"Karm Al-Zeitoun - Homs
🗓️ 4/15/2025

In what constitutes a serious violation of international law, 28-year-old Kazem Ali Baddour was fatally shot this evening in Karm Al-Zeitoun. Two bullets struck him—one pierced his chest and exited through his back, the other hit just above his shoulder—while he sat in front of his shop.

This killing is not an isolated incident. It fits into a pattern of sectarian-based targeting , amounting to crimes against humanity under Article 7 of the Rome Statute and grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions.'

"Wim Wahhab: Alawites have the right to seek international protection!

Former Lebanese minister Wiam Wahhab said Alawites in Syria are being killed and persecuted and have the right to seek international protection, stressing that the Assad regime is neither criminal nor treacherous.

In an interview with the Inside podcast aired on Al Jadeed TV, Wahab said there are between 4 and 5 million Alawites in Syria who are threatened with death and persecution by Sharia factions, prompting them to seek international protection.

He spoke about contacts between senior Alawite officials and foreign countries to provide international and regional protection after the Arabs failed to provide it. He explained that if they were provided with sea and air protection, as well as 200,000 Alawite fighters, they would have a protected area from Homs to the Turkish border.

The head of the Arab Unification Party, Sharaa, warned against the continuation of these massacres, calling on him to stop them and take control of the situation so that they do not escalate and affect the security and stability of Syria, especially considering that the major powers may decide to provide protection to the Alawites in Syria from Israel in order to achieve interests in several directions.

In response to host Ricardo Chidiac's question about the "criminal" accusation that Assad was a "criminal," Wahab Assad said he was not a criminal and had not betrayed the regime. He had paid a price for his choice to continue supporting the resistance and not abandon the Golan Heights. He explained that if he had given in to these desires, he would have remained in power.

Regarding Sednaya prison, he said that it was a “lie,” backing up his statement with interviews with people who had left the prison: prisoners (Samir al-Hassan and Shaker Barjawi) who confirmed that the existence of the so-called Red Prison was not true. What appeared in the media was what the new Syrian authorities wanted to publicize and present in order to condemn the regime.

He continued: "Sednaya prison housed criminals who had been transferred there by court order to serve their sentences, not university professors." He claimed that the current "militia" had prisons that were incomparable to Sednaya, but no journalist dared to investigate their activities.

Wahhab called for a careful reading of history, noting that both the father and son regimes, the Assad regime, have always provided nothing but support to Lebanon. Former President Hafez Assad united the Lebanese army, ended the civil war and rebuilt Lebanon, and any other claims are baseless."

Karm Al-Zeitoun, Homs | Armed Bedouin Attack on Alawite Homes Leads To Abduction, Looting & Vandalism

From the early hours of Monday, April 14, 2025, between 2:00 AM and 8:00 AM, armed groups, reportedly over 50 individuals, including women from Bedouin and Fawa’ara tribes launched a violent assault on the Karm Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, specifically around Al-Tawtur Street and nearby streets 37–40.

The attackers targeted Alawite families, setting fire to doors, breaking into homes, looting valuables, and kidnapping an entire family known locally as Beit Abu Ahed. They took the father, mother, and their two young sons. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

The group also assaulted Abu Al-Majd, the local gas salesmen, vandalized vehicles, including a Kia Rio belonging to Sheikh Abdul Hussein Habib. They looted and destroyed the mini-market of Sheikh Abdul Hassan Habib, smashing windows and removing locks. Tear gas was reportedly fired into the air and at those who tried to intervene.

Despite urgent calls for help, including by Sheikh Muhyiddin Abu Ahmed, head of the Alawite Islamic Council in Homs, security forces failed to respond, citing limited manpower.

Now, residents face renewed threats of further attacks, including killings and abuse, prompting many families to flee their homes in fear.

The silence and inaction from authorities have only deepened the community’s sense of abandonment.

"Ukrainian kamikaze drones that targeted Russian civilians in Kursk were loaded with ball bearings to maximize damage to human life, officials have said.

The strike on residential buildings early on Tuesday morning killed an elderly woman and injured nine people, six of whom had to be rushed to hospital, according to Kursk Region acting Governor Aleksandr Khinshtein. In a statement, he denounced the incident as “a cruel crime” exposing “the agony of the enemy.”

The Russian Investigative Committee, which described the “massive” attack as terrorism, said the Ukrainian one-way drones were designed “to cause maximum damage to civilians and infrastructure objects.”

Drone munitions were packed with ball bearings, which were found scattered at the impact locations, according to images released by the Kursk Region administration.

In addition to damaging multiple homes, the Ukrainian drones hit an ambulance station, causing damage to 11 parked vehicles, Khinshtein said.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of 115 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, including 109 over Kursk Region..."

How is it that Israel, a colonial entity actively committing genocide and war crimes, and which refuses to sign the NPT, possesses nuclear weapons without accountability, while Iran, a nation that hasn’t invaded another country in over two centuries, is vilified for pursuing nuclear energy?

Talking to #NBC news on Sunday, #US President #Trump made the most hostile threat against #Iran so far, unless the Islamic Republic accepts Washington’s conditioned dictated #nuclear deal.

