I'm preparing my first ever workshop on the topic "The impact of russian Narratives on European Politics and Society". I need articles or short podcasts/vlogs. If you come across some, please share in the comments or DM me.
Actually books and longer videos and podcasts are also fine as long as you point to a specific page/minute.
The language doesn't pretty much matter. But DE, PL, UA, EN are preferred

A person in another chat asked me in response to the previous post "Does that mean that all the russians are bad?"
My answer:
"No, not quite. You shouldn't measure people by such categories at all. The russian state system is bad, it has always been bad. And the citizens of the state are part of the system. Were all the Germans who participated in World War II and worked in concentration camps bad? No, at least they did not consider themselves so. The Navalny folks and others in the so-called russian opposition like to separate themselves from those “bad” russians, Putin and his elite are bad, and everyone else is victims. They thus shift the focus from Ukraine to themselves, making victims of themselves, and absolve themselves of responsibility for the crimes of the system of which they are a part. And also you know they're imperialists, they don't recognise indigenous people's rights to self-determination and self-governance, they don't recognize anyone's rights to self-determination and self-governance apart from russian-russians.
I and some other people like to see russians as being useful or not, more like allies. I know personally a few russians who have been extremely useful. One of them living in Germany has learned to speak Ukrainians, he proudly wears a T-shirt with a logo of a Ukrainian organisation in Hamburg, goes to conferences and asks uncomfortable questions to Germans. Together with other Ukrainians he makes drones and sends them to Ukraine. I respect him a lot."
If you still have questions or "buts", please don't hesitate to express them in the comments below

But let's not give in to despair! Ukraine is still standing, we're still fighting! 🇺🇦
And so does an activtist friend of mine. A young woman called Lisa in 2022 gave up her masters studies of Psychology and her climate- vegan- fem-activism and joined Armed Forces of Ukraine. Her military nickname is Mavka.
Mavka needs a pickup truck to do her job protecting Ukrainian children (and kitties!). In my city we've already managed to collect 1000 Euros but this is unfortunately not enough for the car she needs.
Please chip in however much!
Details about her and the campaign on her fb page
Paypal email elizabett0101b@gmail.com (in dollars)
"buy her a coffee" here
And here you can transfer to her Ukrainian bank accounts
monobank and privat
Remember, there are no small donations, every dollar/euro counts!
Please react to this post when you donate. So that I know it works. And share it with your speaking friends and family

🕊 “Stop all wars” — a slogan that should target the aggressor, but today often means something very different.
Easter marches no longer speak of global justice. Instead, they echo Kremlin narratives and demand disarmament — not of the aggressor, but of the attacked ones and their supporters.
🔗 In this post (click on the link), we take a closer look at what these peace slogans really imply — and what they mean for Ukraine and the future of Europe.

------
“One hand beats and the other gives”
Scholz also liked scholzing around that Germany provides the most support to Ukraine of all the EU countries. Yes, but there is a nuance - the largest quantitatively, but not as a percentage of GDP (or whatever, I forgot where I read it, correct me if I'm wrong)
It says here that in 1990/91 Germany was much more generous to Kuwait than it is to Ukraine now.
And yeah, the sanctions - while Europeans are scratching their heads, the ruscists are figuring out how to get around them.

Ukrainian social and decolonial feminism - an interview with NGO Bilkis for the American magazine "New Politics"
We have three main values: social equality, decolonialism, and horizontality. In terms of decolonialism, we oppose all imperial powers and support the liberation of colonized nations.
Once countries were conquered and occupied, but today we still have economic colonialism and there are still colonial ideas. All of that means we have to think in terms of decoloniality. Take Russia, for example. The Russians behave in a very colonial way toward us. Also, in in the cultural sphere, the Russians are very dominant. For example, actors until recently were expected to know Russian if they want to get good roles, even though you live in Ukraine. That has changed some since the full-scale invasion, but it was that way for a long time.
We still have this issue that Russian music is most popular, the idea that Russian culture is superior continues to exist in our country’s consciousness.

For those looking for #goodrussians
The author of this channel "That same Bashqort" sometimes publishes comments or anonymous messages. Here's one of them:

"I live in Almaty, myself a Kazakh from russia, I came here not to die for the shit state in Ukraine. I work here with Moscovites. It's fucked up. It's all about them. Young 20 year old IT guys spend all day saying what a "kolhoz"* Kazakhstan is and that Moscow is “the best city in Europe”, laughing at everything Kazakh. Moreover, they shit on Western Europe, love Trump and Musk. They don't forget to remind us how much they dislike migrants, forgetting that they are migrants themselves. One of them once said, “There's a lot more hassle with residence permits these days, it feels like they want to kick us out of here”. To which I replied, “Well, what did you want? Have you even tried to learn to understand Kazakh? Do you have Kazakh roots? You don't like Uzbeks in Moscow who don't assimilate there, it's logical that you are being treated the same way”, to which he replied, ”Are you comparing US with Uzbeks?”
These are not undereducated guys, these are Moscow IT specialists"
*a collective farm in Soviet Union, these days used as a derogatory adjective, to describe decay; a shithole

STOP LOOKING FOR THE OTHER RUSSIA!
This podcast episode will give you better understanding why
Kremlin File: Yuri Felshtinsky, KGB Nation
Olga and Mo are joined by one of Putin’s Most Wanted, Yuri Felshtinsky, who co-authored the book "Blowing Up Russia" with Alexander Litvinenko - the former Lieutenant Colonel in the FSB who was poisoned with radioactive polonium in London in 2006. Yuri peels back the layers of Putin and the Russian Secret Service, exposing the nature of the KGB and their campaign to defeat the democratic world.

"Matryoshka of Lies" - on russian imperialism

On cowardice of European pacifism
Beautifully said!
"... ideological pacifists in Europe. ... prefer to sit in the comfort of academic circles and discuss war, NATO, and imperialism. We have never yet seen any pacifists willing to go into Ukraine and stand between the tanks of Ukrainian and Russian troops or to agitate Russian troops to leave the occupied territories. We have not seen a single Western pacifist willing to risk his own freedom and safety by going to Russia to agitate soldiers to defect or resist mobilization.
International solidarity is a difficult job, requiring a considerable amount of not only organizational effort, but also political education, to understand what that solidarity means in an individual situation"
