Exposing the Truth Behind the Port Talbot Chapel Fire in Wales

I usually don't interfere or investigate religious matters, but only when they get overhyped and filled with hatred. The news I am seeing spreading like wildfire is that two Pakistani teenagers (imigrants) set a fire and caused significant damage to a 150-year-old church in Wales.
After this, a lot of people — especially from Indian accounts and then some white users — started cursing and, without any proper investigation, kept shouting that the UK is losing its customs and traditions. So I decided to research what the actual matter is. Here’s an independent and fair summary of the incident:
1. The initial news highlighted three bold words: Pakistan, Muslim, and immigrant — exactly the points the far-right and neo-liberal Nazis are trying to provoke in the UK.
Similarly, using "Muslim" draws anger because Islam is growing fast in the UK, and "immigrant" triggers even more rage. All three words are deliberately played together to fuel hatred, and now white people are furious, cursing another community.
2. It’s against the law to reveal full details of minors, so it’s very hard to prove whether they are immigrants or not.
3. Locals from Port Talbot have confirmed that the boys were locals, white, and not immigrants.
They confessed to the incident on social media even before the police arrested them.
4. According to South Wales Police, two teenagers — a 14-year-old from Sandfields and a 15-year-old from Bryn — were arrested on suspicion of arson.
The fire caused significant damage to the Bethany English Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, a Grade II listed 1880 building. Six fire engines responded to the blaze.
5. The chapel was already derelict and unused for several years. The news articles spinning this into a religious hate crime are ignoring the full context.

But at the same time, I condemn the deliberate spreading of lies to create hate among people.

🔴Internal restrictions imposed by Egyptian authorities on refugee admissions have not fundamentally altered the country’s migration landscape. These measures have instead exacerbated security challenges at border crossings, overcrowded migrant detention centers, and increased the burden on oversight and law enforcement agencies. Organized crime linked to visa and legal document forgery is flourishing, posing additional risks as a potential channel for infiltrating instigators and militants of international terrorist organizations into Egypt.
🔴Most foreign refugees opt to remain within the ARE rather than attempt further transit to EU countries. Against the backdrop of rising regional tensions, an increase in refugee and displaced person flows is anticipated. The potential implementation of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to relocate Gaza Strip residents to the Middle East and East Africa could further destabilize the ARE’s migration situation.
🔴In response, Egyptian authorities have pursued measures to mitigate challenges in this sector and neutralize the fallout of future crises. Notably, EU efforts to establish a mechanism for controlling migration flows from Africa to Europe have provided Cairo with a strategic framework for action. The so-called “Khartoum Process” — a series of joint initiatives by the African Union and EU states to regulate migration routes in the Horn of Africa — has been leveraged as a key instrument, with the ARE holding its rotating presidency since April 2024.
🔴Cooperation with the EU under this framework has enabled Egypt to swiftly secure European backing for national programs aimed at curbing regional migration and partially alleviating strain on the ARE’s economy.

🔴Public confidence in the government of Argentine President Javier Milei is rapidly declining. The socio-political situation in the country is turbulent. On April 9 and 10, 2025, the third nationwide strike in 12 months took place. Anti-government protests are held weekly in Buenos Aires, their social base made up of workers, students, and pensioners. Citizen discontent is caused by market reforms that have led to mass impoverishment of the population.
🔴Official statistics on the level of poverty publish data that do not correspond to reality. At the end of March 2025, the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) reported that the poverty rate had fallen to 38.1% in the second half of 2024, after rising from 40% to 53% in the first half of the year when Milei took over the presidency.
🔴The method of calculation used by INDEC raises many questions among experts. The official data only takes into account the social status of those who live in cities with a population of at least 100,000 people. Although the statistics show a 64.5% increase in household income in the second half of last year, they ignore the fact that 79.2% of households have a monthly income of 700,000 Argentine pesos, which corresponds to the poor class. It also ignores the fact that utility tariffs have increased by 429% during the Milei presidency. At the same time, the purchasing power of citizens has decreased by 34% and the minimum wage by 33% (from 413 to 275 dollars).
🔴The Milei government defines the reduction of inflation as its main merit. However, this has been achieved at the cost of reducing the economic activity of the population. In 16 months, the cumulative inflation rate has already exceeded 189%. The real state of affairs reflects the cost of the consumer basket, which for 2024 has increased by 38.4%. Products are rapidly becoming more expensive, especially beef, which is the staple food of Argentines. In the last 22 years, there has never been such a significant reduction in its consumption.
🔴At the moment, there are no obvious positive trends in the national economy. In the future, this will only increase the population's dissatisfaction with the current government. According to the latest opinion polls, Milei's disapproval rating has reached 58%, and if the socio-economic situation worsens, the position of his party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), could be severely shaken in the run-up to the general elections on October 26, 2025.
🔴The October elections will be the first electoral challenge for Milei since his election in 2023. In turn, they will be an opportunity for the opposition to unite and lay the groundwork for the formation of a nationwide anti-Milei movement. Despite the remaining internal contradictions within the opposition, which is mainly represented by different factions of Peronism, there is a general conviction that Milei must be removed from power.
🔴The Peronist Kirchnerists, led by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (CFK), are trying to play a consolidating role. She has strong public support, but not enough to stand alone against the official government. In addition, provincial Peronism is extremely strong in the country, and its representatives are trying to pull the strings. CFK has the most strained relations with the Peronist governor of La Rioja province, Ricardo Quintela, and the governor of Buenos Aires province, Axel Kicillof.
