Nationalist activist Stephen Wells, 56, who has been in jail in Adelaide ever since being arrested during an Australia Day march, has had his charges dropped.
"It is our client’s position that since his arrest he was held in remand unlawfully and held as a political prisoner. He is considering his available remedies," his lawyer Matthew Hopkins said.

I’m often at odds with myself about Christianity.
On the one hand, my enemies seem to hate the churches and fundamental Christian dogma, which makes me want to appreciate it.
But whenever I’ve attended a church service in Australia, I go home disappointed and wondering what I just listened to.
While the community struggles with political betrayal and social decay of the worst kind, the local priest will avoid criticising the government and instead talk solemnly about the interpretation of two thousand year-old scripture.
In the other churches (which are just rented out factories) the ‘pastors’ as they call themselves host bizarre Sunday sing-a-long services, before asking for money so they can afford to do it again next week.
Half the churches around the city serve primarily as 5G towers while their leaders are often absent entirely, but when they do show themselves they lack the sprit of rebellion embodied by Christ.
They talk softly for fear of offending the powers that be and fail to identify the enemy of the people.
I feel that Christianity in Australia has an unrealised potential and is bogged down by fear, petty bureaucrats and weak leadership.
It’s a good time for a major reformation in my opinion.
