This article only confirms what I have felt since writing the Song of the Minne, a growing and intense hatred for Aragorn. Aragorn, unlike Siegfried who although did fail Brynhild, Siegfried was tricked. Aragorn instead abandoned his sacred duty to seize the fire, the power, of the ring. In this case, Aragorn failed to not only save the future of Middle Earth, he condemned his wife, his Valkyrie. Arwen is forced to die of sorrow because he failed, but it's worse than being tricked. Aragorn failed because he was weak. The true redeemer, as a Heroic Cathar, a Lucifer, is one who does not shrink back from the burden of destiny, such a man WILL descend into suffering, burn in totality if needed be. He will wrestle with the fallen world, and forges a new path through sheer will. He will do this for love, for his lover, that is the magical love of Amor. Aragorn was called to do exactly that, to seize the Ring not for his own personal gain, but to overcome fate, to uplift Arwen, and to redeem a world slipping into death and darkness. But no, instead Aragorn chose cowardice disguised as humility. He let the false hope of the world stand, allowed HIS sacred feminine, Arwen, to slowly wither under the weight of mortality, and refused the heroic act that true love demands. His refusal was not moral strength as the likes of Tolkien frames it. It was a failure to be a true sacred king, a true Kristos. Aragorn betrayed the true heroic ideal; to burn, to fight, to conquer death itself for the sake of eternal union with your valkyire. Such men are not heroes, they only perpetuate the darkness of the world through their refusal to act.

People who say "jews killed jesus" miss the point of the religion entirely. The entire point of Christianity is the "mystery" that is the life of Jesus. He is the "son of god" who has a divine mission to redeem the world through self sacrifice at the cross. He is tested, tempted, by Satan and passes the tests. After the last supper, Yahweh tells him directly that he has to do this. The "mystery" of Christianity is that God gave of himself fully to redeem everyone. Turning around and saying "jews killed Jesus" misses the point entirely. It wasn't the jews or the Romans, he chose the cross. The fact that this is completely missed by supposed "Christians" points not only to the religion being dead but that a hollowed out copy walking around in its place.
