Imam al-Ridha (AS): A Legacy of Strength in Silence, Clarity in Confusion

As we approach the Wiladat of Imam al-Ridha (AS), let us remember a guide who lived through pressure, isolation, and manipulation, yet never lost his identity. His life is deeply relevant for us today, in a world where holding onto faith, integrity, and clarity feels increasingly difficult.

Imam al-Ridha (AS) was surrounded by a regime that wanted to use him to legitimize its power, distort religion, and silence truth. He was watched, controlled, and forced into a political position he didn’t seek. Yet, he responded with calm strategy, not out of fear, but out of wisdom. He didn’t rebel with swords, but with intellect and patience. He used knowledge to expose falsehood, character to reflect the truth of Islam, and silence to speak louder than words when needed.

🇵🇰🤔In the memory of the Islamic nation, there shine eternal names whose sacrifices have shaped the features of awareness and dignity. Among these distinguished figures stands Sayyid Arif Hussain al-Husseini, a unique personality who combined knowledge with struggle, and spiritual leadership with political vision. He was a son of the school of Ahl al-Bayt, a follower of the path of Imam Khomeini, and a bearer of the Islamic awakening in Pakistan.

Sayyid al-Husseini was born in 1946 in the tribal region of Parachinar, which has a Shi’a majority, and he was raised in a religious environment. He journeyed to the holy city of Najaf, where he studied under prominent scholars, and later continued his academic and political path in Qom, where he absorbed the ideas of the Islamic Revolution—especially under the guidance of Imam Khomeini, who entrusted him with significant responsibilities and appointed him as his representative in the Indian subcontinent.

Al-Husseini was a remarkable leader of the Islamic awakening movement in Pakistan. He headed Tehrik-e-Jafaria (the major Shi’a political movement) and succeeded in uniting the voice of the Shi’a Muslims against oppression, sectarianism, and tyranny. What distinguished him was his intellectual moderation and courage to confront unjust regimes without losing balance or being tempted by power. He remained a staunch defender of the oppressed and a passionate supporter of the causes of the ummah, foremost among them the Palestinian issue.

His speeches were marked by wisdom and clarity of vision, as he worked towards genuine unity among Muslims of different sects, believing that the real enemy does not lie within the ummah, but outside it—in colonialism, Zionism, and their allies. He was also a strong advocate for social justice, warning against the exploitation of religion to fuel sectarian strife, and firmly rejecting the collusion of corrupt scholars with oppressive rulers.

Sayyid al-Husseini was assassinated on August 5, 1988, in Peshawar, at the height of his efforts and influence. He rose as a martyr, leaving behind a legacy of dignity and a mission that remains a beacon for all those who strive for freedom, sovereignty, and human dignity. In his martyrdom—as in his life—he became a symbol of steadfastness and sincerity, a landmark in the path of contemporary Islamic awareness.

May God have mercy on Sayyid Arif Hussain al-Husseini, reward him on behalf of Islam and its people, keep his memory alive in the hearts of the free, and preserve his flame as a guiding light on the path of resistance and freedom.

🇵🇰🇮🇳 | Why War Now?

🔸 India's strikes on 9 locations in Pakistan that killed 9 civilians and wounded 35 are in response to an alleged attack in Pehelgam, Indian-Occupied Kashmir, that killed tourists, many of whom were international.

🔸 Worse 'terrorist' attacks have taken place in India, with no apparent hostile action taken against Pakistan in the past. The Mumbai attacks of 26/11 killed a total of 175, with India alleging that it was also carried out by Pakistani-backed militants.

🔸 Ajmal Kasab, one of the attackers, was famously interviewed by an Indian police officer. During the interview, speaking Urdu in an accent obviously foreign to Pakistan, he misgenders simple terms such as baraf para instead of baraf pari, which is to say, "It was snowing" while referring to snow in the masculine form, whereas it is feminine in Urdu. He misgenders more than once during the interview.

🔹 Expressing remorse over his actions, he can also be heard saying "Bhagwan (the Hindu God) will never forgive me", which is an objectively unfathomable phrase for any Muslim to utter, whether Indian or Pakistani.

🔹 These statements cast serious doubt on the origin of the attackers in the Mumbai 26/11 incident. They also provide a strong reason to doubt the credibility of Indian claims of Pakistani involvement in subsequent 'terror' incidents in India, such as Pehelgam. Let's now turn back to the current situation.

🔸 A militant operation killing innocent tourists was carried out in Pehelgam, Indian-Occupied Kashmir, while JD Vance was visiting the country.

🔹 Some interesting facts to contemplate when analysing this inident:

🔸 Local Kashmiri militants (or those alleged to be backed by Pakistan) have never targeted tourists in the 77 years of conflict.

