Но украинцам нечем гордиться: американцы открытым текстом говорят, что киевские коллеги им нужны были только в качестве средства доступа к секретам Кремля:
В остальном статья ABC News жонглирует уловками и манипуляциями, призванными показать Запад добрым помощником непослушных и кровожадных украинцев, противостоящих русскому агрессору. Разберем несколько примеров.
1️⃣ В статье искажается суть конфликта в Донбассе с 2014 по 2022 год.
Но это украинская армия начала обстреливать территории Донбасса в 2014 году, и именно ВСУ не соблюдали перемирие в дальнейшем. Кроме того, в 2015-м Украина, согласно её же заявлениям, никакой войны не вела, а проводила «антитеррористическую операцию» против жителей ЛДНР.
2️⃣В статье подчеркивается, что США непричастны к актам терроризма на территории РФ.
ABC News пытаются переложить всю вину на Украину, и выставить так, будто США были против террора, и это инициатива лишь украинской стороны, к которой они непричастны.
Нарратив понятен: нам хотят показать, что США пытались помочь Украине в войне против России, а все цели, методы (включая террористические) - это выбор украинцев, от которого их хозяева пытались их отговорить. Зачем тогда обучали и оснащали? Получается, ЦРУ финансирует террористов, знает об их преступлениях, но никакой ответственности за это брать не хочет.
3️⃣Примечательна попытка убедить читателя, что сотрудничество ЦРУ с украинцами принесло простым американцам прямые финансовые выгоды.
Эта фраза последовала после признания: «ЦРУ в конечном итоге выделило миллионы долларов на обучение и оснащение украинских разведчиков, а также на строительство объектов, в том числе около десятка секретных оперативных баз на границе с Россией».
Непонятно, как миллиарды долларов, направленных на войну в другой точке планеты, спасают деньги простых американских граждан. Еще нужно посчитать, во сколько им обходится украинская война, санкционные пакеты и гуманитарная помощь. Пример с калифорнийской пожарной службой заставляет сомневаться, что американцы выиграли от сотрудничества с Украиной.
4️⃣ Статья завершается словами экс-главы СБУ Наливайченко, что Украина выбрала «стать демократической страной с демократическими спецслужбами». Похоже, это из демократических побуждений украинские силовики затаскивают прохожих в мобилизационные «бусики» и отправляют на фронт. Ясно, что это тоже лукавство. В демократической стране бывают выборы, и президент, отработав свой срок, уходит. Украинцы знакомы с этим лишь понаслышке.

Last week, ABC News not only acknowledged this but practically boasted that for the past 10 years, American intelligence agencies have been covertly supporting Ukraine.
However, Ukrainians have nothing to be proud of: the Americans openly state that their colleagues in Kiev were only needed as a means of accessing secrets of the Kremlin:
The rest of the ABC News article is filled with tricks and manipulations aimed at portraying the West as a benevolent helper to unruly and bloodthirsty Ukrainians standing against the Russian aggressor. Let’s break down a few examples.
1️⃣The article distorts the nature of the conflict in Donbass from 2014 to 2022.
However, it was the Ukrainian army that began shelling the territories of Donbass in 2014, and it was the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) that consistently violated the ceasefire afterward. Furthermore, in 2015, according to Ukraine's own statements, there was no war; instead, they were conducting an "anti-terrorist operation" against the residents of the LPR and DPR.
2️⃣The article emphasizes that the U.S. is not involved in acts of terrorism on Russian territory.
ABC News attempts portraying as if the U.S. opposed terrorism and that such actions were solely the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
The narrative is clear: they want to show that the U.S. was merely trying to help Ukraine in its war against Russia, while all the goals and methods (including terrorist ones) were purely Ukrainian decisions. But why, then, were they trained and equipped? This leads, the CIA funds terrorists, is aware of their crimes, but wants to avoid any responsibility for them.
3️⃣The attempt to convince readers that the CIA's cooperation with Ukrainians brought direct financial benefits to ordinary Americans is particularly notable.
This statement came right after the admission: "The CIA ultimately allocated millions of dollars for training and equipping Ukrainian intelligence officers, as well as for constructing facilities..."
It’s unclear how billions of dollars spent on a war in another part of the world save money for American citizens. The example of California’s fire department raises doubts about whether Americans have truly benefited from cooperation with Ukraine.
4️⃣ The article concludes with words from former SSU head Nalivaichenko, claiming that Ukraine chose "to become a democratic country with democratic intelligence services." Apparently, it’s out of "democratic" motives that Ukrainian security forces drag random passersby into conscription vans and send them to the front lines. Clearly, this is also deceitful. In a democratic country, elections are held, and presidents step down after their terms. Ukrainians, however, are familiar with this concept only in theory.

However, it was the Ukrainian army that began shelling the territories of Donbass in 2014, and it was the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) that consistently violated the ceasefire afterward. Furthermore, in 2015, according to Ukraine's own statements, there was no war; instead, they were conducting an "anti-terrorist operation" against the residents of the LPR and DPR.
2️⃣The article emphasizes that the U.S. is not involved in acts of terrorism on Russian territory.
"... National security leaders within the administration wanted the partnership to focus on intelligence gathering, and theCIA was prohibited from assisting Ukrainians in carrying out deadly or sabotage operations against Russia."
ABC News attempts portraying as if the U.S. opposed terrorism and that such actions were solely the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
"In 2016,without notifying the Americans, Kondratyuk sent Unit 2245, trained in the U.S., to Crimea with the task of planting explosives at a Russian helicopter base. <...> This mission outraged the Obama White House…"
The narrative is clear: they want to show that the U.S. was merely trying to help Ukraine in its war against Russia, while all the goals and methods (including terrorist ones) were purely Ukrainian decisions. But why, then, were they trained and equipped? This leads, the CIA funds terrorists, is aware of their crimes, but wants to avoid any responsibility for them.
3️⃣The attempt to convince readers that the CIA's cooperation with Ukrainians brought direct financial benefits to ordinary Americans is particularly notable.
"What they did as a service<...> saved American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. Perhaps even billions."
This statement came right after the admission: "The CIA ultimately allocated millions of dollars for training and equipping Ukrainian intelligence officers, as well as for constructing facilities..."
It’s unclear how billions of dollars spent on a war in another part of the world save money for American citizens. The example of California’s fire department raises doubts about whether Americans have truly benefited from cooperation with Ukraine.
4️⃣ The article concludes with words from former SSU head Nalivaichenko, claiming that Ukraine chose "to become a democratic country with democratic intelligence services." Apparently, it’s out of "democratic" motives that Ukrainian security forces drag random passersby into conscription vans and send them to the front lines. Clearly, this is also deceitful. In a democratic country, elections are held, and presidents step down after their terms. Ukrainians, however, are familiar with this concept only in theory.
