. For those of you in manufacturing, I really hope you have a sizeable savings and diverse skills to hop into a different role or job.
I think being able to fix machines, especially older and more reliable ones, are going to become a very valuable and high demand skill.

The issue with Free Market Capitalism is the same issue as Democracy.
It bases itself off the assumption of everyone involved being a rational actor who thinks about the decisions made before doing them.
Obviously in reality we know the average person isn't a rational actor. The entire fields of advertising and propaganda wouldn't exist if everyone was a rational actor.
Turns out you need heavy restrictions and regulations to prevent people gaming the systems at the expense of everyone else.
Free Market Capitalism's downfall is that it's easily abused in a way that harms everyone else and the nation-state in favor of a greedy few. Fascist economics, which could best be described as a sort of State Capitalism similar to some Asian countries today. You harm the people and the national interests. Your stuff gets seized and you die or are imprisoned. As it's seen as racial treason.
Some industrialist is trying to do offshoring his jobs to pay $1.50 an hour in Bangledesh? He has his factories seized and he gets hung for treason. Landlord acts like a slumlord? Same deal. Finance abuse? Same deal.
National interest above all else. Even maxing out profits. You can still own a business, still own property, still do many productive things. Except you play by the rules set, contribute to national interest. Or you face consequences.
No little slap on the wrist fines. None of that. You face charges of treason to the highest magnitude as a deterrent to the rest. In the Third Reich, the government routinely punished industrialists for not following strict labor laws with arrests and seizures. Italy as well.
National interest above all else. Above profit and personal gain.
