📣🇫🇷Western, and particularly French, propaganda activities today face not only widespread hostility from the inhabitants of many African countries but are also increasingly losing financial revenues, which often resemble outright extortion.
📌Difficult times are coming for Western propaganda in Africa, especially for the French. After all, it has been the most aggressive and active on the continent up to this point. It is worth noting that it still largely remains so, particularly in Francophone African states.
🔖And regardless of whether these media instruments are state-owned or “private,” they all follow the agenda of the French regime and, more broadly, Western interests. However, they are increasingly encountering difficulties, which will likely only escalate.

❌💥The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda have agreed on an immediate and unconditional ceasefire following a meeting between President Felix Tshisekedi and President Paul Kagame in Doha.
🔖The announcement in Doha, the capital of Qatar, of a ceasefire in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo solves neither the massive security problems in the conflict zone nor the problem itself in the eastern regions of the DRC, but it does confirm Qatar’s desire to be a mediator yet again, including in this part of the world.

🇨🇳🆚🇺🇸After initial hopes of reaching a good agreement with Donald Trump, China is demonstrating its readiness to stand to the end in the trade war with the United States, and in private conversations, according to Tokyo, Chinese diplomats express confidence that the pampered Americans will be the first to ask for mercy.
🔴The Chinese Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Commerce are said to have been put on martial law. The employees of these departments have apparently even had their vacations cancelled, they have been ordered to keep their phones on 24/7 and to wait for instructions in the event of new turns in the trade battles with the United States. All departments that may deal with relations with the States have been strengthened.
🔴And it all started almost auspiciously - Trump even invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to his inauguration at the White House. The Chinese leader politely declined the visit, but very respectfully sent his own deputy to the ceremony. Trump called Xi Jinping his "friend", said that he respected him, and assured that he would conclude an excellent economic deal with him.
🔴However, all attempts by Beijing to establish working contacts with new people in Washington have not yielded results. In particular, the hopes of using Elon Musk as an intermediary, who has huge economic interests in China, including the giant Tesla plant in Shanghai, have not been justified. Official figures in the Trump administration, such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, have also avoided contacts with Chinese representatives. The bilateral working groups on trade, finance, and military affairs created under President Joe Biden are inactive.
🔴Trump is waiting for the "client to mature." The monstrous 145 percent tariffs on Chinese goods, as well as the announcement of a 90-day pause on the introduction of increased individual tariffs on goods from other countries, should play a role. This concession does not apply to China, which, according to the American plan, will lead to the isolation of Beijing, since everyone else will try to use the three-month delay to compromise with the United States. Meanwhile, trade between China and the United States has already seemingly come to a virtual standstill.
🔴However, China has clearly been preparing for this development in advance – its response to Trump’s onslaught, for example, is strikingly different from Beijing’s chaotic and belated actions at the very beginning of the deadly coronavirus outbreak. And here, everything is clear: retaliatory tariffs on US goods were introduced quickly and in stages, taking into account the opening hours of the financial markets in the States, in order to cause maximum disruption there. In addition to the 125 percent customs tariffs, tough measures were taken against about 60 important US corporations, and imports of Hollywood products were restricted.
🔴It looks like China will continue to press on these sore spots. It is dealing powerful blows, for example, to US agricultural producers – and this is the most important group of Trump supporters. Further punitive measures against Hollywood films are also expected, designed to cut them off from the world’s largest Chinese film market. At the same time, as reported in Tokyo, Chinese diplomats have sharply intensified contacts with colleagues and political figures in the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and the countries of the "Global South." They are being convinced that in the current situation, everyone has one common enemy - American hegemonism and protectionism. Cautious talks are even being conducted about the possibility of developing some kind of joint declaration by a number of G20 members in defense of free trade and with an indirect condemnation of the United States.
