Gustav Tridon was a French revolutionary socialist and participant in the Paris Commune who is viewed as a proto-fascist due to his nationalist and antisemitic views. He was mainly influenced by the ideas of Louis Auguste Blanqui, which was a minority view among the Communards as it favored a more dictatorial approach to revolution. His political career was highlighted during his participation in the Paris Commune of 1871, where he was elected to the Communal Council for the 5th arrondissement and served on several key commissions. It's interesting how the American regime during the Cold War was aware how Jewish elements of the Soviet hierarchy were and how, while the Soviets regularly cleaned up corrupt and abusive Jews, the United States thought (and they were right) they could make Soviet Jews be disloyal to their countrymen and cause.

Ironically, “Right-Wing” media outlets such as Chosun Ilbo and Dong-A Ilbo referred to Park’s military action of 5.16 as a "Coup," asserting how illegitimate the upcoming military junta will be. In contrast, the Left-Wing media outlet, Kyunghyang Shinmun, saw Park’s military action as a "revolution," implying a revolutionary change for the stagnant country.
This disparity in labeling really suggests a larger narrative struggle in South Korea. The South Korean “Right-Wing,” primarily older generations, admire Park for what they regard as South Korea's economic miracle along with his anti-communist policies and rhetoric. Meanwhile, the contemporary South Korean leftists critique Park’s authoritarianism, highlighting his strict repression of dissent and “human rights” violations.
