As I’ve been trying to tell people all the way from Moscow, both the US & Kremlin are very interested in ending this war. That is a simple fact, supported by previous from both ends, and it does not mean the intentions from the West are good nor permanent. It has nothing to do with what I or others want, but what is real.
It certainly doesn’t mean Russia should trust the US & if they do that is to their own detriment, & goes against everything they should be doing knowing who controls Washington. There’s no real difference between Biden and Trump other than what each is tasked to do.
Unfortunately many of the West’s “enemies” including those in West Asia and East still fail to grasp this reality or think they can just ignore it. The US foreign policy works as one of continuity because our government is captured. Presidents change in face but not in utility or they wouldn’t be there but six feet under. This concept must be understood for the survival of nations wishing to remain sovereign, as Rome falls and it takes its time to devour everything around it into oblivion.
Trump isn’t doing this because he’s much different than Biden but because he is tasked with ending this war and pivoting to Iran, China and Latin America. He’s also tasked with expanding Israel even further than the last administration. You’re watching this unfold right now. The perception will be that he is cleaning up the Biden mess because that’s what you need to believe, not the reality behind this. The reality the money flow began under democrats and continued into Trump’s last administration, past Biden and into the present.
The reality that the US & NATO lost and now see what Russia is capable of but must get out of this looking better than losers. And sure the EU has been the bait, left out at sea along with the carcass of Ukraine. Of course they’re angry but they can’t be angry at the hand that feeds so they will show disdain toward Russia. The reality is the US left them out to dry and long ago knew very well what would occur.
Now when this does “end” make no mistake that the US will shelve it until the next administration down the line. This is why they’ll continue work within the EU building up influence around the Balkan area to prep for when that time comes, especially via Poland, Germany, Moldova, etc.
The West, meaning the US and those with 0 desire to lose full control will not rest until the Russian territory is Balkanised. When they do rest it’s because they’ve captured Russia internally. This isn’t a war that can be avoided if China or Russia wish to remain sovereign. But it is simply being pushed to a later time. At least under the current government structure that is the uniparty in Washington. Only when that structure is gone and replaced by a cooperative, well-intentioned one, can we shift our view about its intentions.
Peace that is true isn’t contingent upon false hope. I believe will see a momentary end to this war but by all that’s good in the world, know that it is certainly not going to be over in the eyes of those looking 20 moves ahead. If we haven’t figured out yet how we’re continuously being manipulated then we will continue to have these patterns replay.

ISIS Attacks Oil Tankers and Escalates Operations in Northeast Syria
ISIS cells attacked three oil tankers with machine guns in Abu Khashab, western Deir Ezzor, causing damage before fleeing. Since early 2025, the group has carried out 67 operations in areas under the Autonomous Administration, killing 23 people, including 13 SDF fighters, 5 ISIS members, and 5 civilians. Trump wants Jolani to be "a partner" against ISIS but is not lifting the Caesar sanctions or providing weapons LOL. Instead, US is clearly pushing Jolani to align with Turkey and Russia for weapons supply and support. Qatar is not helping Jolani economically because they don't want to get stung by the Trump-created Caesar Sanctions that will punish any country coming to the aid of Syria. There are 10,000 ISIS prisoners still in the north-east with 40,000 family members (in holding camps funded in part by the UK). The US media rhetoric that it would be a major PR gain for ISIS should these prisoners be released and rejoin the ISIS forces suggests that this is probably going to happen, by design. As I said before, Trump never looks for a win-win solution, only win-lose. If Russia is to be allowed to maintain a military presence in Syria, on the coast, there will be a cost. The cost will be managing a situation in which, Russia is supplying Jolani with weapons and assistance to fight the US-controlled ISIS and former Free Syrian Army factions in Syria while also being confronted with turmoil within the. ranks of HTS itself. Jolani has, in the opinion of many of the Takfiri mercenaries under HTS umbrella, betrayed the principles of Takfiri ideology and is heading into alignment with Western liberalism. The US is also pushing for the exodus of "foreign terrorists" - up to 50% of Jolani's fighting forces who have been given positions in the Junta and the military complex. Jolani has promised foreign Takfiris citizenship as reward for their "loyalty". Should he now revoke these incentives and remove Takfiri fanatics from power to enable US to lift sanctions (which they show no sign of doing) he will face internal confrontation just as he did in Idlib - where the US helped by assassinating his detractors on a regular basis. At the same time, Jolani has handed Syrian territory on a plate to the Zionist movement and has made it very clear that he will 1. Destroy any Palestinian Resistance capability inside Syria 2. Eventually normalise with Israel under Abraham Accords - for many Syrians, even those who have lived in isolated fear since the fall of Damascus December 2024, this will be a step too far. The Resistance is already growing fast both inside and outside Syria. So, Jolani faces multiple challenges, far greater than those he dealt with in Idlib where he also benefitted from direct Turkish alliance and weapons - now, Israel has made it clear, this situation will not be repeated in central Syria. Kissinger once said, it is much more dangerous to be a tool/friend of the US - Jolani is rapidly finding out the truth of that statement. Long may it last.

• On April 14, 2005, he was arrested in Mosul under Article 4 of Iraq’s Anti-Terrorism Law, based on a warrant issued by Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council. He spent several years in al-Taji Prison, Baghdad.
• After his release, he returned to Syria and resumed terrorist operations using the false identity of Abu Mohammad al-Julani—the same name under which he would later become the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra, al-Qaeda’s affiliate in Syria, and then HTS (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) after rebranding.
