Add onion, green bell pepper, and tomato. Cook over medium heat until vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
Add cumin, oregano, and salt. Stir well.
Add chicken broth and cook over low heat until beef is tender and liquid has evaporated, about 30 minutes.
Serve Ropa Vieja over white rice.

Step-by-step preparation

Filling preparation: Place the guava candy bar in the microwave for 30 seconds, just to soften it a little and facilitate the filling process.
Cake decoration: With the other half of the dough, create a scary face to give the cake a special touch. Place this decoration on the base of the cake and fill it with the guava jam.
Finish: Brush the surface with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar to give it a golden and crunchy touch.
Baking: Preheat the oven to 176°C and bake the guava cake for 40 minutes or until it is golden and the base is cooked.