🔹 The deaths of international tourists in Pehelgam, a Muslim majority area of Kashmir, poses a problem for the local Kashmiris the most, as they rely on tourism as their primary source of income in the region. Why alleged Kashmiri locals would carry out an operation that hurts their own livelihoods is an interesting thought to ponder.

🔸 The Indus Water Treaty has never before been suspended, even during the 3 full-scale wars of 1948, 1961, and 1971.

🔹 The suspension of this treaty before a day passed since the Pehelgam incident and without an investigation having taken place, suggests Indian premeditation and intent to incite war.

🔹 India and Pakistan both are developing countries that cannot afford to go to war.

🔸 India has never initiated war with Pakistan in the past. All 3 previous wars were triggered by Pakistan.

🔹 Despite having existed for over 5000 years as one of the oldest civilizations in the world, India has historically never conquered any significant territory. It is not a warring nation. It is uncharacteristic of India to initiate war.

🔹 India's attacks on Pakistan today, the deepest since the War of 1971, are evidently an open call to war instead of a limited operation. There is no rationale for India to attempt to initiate a war as that in no way benefits India.

🔹 The incitement of this war only seems reasonable if an attack on Iran is confirmed. This would explain the premeditation and the uncharacteristically disproportionate reaction of India to the Pehelgam incident.

🔹 It would make sense if India was ushered behind closed doors, much like Ukraine, to carry out this attack against Pakistan to prepare the operation theatre for a later attack on Iran.

🔹 This would wound the only ally with a conventional military that could have offered meaningful support to Iran from the Eastern front whether militarily or non-militarily.

🔹 If this is plausible, it would follow that the attack on Iran will be fitting of a scale that would compel it to require aid from its neighbours, (likely non-military, as Pakistan is unlikely to assist Iran militarily). The Indo-Pakistani war may just be the preface to a full-scale Iran/Israel/US war.

Ego is the defining trait of the devil, it was his arrogance, his refusal to bow to Adam (AS), that marked the beginning of his rebellion against Allah. He saw himself as superior, and from that moment, that moment is when the war between truth and falsehood began

America being the great satan as what Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) have said, was not just a metaphor to describe the enmity, but it reflects the true essence of America and their ideology

Today, with no shame, they blatantly present themselves more and more as the superior ones, same exact arrogance the devil carries

America is the representative of the devil today, they are the proxy of the devil to wage his war against those who stand by Islam and its teachings, every tyrant throughout the history was a proxy of the devil, they all have been carrying the same exact policy and that is to fight the believers, oppress them and carry massacres against them.. That explains the "odd" pattern and enmity as how they were and still are to this day, always directed to be against Muslims, those who truly follow the path of the Prophet and his family (SAWA)

🏴‍☠️ | Out of fear of the Yemeni missiles, a wave of flight cancellations to Tel Aviv began taking place

🔸 Air Baltic has announced the suspension of its flights to Ben Gurion Airport and that these flights will not resume until at least May 18.

🔸 Greek Airlines has also canceled all its flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport until May 14.

🔸 In this regard, the Irish airline Ryanair also announced that it has canceled all of its flights to Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

🔹 The recent strike on Ben Gurion Airport was not aimless, but rather a strategic strike that shook the entity from within, causing a psychological effect for all settlers and making the occupation shaky and insecure with no escape from the Yemeni targeting. This is in addition to the economic strikes carried out by the Yemenis for over a year by now, crippling Eilat and the economy of israel, causing the entity to bleed little by little, economically and psychologically

🔹 If Ben Gurion airport continues being targeted by Yemen, it can open more doors for other airports to be targeted, it is expected for tourism to continue declining, more airline disruptions, investments can be affected as well and perhaps we may even witness emigration effect from settlers, like what we saw in the past from the north occupied Palestine due to the continuous targeting by Hezbollah, we all remember how they filled the airports to escape the occupation

But with the airports being targeted, perhaps it is wise to learn swimming

To all Muslims...

I am deeply saddened to see that we, as a voice that has been condemning genocide and the killing of the innocents for over a year and half, only to see something like this by some communities celebrating the killing of innocents because of their different faith and belief

Understand that dead civilians, Muslim or Hindu, Pakistani or Indian, is not something to celebrate, nor it is a valid retaliation and nothing justifies it

How can you expect the world to mourn the martyred innocents of your side and say that they were only civilians, when you yourself begin showing same level of inhumanity that you mock the other killed civilians just because they are in the opposing side?

Let us be wise with our words and reactions, remember that even with the reactions here, as small as you may see them, by putting icons on those posts, it is an indicator of the intentions, feelings toward the event and what the person supports. The person will be held accountable in day of judgement for celebrating the losses of human lives, whether if it is verbally or even by expressing their joy in different methods.

