🕯February 20 - this day has become a symbol of the Ukrainian people's struggle for freedom, dignity and a European future
It was on February 20, 2014, on Independence Square in Kyiv, that security forces shot protesters, participants in the Revolution of Dignity.
Among the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred were people of different ages and social status from different parts of the country, united by the desire for change and a better future for Ukraine.
Most of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred died from gunshot wounds during the violent dispersal of the protest on February 20, 2014, on Independence Square in Kyiv. However, there are also those who died from torture, kidnapping, and other circumstances related to the Revolution of Dignity.
This day is important for every Ukrainian, because it reminds us that freedom and dignity are the highest values worth fighting for.
