Zelenskyy: Russia Violates “Easter Silence” With Intensified Attacks
President Zelenskyy reported an increase in Russian attacks despite Ukraine’s commitment to a mirrored ceasefire starting from 10:00 on Easter Sunday.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Front, from 00:00 to 12:00, Russia carried out 26 assault operations. The heaviest activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Seversk directions, with continued use of heavy weapons and a sharp rise in kamikaze drone attacks, particularly FPV drones, which doubled in number compared to previous days.
“We are documenting every violation of their own declared ‘Easter silence’ and are ready to share this data with our partners,” Zelenskyy said. “Either Putin does not fully control his army, or Russia has no real intention of ending the war — only gaining favorable media coverage.”
He added that while no air raid sirens had been triggered so far, the situation proves the Kremlin’s insincerity.
Zelenskyy thanked media, podcasters, and bloggers for sharing the truth and urged them to focus not on Easter services in Moscow but on applying pressure for a real ceasefire — ideally for at least 30 days post-Easter — to give diplomacy a genuine chance.
