🤦‍♂️ FIFA President Supports Russia’s Return to International Football

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said during the UEFA Congress in Belgrade that he wants Russia to return to international football as soon as possible.

“As peace talks are underway in Ukraine, I hope that we can soon turn to the next page—to bring Russia back to football as well. That would mean that everything is resolved.

This is what we should be rooting for, this is what we should be praying for, because football is not about dividing, it is about uniting. Uniting girls, uniting boys, uniting people, wherever they are. And how good it would be to unite, to reunite through competition,” Infantino stated.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have mastered and continue to expand the repair of American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. This includes work on engines, components, assemblies, electrical equipment, and weapons. In the first two months of 2025, 20 Bradleys were restored, compared to 60 in all of 2024 and 12 in 2023.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico responded sharply to EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas’ warning that trips by European leaders to Russia on May 9 would have “consequences.”

“No one can tell me where I should or shouldn’t travel,” Fico stated. “I am the legitimate Prime Minister of Slovakia — a sovereign country. I will go to Moscow to honor the thousands of Red Army soldiers who died liberating Slovakia.”

He made the statement on his Facebook page.

Another 277 Ukrainian soldiers return home from Russian captivity — Zelenskyy

“Our homes are one of the best news that can be,” President Zelenskyy said, announcing the return of 277 defenders.

The released soldiers include members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Special Transport Service, and border guards. They had defended Mariupol and other areas in the Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions.

“We remember everyone who is in captivity. We are searching for all who may still be held. We must bring everyone home,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
If efforts to end the war in Ukraine fail within days, the U.S. will inform President Trump that negotiations are no longer a viable option, said Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“If both sides are serious about peace, we’re ready to help—otherwise, we will move on,” he stated.

Rubio added that while the U.S. has supported Ukraine for three years, it has now reached a point where it must turn its attention to other priorities.
Norway, together with the Baltic countries, will help prepare a brigade for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, allocating €830 million for the effort.

Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik announced the initiative during the Ramstein meeting.

He emphasized that strengthening Ukraine’s land forces is a priority. “We have already allocated 10 billion Norwegian kroner for this in 2025. Our support includes equipment from our own stockpiles, as well as purchases of ammunition and supplies from Ukrainian and international producers. And importantly, we will assist with training,” Sandvik said.

The brigade will be equipped with a range of weapons to form a fully functional combat unit. Typically, a brigade consists of 3,000 to 5,000 troops.
The United States believes that the prospect of an economic partnership with Washington could become an incentive for Moscow to end its war against Ukraine.

“There is an incentive for Russia to end this war, and perhaps that could be an economic partnership with the United States. But first we need to see a ceasefire, and the president and his envoy, Witkoff, have made that very clear to the Russians,” said White House spokeswoman Levitt.
Ukraine’s NATO membership not on the table — U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg

Speaking on Fox News, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and the Russian Federation Keith Kellogg stated that Ukraine will not become a NATO member and that the issue is not currently being discussed.

“This isn’t a new idea. We’ve been saying this since 2008, when the U.S. Ambassador to Russia—future CIA Director William Burns—told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that this goal was unattainable,” Kellogg said.

🤦‍♂️ Fox News airs Easter service with Putin and Kirill, calls Kyiv a Russian city

Fox News, a leading pro-Republican channel in the U.S., broadcast an Easter service featuring Vladimir Putin and Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev for over 30 minutes. During the broadcast, the channel referred to Kyiv as a Russian city.

The stream sparked outrage on social media in both Ukraine and the U.S. Critics accused the network of “legitimizing murderers” and attempting to portray Putin as a “good Christian” amid his unfulfilled promises of an Easter “truce.” Many noted the hypocrisy of broadcasting such imagery while Russia continues to carry out attacks across Ukraine.
