Over the last few sitting weeks in Parliament, the major parties have engaged in massive government overreach by trying to censor free speech through the:

1) Misinformation bill
2) Online safety bill and
3) Hate speech bill.

It is time to protect the most fundamental right of any democratic country and that is free speech.

The last decade has seen governments peddle all sorts of misinformation, create fear and hate and even commit acts of violence on people with no repercussions.

When patriots try to push back they are being silenced, censored or threatened.

It’s time we took a stand against this tyranny.

I am proposing that the right to free speech is enshrined in the Constitution.

If you support free speech then please Vote 1 to put the people first.

It’s three years since the Canberra rally against the Covid overreach by the Federal and State Governments.

I know estimates vary but I think we all agree that the crowd size was over 100,000 people.

For the Federal police to claim it was around 10,000 is just a straight out lie.

It’s another reason why I didn’t support the Hate Speech Bill as the response by Reece Kershaw, the AFP commissioner just proves our Intelligence and Enforcement agencies can’t be trusted.

Let’s not forget they let the story about the explosives in the caravan run for weeks before finally admitting they were decades old, had no detonators and were dumped. So much for a terrorist attack.

I will never give the Government any more powers. They have way too much now.

Of course we should never forget the victims of the Covid overreach - the vaccine injured, those that lost their jobs, those that were locked up and out and those that were killed.

People First will abolish the terms Climate Change, Multiculturalism, Acknowledgment & Welcome to Country in Government organisations. These terms are designed to waste taxpayers money and undermine national unity. The waste must end.

AHPRA are still sending letters to people who criticise the health system, particularly those who criticise government decisions.

In this particular instance they have sent a letter of complaint with no real explanation of what the complaint is.

How can someone defend themselves if they don’t know what the accusation is?

Furthermore by what authority does AHPRA have to shut down free speech?

Let’s not forget AHPRA has blood on its hands in silencing medical practitioners from highlighting the risks of the COVID vaccine. As a result thousands of Australians were needlessly killed or injured by a medical procedure that was neither safe nor effective.

The sooner AHPRA is abolished the better. It’s one of People Firsts health policies and it’s why I’m asking for your vote at the upcoming Federal Election.

This is why People First wants to abolish the National Curriculum and give responsibility for education standards back to schools.

While parents can’t identify the bureaucrats in Canberra who come up with this rubbish they do know who the school principal is.

As a result I doubt there would be too many principals willing to incur the ire of parents when they find out their children are being infected with the woke mind virus such as this.

It’s worth remembering it was John Howard who brought in the National Curriculum. I mean seriously, since when was it a good idea to let Canberra bureaucrats decide what to teach our children.

We need education, not indoctrination.

It’s always the Toadies that rise to the top.

“That’s the great thing about People First - we will hold both big government or big corporations to account - we don’t care if it’s public or private because we know you just can’t trust big organisations.

Because my time in these big organisations, I’ll tell you what, it’s always the yes men that climb to the top, it’s always the little toadies that climb to the top.”

Toadies indeed and there’s nowhere more infested with toadies than Parliament House.

This week was a train wreck in Parliament. Both major parties are fighting for themselves rather than the people. Sucking up to their mates in the establishment.

I spoke about this late Thursday afternoon.

It’s time to take out the trash and vote for People First to solve the problems in this country so Australians can get back on their feet.

A short speech I gave earlier this week discussing economic reform.

The motion (waste of time these things by the way) said that you can’t trust an Albanese-Bandt government to manage the economy.

While I agree with that, the Liberals can’t be trusted either as the nine years they were in government they did nothing either.

That’s why I ask for your support at the upcoming Federal Election as I will provide solutions to whichever major party forms government as they clearly lack the knowledge to fix the economy.

During the supermarket inquiry, I was shocked to discover that some farmers, particularly horticulturists, were not allowed to disclose the contacts or prices they had negotiated with Coles and Woolworths.

To operate fairly and efficiently, markets must be transparent so that buyers and sellers can be fully informed.

Other agricultural sectors including beef and wool have established pricing indexes so that farmers can see current market prices. This approach should be available to other primary producers.

People First will amend the Consumer and Competition Act 2010, so that the class exemption threshold for collective bargaining is lifted to $100 million turnover, up from $10 million, to allow small business especially farmers to engage in collective bargaining with large retailers, including Coles and Woolworths.

People First is committed to protecting vital Australian industries and advocating for policies that strengthen both the economy and the nation's food security.

“Big four bank Westpac has announced nearly 200 roles in the bank’s customer solutions department will be moved overseas, sparking warnings of dangerous implications for customers from the workers’ union.

Westpac said it will move 190 jobs from South Australia and NSW to the Philippines, three months after telling shareholders the business was in “very good shape”, and just days after announcing a $1.7bn quarterly profit, although the bank said earnings had fallen by 10 per cent.

The move comes less than a year after the major bank moved 130 roles to the Philippines and India, including 62 roles in the risk department.”

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Gotta love how the big end of town continually screws its own customers.

Whilst always getting bailed out when things get rough such as in the GFC or Covid, banks show their gratitude by closing down branches and sending jobs offshore.

Does it occur to the executives who run these banks that eventually they are going to destroy their own customer base by sending jobs offshore.

How can anyone ever take out a loan if there no jobs left in Australia!

Furthermore why does the government allow this to happen. If Australians have to bail out the banks in times of trouble why are they allowed to cut and run when it suits them. 😡

“Investor Sean McKay was infuriated when his insurer jacked up his annual landlord's insurance premium by nearly 20 per cent this year. He had not made a claim on his investment property, in the north Brisbane suburb of McDowall, nor was it in a flood zone. But still, his premium was increasing from $2,789 to $3,275.