Allah Almighty said in Surat Fatir 38:
{Indeed, Allah is the Knower of the unseen of the heavens and the earth. He surely knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart.}

We as Muslims condemn and must condemn the killing of innocents no matter what their faith and belief are. We pray for the innocents of both sides with no exception, nowhere in Islam, no Prophet, no Imam taught us that mocking and celebrating the death of innocent people outside our faith is something acceptable.

Today, many of us feel similar pressures, whether it’s the pressure to conform to society’s values, to stay silent in the face of injustice, or to compromise our principles just to be accepted. We live in a time when religion is often misunderstood, when speaking truth can get you isolated, and when people are rewarded for choosing comfort over conviction.

Imam al-Ridha (AS) reminds us that resistance doesn’t always mean confrontation. Sometimes it means staying rooted in your beliefs, continuing to carry yourself with grace, and refusing to be reshaped by a system that doesn’t reflect your values. He reminds us that we don’t need to change who we are to survive, we just need to understand who we are more deeply.

He also showed us how to engage with others: not with arrogance or harshness, but with clarity and respect. In our online debates, in our classrooms, and in our workplaces, we can carry his legacy by being confident in our Islam while also being thoughtful, kind, and just. That balance is power.

📍 Wasn't it Imam Ali who did not give his brother an additional share when he asked for more from the treasury? Can we do the same?
🔸 We should be an adornment for our Imams, not a cause of trouble for them

📍 Why do we want verses just for reciting? Verses are for acting upon
🔸 Truth is independent of you and me, and we must align ourselves with it.

🔸 Imam Reza, even when he was the crown prince, debated atheists with logic and proved them wrong.

🔸 The purpose of truth is to be implemented in society. If I, as a government official, deviate from the truth, I must be held accountable.

📍 When Imam Ali (peace be upon him) gave instructions to Malik al-Ashtar, he told him to uphold justice between God, the people, yourself, your relatives, and those under your rule
🔸 If you fail to do this, you have committed injustice. And whoever oppresses the servants of God will not only make the people his enemies, but God will become his enemy as well.

🔸 If I, regardless of anyone’s religion or belief, skin color, appearance, or gender, want for the people what I want for myself, my relatives, my group, or my faction, then this government, this Islam, and this belief will certainly endure.

🇵🇰 Kashmir is our forgotten cause and Palestine of Asia❗️

The Kashmir issue is one of the oldest and most complex conflicts in modern history, with a prolonged dispute between India and Pakistan over the contested region of Kashmir. This region, suffering under Indian occupation, endures daily hardships for its defenseless people, who seek their right to self-determination and peaceful living. Despite international promises and agreements that were supposed to lead to a just resolution, the suffering of the people of Kashmir under Indian occupation continues.

Since 1947, when India gained independence from British colonial rule, the Kashmir issue has remained unresolved. With the onset of Indian occupation in the region, Kashmiris have endured an oppressive policy marked by violence, displacement, and restrictions on their basic rights.

One of the most prominent forms of oppression faced by the people of Kashmir is the systematic violence perpetrated by the Indian army against civilians. Kashmir suffers from severe human rights violations, with locals subjected to arbitrary arrests and torture, and being denied their fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression and assembly. Indian forces use excessive force to disperse peaceful protests, resulting in many martyrs and casualties. Additionally, strict security blockades prevent humanitarian aid and international relief from reaching the population.

What hurts the most in this conflict is the international community’s disregard for the tragedy of Kashmir. Despite numerous UN resolutions affirming the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, India continues to ignore these resolutions and persist in violating the rights of the indigenous population. In recent years, further repressive measures have been taken, such as the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution in 2019, which granted Kashmir autonomy, further increasing the suffering of the local population and escalating tensions.

This Indian policy has not only prolonged the suffering of the people of Kashmir but has also led to a deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the region. India has imposed restrictions on press freedom and attempted to curb coverage of the situation in Kashmir, making it difficult for the world to know the truth of what is happening there. Furthermore, the Indian government has continued efforts to alter the demographic makeup of Kashmir by encouraging Indian settlers to move to the region, which the people of Kashmir see as part of India’s attempts to forcibly change the identity of the region.

The suffering of the people of Kashmir is not limited to military occupation but also includes political and economic marginalization. The region has been deprived of social and economic progress due to Indian policies aimed at weakening its local population. At the same time, India’s exploitation of Kashmir’s natural resources has continued to benefit India, while the Kashmiris suffer from poverty and unemployment.

In conclusion, the suffering of the people of Kashmir under Indian occupation is not just a territorial dispute, but a humanitarian issue that requires urgent international intervention. The world’s silence on this tragedy reflects an unjust complicity in ignoring the Kashmiri people’s rights to self-determination and a free and dignified life. There must be effective global action to lift the injustice from Kashmir and its people, ensuring just and lasting solutions that respect their rights and lead to peace in the region.
