The more I dig into little season eschatology the more it makes sense.
I don’t wanna be a little seasonist!! 😢 😭
Does the cognitive dissonance sound familiar? Just like the globe deception, “don’t take away my outer space!” With futurism it’s “don’t take away my rein with Christ!”
The hard fact is, the little season is in the Bible whether we like it or not, and at some point we will experience it. Is that time now?
Let’s scratch some surface 👇
Historical record shows the dangers of Gnosticism was already prevalent during Paul’s time, and most certainly those same ideals had John exiled to the isle of Patmos where he wrote the book of Revelation.
Paul and John both despised Gnosticism, and as such they wrote in a purist fashion. When they said things like “the time is at hand” “must shortly come to pass” and “worry not about worldly affairs, not even love and marriage, for the time is now” THEY MENT IT. Time was running out, Christ was returning within the first century, and they knew it.
Not enough for you? Understandable. Let me share with you the straw that broke my camels back - Matt 17:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27, SHALL NOT TASTE DEATH
I thought, ok, maybe he means a spiritual death. So I looked at the Greek to English parallel, Mark 9:1 - Truly I say to you, that are some of those here standing who in no way shall taste death until they see the kingdom of God having come in power.
“IN NO WAY” shall taste death. That’s crystal clear. This is just one example, there is a multitude.

Does the cognitive dissonance sound familiar? Just like the globe deception, “don’t take away my outer space!” With futurism it’s “don’t take away my rein with Christ!”
The hard fact is, the little season is in the Bible whether we like it or not, and at some point we will experience it. Is that time now?
Let’s scratch some surface 👇
Historical record shows the dangers of Gnosticism was already prevalent during Paul’s time, and most certainly those same ideals had John exiled to the isle of Patmos where he wrote the book of Revelation.
Paul and John both despised Gnosticism, and as such they wrote in a purist fashion. When they said things like “the time is at hand” “must shortly come to pass” and “worry not about worldly affairs, not even love and marriage, for the time is now” THEY MENT IT. Time was running out, Christ was returning within the first century, and they knew it.
Not enough for you? Understandable. Let me share with you the straw that broke my camels back - Matt 17:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27, SHALL NOT TASTE DEATH
I thought, ok, maybe he means a spiritual death. So I looked at the Greek to English parallel, Mark 9:1 - Truly I say to you, that are some of those here standing who in no way shall taste death until they see the kingdom of God having come in power.
“IN NO WAY” shall taste death. That’s crystal clear. This is just one example, there is a multitude.

When Jesus said, this generation shall not pass, some of you will not see death, and those of you who flee won’t reach the ends of Israel before you see the Son of Man return with Gods kingdom… How do we take that?
Matthew 23:36 - Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Mark 9:1 - And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Matthew 10:23 - But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
