Thank you to everyone who contributed to our first election campaign.

It was a great effort.

For a party that was only registered 5 months ago, to get the votes we did was an exceptional result.

Everyone should be very proud of themselves. I am incredibly grateful for the commitment of our volunteers and candidates.
ㅤ
In regard to my own Senate race, after 28.4% of the votes being counted, I have received 5% of the votes counted.
ㅤ
This means I need to rely on preferences to overtake One Nation who have 7.2% of the vote.
ㅤ
While not impossible, it will be difficult to narrow the gap. The distribution of preferences won’t occur for a few more weeks while votes are being scrutinised and entered into the AEC computers for processing.

I have put up a post asking for volunteers who wish to scrutineer. Scrutineering will begin this Tuesday afternoon in Brisbane. Details to come.

Taxpayers should not be subsidising first generation immigrants to learn another language.
Don’t get me wrong - it’s great to be multilingual but the government's focus needs to be on speaking English and integrating into Australian society. Not the other way around.

Check out Sky News gaslighting People First by referring to us as Independents.
They could find the logo for the cannabis party but couldn’t find the logo for People First!
This is just further proof, not that it was needed, that the mainstream media see People First as a threat to the establishment parties including One Nation.
And so they should. Despite only having four months to prepare we had the best ground game of any minor party in Queensland with volunteers at more booths than even One Nation.
There is no doubt Australians are looking for a political party that isn’t controlled by the establishment.
People First is proud of the fact that we never sold out to the establishment. We know true democracy is built on individuals and grassroot organisations not top down unaccountable institutions.
Regardless of the Senate outcome, I intend to build the party until the next Federal election in 2028.

Over the next 12 months we intend to create State Divisions and Branches that will build a foundation to give people a genuine say in how their country is run.

I was shocked sitting in RRAT estimates one time when the head of the Infrastructure Department who earns circa $1 million a year started complaining about answering questions on notice from Senators, whose role of course is to ask questions about government operations.
He manages 2,000 staff yet complained about having to answer 400 questions with a four week turnaround.
It’s no wonder nothing gets done by Government with managers like this.
People First intends to streamline the bureaucracy so that taxpayers get better value for money.
There is too much inefficiency in government, especially in Infrastructure given the States are responsible for building most of it.

Time to tell the truth about the real science.
The science behind “climate change” is false.
As I point out in this speech the amount of energy absorbed by CO2 is incredibly small and is quickly lost via convection (the wind) through the force of gravity.
The idea that one CO2 molecule can heat up 10,000 N2 and O2 molecules by 1 degree and then maintain that increase in temperature is false.
Assuming equal molecule weights that would require that the CO2 molecule is 10,000 degrees in order to confirm with Newton’s third law of motion or the 1st law of thermodynamics.
This is clearly impossible. The temperature of the Sun is 5,700 degrees and the heat inside an internal combustion engine of a space ship is 3,000 degrees.
Furthermore gases are terrible conductors of heat so it’s very difficult for gas to transfer heat to other molecules.
This science of physics and in particular thermodynamics isn’t being taught in schools. It is allowing the climate alarmists to spread their false narrative about climate change which is being used to waste tens of billions of dollars on renewables which in itself is destroying our environment.
Only People First has the technical understanding of the true science of heat - thermodynamics- to destroy the climate debate once and for all.

Our four lead Senate candidates are myself in Queensland, Madison King in WA, Chris Neil in Victoria and Robert Lonie in SA. Tracy Sedman is representing People First in NSW alongside Craig Kelly.
