Наше с Пепе Эскобаром возвращение из ДНР в Москву обещало быть интересным. Самолёты не летают, удобного поезда нет, автобус - ну не хочется с бразильским паспортом задерживать всех на границе, так что тоже вариант так себе, а машина - только перекладные варианты (такси до границы, пешком переход, такси от границы куда-то на М4, где нас бы подобрала моя прекрасная Фея Люба... Это, конечно, реально, но столько может пойти не так..)
И вот, 16 февраля, 6 утра, мы едем в Никольское под Угледаром, в святое место, в Никольскую обитель. Про неё я уже обещала вам рассказать, и обязательно в скорости это сделаю!
Мы приезжаем, и ребята из Подмосковья из группы ПересVет 9 приезжают. И просто берут нас собой!
Вот реально, в последний момент, чудо с нами случилось! Как говорится, Бог управил.
Ребята, вы супер!! Спасибо вам огромное!!!
Bringing Pepe Escobar from DPR back to Moscow promised to be interesting.
- Planes don't fly
- Convenient trains - don't exist
- Bus - with a Brazilian passport with potential delay of an hour+ at the border for the whole bus to have to wait for us - well, that is really not an option..
- Car - i did have a plan (taxi to the border, crossing on foot, taxi from the border to somewhere on M4, where we would be picked up by my friend Fairy Lyuba on her way to Moscow... A working option, but how many things could go wrong.. )
And here we are, 16th of feb, at 6 am we go Nikolskoe near Ugledar to visit the holy place, the Monastery Abode there. I promised to tell you about it, and i will very soon!
So, we arrived, and so do the guys from the group PeresVet 9. And they just take us back with them!
Seriously, a last moment miracle! As they say, God's helping hand was given to us!

Recently, I visited one of the main workshops of the group "Zhukovyaz", Russian volunteers who make and send humanitarian aid to Russian soldiers fighting in front line regions.
Elena, one of the volunteers, spoke with me to explain their project.
*Note: While showing me items they make, she noted that the volunteers made modifications on things based on feedback from the soldiers, to make them more comfortable, safer, warmer.
Commercially-manufactured balaclavas, for example, are difficult to breath through because the breath causes moisture which makes the balaclavas icy around the mouth. So, they made a small cut and added netting in the mouth area of the balaclava.
She also spoke of their surprise when it turned out that a man volunteering was also a soloist at the prestigious Bolshoi Theatre. He himself didn't announce this, but when he was recognized and was asked to give a concert for the volunteers, he did so in a local cultural centre, for free.
This sort of initiative by Russian civilians to support their army, and their country is because they understand they are defending their future, in this war conceived and initiated by the West (media won't tell you that, but this interview will).
In the centre, I was happy to see Ramzia again, the charming woman I'd met in Kursk some months ago, who volunteers baking savoury and sweet pies and bread for the soldiers. She was back home but still not resting.
