Vladimir Putin made a visit to a command point of the Kursk grouping of forces
The President thanked the General Staff leadership, as well as the units that distinguished themselves by meritorious achievement, for the missions completed in the Kursk Region.
Some of the key statements by the Head of State:
🔹Our immediate task is to inflict a complete defeat on the enemy that has dug in in the Kursk Region and still keeps fighting here as promptly as possible and to completely liberate the entire region.
🔹According to the laws of the Russian Federation, any people who are present in the Kursk Region and commit crimes against civilians or oppose our armed forces, law enforcement agencies, or security services are considered terrorists. This is how their actions are treated by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, and it is specifically a terrorism probe that has been started against those people by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
🔹I would also like to reiterate that foreign mercenaries are not protected by the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
🔹We need to think about the future, as well as about creating a security zone along the border.
🔹We treat everyone humanely, and we should keep treating everyone humanely in the future, including anyone who is taken into our custody.

🔹Our immediate task is to inflict a complete defeat on the enemy that has dug in in the Kursk Region and still keeps fighting here as promptly as possible and to completely liberate the entire region.
🔹According to the laws of the Russian Federation, any people who are present in the Kursk Region and commit crimes against civilians or oppose our armed forces, law enforcement agencies, or security services are considered terrorists. This is how their actions are treated by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, and it is specifically a terrorism probe that has been started against those people by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
🔹I would also like to reiterate that foreign mercenaries are not protected by the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
🔹We need to think about the future, as well as about creating a security zone along the border.
🔹We treat everyone humanely, and we should keep treating everyone humanely in the future, including anyone who is taken into our custody.
I very much hope that our forces will accomplish all combat missions given to them, and the entire Kursk Region will shortly be liberated from the enemy.

Vladimir Putin tasked the Prosecutor General's Office with providing a legal assessment of the crimes committed by the Kiev regime in the Kursk Region
Our troops have recently conducted several swift, audacious, and effective operations and are now completing the rout of the enemy force grouping in the Kursk Region. In this regard, I will reiterate: according to the laws of the Russian Federation, any Ukrainian servicemen — not to mention foreign mercenaries — who invaded our land and committed crimes against the civilian population must be and are regarded as terrorists from a legal standpoint. The heinous acts they committed must be identified, recorded, and thoroughly investigated. I ask the officials of the Prosecutor General's Office, and specifically military prosecutors, to undertake efforts in that respect on a full scale in the liberated territories, including both Sudzha and other communities. All criminals, those who took part in reprisals, issued illegal orders or abused civilians must be identified and subsequently receive the punishment they deserve.

💥 In Belgorod direction, units of the Sever Group of Forces inflicted damage on units of two mechanised brigades, one assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and one territorial defence brigade close to Miropolskoye, Prokhody, Veliky Prikol, and Osoyevka (Sumy region).
▪️ The enemy lost more than 85 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, and two motor vehicles.
🚩 As a result of the resolute actions the Zapad Group of Forces, Katerinovka (Donetsk People's Republic) has been liberated.
🔥 Russian troops hit manpower and military hardware of two mechanised brigades of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade near Kondrashovka, Kupyansk, Shiykovka (Kharkov region), Novoye, and Kirovsk (Donetsk People's Republic).
▪️The enemy lost up to 215 troops, three artillery guns, one electronic warfare station, and one ammunition depot.
📍 The Yug Group of Forces improved the tactical position. Seven mechanised brigades of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade were engaged near Seversk, Minkovka, Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Artem, Kalinovo, and Tarasovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

Opened in 1974 on the 30th anniversary of the defeat of German forces in the Arctic, the monument is located at an altitude of about 200 metres above the sea level. It is here that Soviet artillery crews stood their ground, repelling enemy attacks. Standing 42 metres tall, the monument is one of the tallest in Russia. Also on display at the site are anti-aircraft guns, neighboured by a sloped triangular pyramid symbolising a flag at half-mast in mourning.
