Former first son Hunter Biden is asking a judge to dismiss his lawsuit regarding the publication of private emails and images from his laptop, claiming he is too broke to continue the case.

"I am requesting to dismiss this action because I do not have the financial resources to continue litigating this case," Hunter Biden wrote in a declaration filed late Wednesday in a federal court in California.

Hunter Biden sued President Donald Trump's former aide Garrett Ziegler in California in 2023, over his alleged role in the publication of over 128,000 emails attributed to Biden. The former first son claimed he had broken state and federal laws in doing so, per NBC News. Ziegler has denied wrongdoing.

Biden's attorneys urged U.S. District Judge Hernan D. Vera to dismiss the lawsuit, observing that he "has suffered a significant downturn in his income and has significant debt in the millions of dollars range.”

The attorneys stated that the former first son has had to use finances to cover his cost of living after the Palisades fire in Los Angeles County earlier this year made his rental home "unlivable for an extended period of time."

They also claimed Biden was having a hard time finding work and a place to live recently.

The former first son said in a related court filing Wednesday that he did not get the paid speaking engagements and appearances that he expected from his artwork and memoir, and that he has not been able to sell his art or book as expected.

Biden said that he has only sold one piece of art for $36,000 after the lawsuit, compared to 27 pieces for an average of approximately $54,500 in the few years prior to the lawsuit. He also saw a drop in book sales, where he sold 3,100 copies of his book from April through September 2023, and just 1,100 in the six months after the lawsuit.

If there was ever a moment that exposed just how out of touch some of America’s biggest sanctuary city mayors are, it was yesterday’s House Oversight Committee hearing. Four mayors—representing Boston, Chicago, Denver, and New York City—were hauled in to defend their policies, and to no one’s surprise, it didn’t go well for them.

Republican lawmakers didn’t hold back, hammering these officials with hard numbers and real-world consequences of their so-called “sanctuary” policies.

These cities have turned into revolving doors for illegal immigrants, many with criminal records, thanks to local laws that block cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. The mayors, on the other hand, spent much of the hearing either dodging responsibility or insisting that their approach somehow improves public safety.

The Harsh Reality Behind the Spin
The arguments from these mayors weren’t just weak—they were detached from reality. Their main defense? That sanctuary policies help build trust between immigrant communities and law enforcement.

It’s a nice-sounding idea, but it crumbles under the weight of hard facts. When illegal immigrants who should have been deported are instead released onto the streets—only to commit more crimes—there’s no way to justify that as “safer.”

Several lawmakers pointed to high-profile cases where violent criminals benefited from sanctuary policies, walking free rather than being turned over to ICE.

These policies don’t just protect immigrants who are here illegally; they protect criminals at the direct expense of law-abiding citizens. That’s not trust-building. That’s reckless governance.

🚨BREAKING: Hunter Biden is claiming he is too broke to continue a legal battle he launched against ex Trump White House staffer Garrett Ziegler.

Ziegler is an independent journalist who published crimes and corruption he found on Hunter Biden’s Laptop From Hell.

Hunter’s lawyer Bryan Sullivan, in a letter to Ziegler’s attorney this week, stated that the former First Son is completely out of cash.

He can no longer rely on his Hollywood attorney, Kevin Morris, for funds, nor is he receiving support from Democrat donors.

Sullivan also added that Hunter “suffered a significant downturn in his income over the past 18 months with reduced book and art sales, which has been his main source of income over the prior years.”

This is what happens when your dad loses his influence, and you can no longer engage in criminal influence peddling using his name.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, which is set to be a key target of Trump's so-called Department of Government Efficiency, is facing a complaint for reportedly deleting a group chat on the taxpayers' dime.

The complaint, a copy of which was obtained by the Washington Examiner, was filed Tuesday by the Center to Advance Security in America.
