One sure sign of a dumb person is their inability to see historical figures as human. They judge the past by modern morals, saying, "how could they enslave people? They were so disgusting and primitive." But there is no such thing as "primitive," only your failure to grasp their fears, desires, needs, and faith. If you claim, "I would never do that if I lived back then," you absolutely would. Blindly following today's norms proves you would have done the same in the past. You’ve never truly questioned why slavery is wrong—you just absorbed it, no different from those old figures who never questioned why it was right.

Why are people always so desperate to be loved for who they truly are? Have you ever considered that your true self might just be disgusting and annoying? Why should anyone love something like that? It’s selfish.
Everyone is capable of change. If you’re fat, you can just lose weight. If you’re negative, you can start seeing things in a more positive light. Everything is a choice. Being loved is also a choice—no one who doesn’t truly love themselves, who doesn’t take care of themselves or treat themselves well, will be loved by others.
Don’t be so selfish. Wanting to be loved exactly the way you are—when the way you are is awful—is pure selfishness. You’re not good enough. You’ll only make the person who loves you suffer, but you’ll be loved anyway, and that makes it okay, right? Even if it means hurting someone else with your current, miserable version. Change your ways!!!