"I just think it's a bit rich," Mr McKay said, noting his mates had also had copped premium increases - some as much as $900 - despite not being impacted by floods. If they didn't flood then why increase their premiums when it was shown that when the flood was on, they didn't flood.”

Mr McKay, 61, said councils should also take responsibility for approving properties in disaster prone areas or greenlighting developments that increased the risk of flooding in an area.

"It's happening everywhere, they're just building more houses without improving the infrastructure," he said. "And it gives insurance companies the opportunity to say, oh it's flooding now."

REA Group senior economist Paul Ryan said homeowners and buyers were increasingly concerned by rising insurance costs, which for some prevented them from breaking into the market.

"In some regions insurance costs have become unaffordable or homes uninsurable, which can limit the ability to obtain a mortgage," he said.”

And

“Major insurers are blaming climate change for hiking insurance premiums in the middle of a cost of living crisis despite posting hundreds of millions of dollars in profits.

The number of complaints about skyrocketing insurance premiums has doubled in the past year as families are pushed to the brink amid high inflation and interest rates.

Meanwhile, the bosses of the nation's three largest insurers have all banked paypackets worth millions of dollars including annual bonuses.

Suncorp Group recorded a profit of $582 million, an increase of 5.4 per cent, while IAG posted a profit of $898 million, an increase of 7.9 per cent, according to the companies' 2024 half year financial results.

Meanwhile global insurance company QBE posted a net profit of $1.3 billion.
The bumper profits paid millions in dividends to shareholders and, while there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing, boosted the pay packets of chief executives.

IAG chief executive officer Nick Hawkins took home $5.23m while Suncorp Group boss Steve Johnston banked $6.8 million including a one-off $2m bonus for Suncorp Bank's transition to ANZ.

QBE chief executive officer Andrew Horton's pay packet was $4.59m.”

For those of you not old enough to remember, State Governments sold off their Insurance Offices in 1990’s.
The first two decades saw the privatised companies run down the prudent reserves kept by the Government Insurance Offices.

Since then we have seen premiums explode with the companies blaming climate change when in fact it is poor financial management and a falling bond market due to reckless central bank policies. Rising premiums create a vicious cycle pushing people out of Insurance which decreases the size of the remaining pool which drives prices up even further.

The only solution to this is to bring back a Government Insurance Office which can reinsure itself. Approximately almost half of Insurance costs are reinsurance costs paid offshore. These costs will rise dramatically as the Australian dollar continues to fall.

People First is the only party that is addressing insurance costs. This issue is impacting homeowners, business and volunteer communities that need Insurance.

We can’t solve the cost of living crisis and housing crisis without solving the insurance crisis.
We will bring back a Government Insurance Office, that also includes Health insurance.

With cheaper insurance we aim to insurance all Australians so they are secure in knowing they are safe if something goes wrong.

This is why free speech matters.

Nothing symbolises Australian culture more than taking the piss.

There is nothing more Australian than laughing at ourselves amongst our mates.

Sticks and bones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.

We can’t allow the media and politicians to whip up an atmosphere of hate amongst Australians only to have them turn around and use that hate to justify bringing in laws to censor and control you.

It’s time free speech was enshrined in the constitution.

“The former chief executive of the ASX says new rules for listed companies to report on diversity should be thrown in the bin and the council which oversees them disbanded, as part of a battle to bring capital back to the public sharemarket.

Elmer Funke Kupper, a former chief executive of the ASX and Tabcorp and a current director of insurer Suncorp, was joined by the former Commonwealth Bank boss David Murray, a former chair of the Future Fund and AMP, to warn the current proposals go too far and should be scrapped.”

It’s about time corporate executives grew a pair and started to call this diversity rubbish out.

Bravo.

“Peter Dutton has shut down his Nationals counterpart's suggestion that Australia should "lean into" the gender debate, after Donald Trump's executive order rejecting recognition of transgender people in the United States.

On Thursday morning, David Littleproud, leader of the Coalition's junior party the Nationals, said Australia must also consider the issue of gender in light of Donald Trump's executive order declaring there were only two recognised genders under the "biological reality of sex".

"I think there's elements of this that come to the core principle of protecting women, particularly in things like sport, I think women should be competing against other women," Mr Littleproud told Sky News.

"You think about it, particularly when you get to the professional echelons, a young woman puts her heart and soul into it and is trying to get to the top, and then someone of transgender comes across and because is physically stronger, rips away that hard work and that opportunity that has been put in front of them.”

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Why can’t the Coalition protect women in sport and women in change rooms?

What are they afraid of. Pandering to the left on these woke issues shows why you can’t trust the Liberals if they win government.

People First will not allow biological males to use female toilets or play in woman’s sports.

It’s that simple.

Vote People First number one to ensure our woman are safe in the community.

Another crazy climate change scheme.

The carbon credit scheme is one of the dumbest climate change policies ever described.

Trees absorb CO2 naturally. It’s what they do.

Paying farmers for what already occurs naturally is absurd. It’s not going to make one iota of difference to the temperature of the planet.

It is however a waste of taxpayers money and its destructive as it will destroy the environment.

Especially in South West Queensland where the mulga is destroying the ground cover I.e. grass and locking up paddocks allow feral pests to breed.

This bureaucrat had nothing to say in response to my questions other than read notes about market signals.

This is just one of the many crazy schemes People First will abolish to stop wasting taxpayers money.
