Interim update on the practical implications of the Supreme Court judgment from the Equality and Human Rights Commission attached below
They will shortly undertake a public consultation and are seeking views from "affected stakeholders"
In the meantime the guidance states, amongst other things, that "in workplaces and services open to the public trans women (biological men) should not be permitted to use the women’s facilities and trans men (biological women) should not be permitted to use the men’s facilities", and "if somebody identifies as trans, they do not change sex for the purposes of the Act, even if they have a Gender Recognition Certificate. A trans woman is a biological man and a trans man is a biological woman"

Things are heating up a little over the Fraud Error and Recovery bill
I've covered this bill in legislation watch on substack here and here, highlighting its dangers
This Guardian article below suggests a mini revolt over the bill, but it's certainly not enough

I don't care if they have conducted a risk assessment. The point is they don't have the right or authority to dim the sun! Action should be taken about that. Not about a risk assessment that likely seeks to legitimise such experiments

I posted on X about the shameful treatment of people by Octopus - Octopus sometimes prevent people from changing their direct debit payment amount for no reason, and then seek to charge more when said people then choose to cancel their direct debit and pay as they go
They are all over me like a rash now on X wanting to "help"
I suggest people always post on social media if they have a genuine complaint that is not getting resolved
My aim is to stop Octopus charging people more for not paying by direct debit, if that choice is only made because of bad service at Octopus' end
I'm really pushing on this because why should anyone pay £90 quid a year more for not paying by direct debit because an energy company's wrongful throttling of someone's ability to change their own direct debit, which THEY themselves control
It ain't happening 😂 I'm intent on running this complaint long term. I have time Octopus.... there's no escape 😂

According to a 2024 report, 52 of 86 LGPS funds in England and Wales had £1.1 billion invested in arms companies supplying weapons or systems to Israel, including Lockheed Martin, RTX/Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and Elbit Systems. Total investments in companies deemed “complicit” in Israel’s actions reached £4.6 billion across 63 funds.
A 2019 Guardian investigation found 43 LGPS funds held £566 million in five major arms companies linked to Saudi Arabia’s Yemen campaign, earning £18.5 million in dividends in 2018
In July 2025 we will get the full text of the Pensions Scheme bill in the UK. Amongst other things the bill aims to allow surplus withdrawals from defined benefit pension schemes to "support economic growth in the UK" by freeing up these funds for reinvestment, potentially in UK markets, infrastructure or other.....
Withdrawing surplus funds will reduce schemes buffers against future deficits. If economic conditions worsen (e.g., a stock market crash or falling interest rates increase liabilities), a scheme that has lost its surplus may struggle to meet pension obligations, potentially requiring employer bailouts
Surplus funds could also end up in arms companies, similar to the LGPS investments, if employers reinvest in arms-related businesses, channel funds into diversified investment vehicles, or follow government prompts to support UK defence sectors.....

Its time we stop focusing on just the negative stuff and share some of the positive stuff going on. Its our job to do this if we want to move away from the rotten, dysfunctional system, and just small steps help

Sam Goody was so ill on Christmas day last year that she was googling how to kill herself and planning to take her own life. Suffering from stage 4 cancer and an awful fungated tumour, she was in incredible pain. In January 2025, she given months to live, was immobile, and couldn't work
Since then she has made a dramatic recovery with the help of integrative health protocols that she has been following, including supplements, ozone therapy, juicing, RIFE therapy, and RSO to name just a few
She has now decreased her tumour markers from 550 to 150
She has been so successful that she has created a document containing details about what she did to help herself, so that she can share with all going through something similar. She has already assisted several people to take their own journey

Sam fought hard during lockdown for freedom and is very aware of what is going on. She has financed her own integrative healing journey despite lockdown having financially ruined her

She feels like it's a perfect example of how much care there really is in the world and how lots of people really do want to work together
