Brink is preparing to step down from her post in the coming days, according to State Department, who confirmed her upcoming resignation in a statement, “Ambassador Brink is stepping down. She's been the ambassador there for three years – that's a long time in a war zone. And frankly, the war has gone on for far too long. The real issue is whether the Russians and Ukrainians are ready to do what's necessary to end this war.” Brink has been the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine throughout the Russian invasion, being appointed in 2022 by President Joe Biden; with her spending most of her time in Kyiv, away from her family, who is unable to accompany her due to Kyiv being labeled as a unaccompanied post by the State Department.

In Belarus, the illegal import from Poland of the largest batch of explosives in the history of Belarus, 580 kg of a particularly powerful explosive of foreign manufacture (presumably from the USA), was stopped.
It was planned to further transport it to Russia.

The scan showed uncharacteristic darkening in the area of the car floor, as well as in the wall separating the cargo and passenger compartments.
As a result of partial dismantling of the floor and walls of the car, it was possible to establish that these places were completely filled with a thick layer of a light gray and light yellow substance.
Presumably, they tried to hide the explosive substance by covering it with vibration- and noise-insulating sheets and chipboard sheets. In order to prevent the service dogs from reacting to it, the inner edges of the body were treated with technical grease.
An expert examination carried out promptly by the Customs Laboratory confirmed that the substance discovered was a powerful high explosive substance, pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN), in a total quantity of more than 580 kg.
It was planned to further transport it to Russia.