"If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing — and it will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before,” he said as quoted by the #American news channel.

Someone from the #Hmeimim_Airbase sends the message below to Dr Zeid Moustapha. (Translated from Arabic):

"Peace be upon you brother.

I am AJ (name removed for safety) from the Russian base in Hmeimim. I am reaching out to you… Please, if possible, make our voices heard—we, who are inside the airbase—and spread this as widely as possible. They are saying that there’s no one inside the airbase and that our numbers are between 500 and 1,000, but this is completely false. Our actual number exceeds 11,000 people inside the Russian base at Hmeimim.

The criminal terrorist gangs are coming to the base every day, trying by any means and in various ways to force us out. The day before yesterday, the governor came here along with the district director and met with the general in charge of the airport at the Russian base. They had a discussion in which the governor said: ‘We want to negotiate with the people here at the base. These are our people, and everyone should return to their homes.’

The general asked, ‘What guarantees can you provide?’ The governor replied, ‘We will offer them security and safety, return them to their jobs, pay their salaries, and repair the homes that have been damaged.’ The general then asked, ‘And what about the armed groups that are killing outside?’ The governor responded, ‘We have nothing to do with them.’

At this point, the general told him, ‘Then leave. If you have no control over them or cannot restrain them, what are you doing here talking about security and safety?’

In any case, brother, I need you to spread this widely: Those criminals have killed Abu Bassam, an elderly man from Hmeimim, in cold blood, along with his son. May God curse their honor…

The day before yesterday, a family from the Shawa clan, who were living in the Rumailieh neighborhood, left the base due to an urgent personal matter. They were supposed to return, but they never did—those criminals murdered them on the Hmeimim bypass.

Anyone offering us so-called security and safety guarantees is a liar, a hypocrite, and a traitor. No one should believe them. Their tricks, schemes, and deceptions are exposed. Do not fall for the so-called national reconciliation—it’s a big trap."

While being bombed by the very warplanes ordered by Trump, #Yemen stands tall.
Today, a sea of humanity flooded Al-Sabeen Square in Sana’a, not to mourn, but to roar in solidarity with #Gaza.
A nation under siege, starved, and shelled, yet it refuses to stay silent in the face of injustice.
This is Yemen, bruised but unbroken, raising its voice louder than those who tried to silence it.

🚨 The world must hear this. 🚨
Today, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi delivered a powerful and urgent address to the people of the world. 🇾🇪🌎
His words echoed the cries of Gaza and called for global responsibility, a moral rising, and mobilization — a call no conscience can ignore.

Selected Messages from his speech on April 10, 2025:
⬇️

— In the face of the genocide and atrocities unfolding in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, it is a collective responsibility to act with seriousness and effectiveness.
🇵🇸⚠️

— We must constantly and intensively remind the world of its responsibility toward the oppression endured by the Palestinian people.
🇵🇸🕊️

— The demonstrations that have begun in some parts of the world must be intensified — along with media efforts and all other forms of activity.
🪧🗞️

— There must be significant activity, even amid the efforts by Western regimes to suppress popular and university-based initiatives in support of the Palestinian people.
✊🏽🎓

— We hope that Yemeni, Arab, and Islamic communities in the West will rise and mobilize — awakening the conscience of all who still possess a sense of humanity — in support of the Palestinian people.
🌍🕊️

— The global voice of humanity must rise — intensely and resolutely — in support of the Palestinian people, in a manner that reflects the magnitude of their tragedy and suffering.
🌐🕊️

— There must be continuous awakening and mobilization in response to the daily reality of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and the recurring tragedy they endure.
⚠️🇵🇸

— The Palestinian tragedy must never be approached with boredom, lethargy, or disregard. There must be a state of moral rising and mobilization at all levels.

— The economic boycott must be activated on a wide scale — especially by nations whose populations consume American and Israeli products.
💰📵

— Popular demonstrations must be launched in every country where conditions are conducive.

‏A member of what is called the “General Security” in the Al-Bab area, ⁦ #Aleppo⁩, handed a child a Kalashnikov rifle loaded with live ammunition and allowed him to fire in the street among passersby.

‏The issue is not just documenting the incident and describing it as an “isolated case.” The real problem is that those entrusted with maintaining public security are, in reality, unqualified individuals, most of whom are sectarian criminals. Since the fall of the Assad regime, the “General Security” has carried out field executions, beatings, humiliation, looting of shops, homes, and cars, as well as sectarian insults against young men and women. And to be clear, I am referring specifically to the “General Security,” separately from the brutality of the terrorist factions of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

‏Syria is heading toward more violence, and this is not pessimism, it is an inevitable consequence of power falling into the hands of criminals like these and sectarian figures such as Asaad Al-Shaibani, who just yesterday blamed all Alawites for Assad’s crimes.

Western politicians enable Israel’s genocide in Gaza not just by ideology—but because pro-Israel lobbies occupy their governments. From Labour Friends of Israel in the UK to AIPAC in the US, dissent means career death. Palestinian lives pay the price for this political occupation.
