In anticipation of 🇷🇺 Moscow’s Victory Day parade—this goes hard!

Has the ideological de-Ukrainianization (that is, support for the current regime) of Poland 🇵🇱 really begun?

Allegedly, the Polish presidential candidate Grzegorz Braun noticed that in addition to the Polish flag, a Ukrainian flag was displayed on the city hall in Biała Podlaska. As the crowd chanted with support, Braun used a ladder to tear down this flag.

Ukraine 🇺🇦: How it started vs how it’s going. The West’s “friendship” feels a tad different, huh?

The contrast between the female participants representing Ukraine and Russia in the parades in London and Moscow, respectively, is quite striking. What do you think?

The free markers are one of the basic tenets of Christian faith. 🤣

I often think about this post in which Ukraine is literally living out a modern version of the plot of Gogol’s Taras Bulba.

Yevgeny Khaldei is one of the most famous Soviet photographers with iconic, easily recognizable images. But I’ve never seen this powerful postwar triptych before.

Leader Robert Fico 🇸🇰 vs Clown Zelensky 🇺🇦

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico considers ridiculous Zelensky's alleged threats targeting foreign leaders who will travel to Moscow for Victory Day (80th anniversary of WWII’s end in Europe). The Slovak politician said the following at a press conference he just held, "This is unprecedented. I think it's ridiculous. I reject such threats.”

It’s doubtful that a man who survived an assassination attempt would cave to Zelensky’s infantile and brazen statements that some would consider threats of terrorism.

Zelensky making May 9th, Soviet Victory Day in WWII, a nebulous "Europe Day" instead, a couple of years ago was one of the most idiotic and self-defeating examples of "decommunization" in Ukraine's entire post-Soviet history.

Some analysts believe that Zelensky demanding direct talks with Putin is a good “PR move” or a “power move,” especially if Putin doesn’t show up in Turkey. But wars aren’t won on PR (alone), and, Ukraine doesn’t have an endless supply of motivated soldiers, as its multiple waves of forced mobilizations and close borders indicate.

They also say that Russia will be sanctioned for its potential unwillingness to negotiate with Zelensky, as several Western politicians indicated. But Russia is already under tens of thousands of sanctions, and it’s unlikely that a few more sanctions would play a pivotal role here.

From the Russian perspective, the 30-day ceasefire proposed by the Western officialdom is simply another chance to rearm and prepare Ukraine for more fighting, not unlike the way in which the Minsk agreements were used. This is obviously completely contrary to any lasting peace in the region, and the trustworthiness of any such proposal is nearly nonexistent.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry: “Putin said it very clearly: negotiations about the initial reasons [for the war] first, then a conversation about a ceasefire.”Indeed, Putin had been consistent in suggesting that the genesis of the war, such as NATO expansion, must be acknowledged by Ukraine’s backers, even before the 2022 escalation (which has been deliberately ignored).

Finally, Ukraine hasn’t been a sovereign decision-maker since 2014 in any shape or form. Pretending like Zelensky has any major say in these negotiations, or that he cares about the fate of Ukraine, per se, is akin to the Emperor’s new clothes. The second Ukraine’s—and Zelensky’s—backers pull their funding, the war stops, and Ukraine finally faces its status as a failed state. Thus, any real peace negotiations should, once again, involve the actual power players from the Western side, rather than Zelensky’s “PR moves.”

We know how much some Europeans love rebranding the murderous “moderate rebels” as real leaders. But Reuters actually calling al Jolani, or whatever name du jour he’s using, “Syrian President” on top of Macron legitimizing the whole charade truly takes the cake!
