Still thinking about seeing a group of 3 counter protesters a few weekends ago

Back in 2016-2018 i didn't instantly cut gay guys off who were transphobic. I'd often try to reason with them first. But often in these discussions or arguments what i often found was misogynistic views of women that were intertwined with their transphobia
This kind of thing happens more than you would initially think. But if you really think about it, it makes sense, lines of reasoning for one type of bigotry is often pretty similar to lines of reasoning for other types of bigotry too. Often even the same exact arguments rebranded for a different type of minority. So it makes sense overlapping bigotry is common.
It also makes sense that people will be loudest about the most socially acceptable group to hate. Like of course that's what they'd be loudest about, it has the least social consequences.
And this post isn't to pit gay men against trans women, just a personal example of meeting white cis gay men who were somewhere in the alt right pipeline nearly a decade ago now. I hope some or all of them are doing better and realized the alt right isn't ever going to benefit them, as the tokenism is fading, there's a reason that Milo guy is pretending to be straight now.
I've personally met 3 alt right trans people too. Anyone can align themselves with fascists, even if it's bad for them personally.
As usual, it's important to stand together for our rights etc etc
