Viacheslav spent 13 months in captivity and returned to Ukraine in January 2025. Then, he started to undergo rehabilitation in the Superhumans center.
Viacheslav shares he and Anna met online in 2022 and did not even plan a relationship at first. During rehabilitation sessions, he learned to get down on one knee to propose because he wanted to prepare for this important moment.

The GUR shot down two Su-30 Flanker fighters using AIM-9 Sidewinder infrared-guided air-to-air missiles launched from Magura-7 unmanned boats, according to Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The crew of the first aircraft survived and was picked up in the Black Sea by a civilian vessel. The crew of the second, according to preliminary data, did not survive, Budanov told The War Zone.
He noted that this is the first recorded instance of fighter jets being shot down by naval drones, and the first known use of AIM-9 missiles launched from an unmanned boat to destroy an enemy aircraft.
