The BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting will take place on April 28-29 in Rio de Janeiro, and Russia is actively preparing for the event, Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexey Labetsky said in an interview with TASS on Tuesday.
🔹"We are actively preparing for the Foreign Ministers' Council meeting, which will be held on April 28-29 in Rio de Janeiro," he said. "Preparations for the April 30 meeting in Brasilia of high-level representatives in charge of security issues are also in our focus. Therefore, we can state without any hesitation that the BRICS agenda under the Brazilian chairmanship is very busy."
🔹"At the same time, meetings on environmental protection and artificial intelligence are being held at the working level in the Brazilian capital. The Brazilian chairmanship opted to center most of the BRICS expert consultations in the country’s capital, which is convenient for diplomats’ work. Rio de Janeiro is set to host only the Council of Foreign Ministers' meetings and the summit itself," Labetsky continued.
💬The Ambassador also noted that the Brazilian side has actively taken up the work of the BRICS presidency.
🔹"We see that they want to carry on with the active course that was established during the presidency of Russia and reflected in the Kazan Declaration, as well as with all of the projects that we are promoting," the ambassador said.
🔹"Brazil’s priorities in the expanded organization are aligned with ours. They are about the health, artificial intelligence, climate, and financial issues," he stressed. "The issue of further institutional development of the BRICS format itself has become important from the point of view of the task of working out the interaction in the expanded format."
💬According to him, the work is progressing actively in all areas, and the Brazilians do not slow down the pace.
🔹"Since Indonesia was admitted as a full member of BRICS in January, several important events have taken place. On February 25-26, the first meeting of the sherpas and sous-sherpas of the organization was held in Brasilia," Labetsky said.
🔹"Then, in March, productive consultations were held involving the heads of foreign policy planning departments of the BRICS Foreign Ministries. In late March, traditional consultations of BRICS deputy foreign ministers on the Middle East and North Africa were held, with the participation of the Russian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov," he added.

🚀On April 12, on Cosmonautics Day, the international humanitarian action Zvezdny Diktant “Let's go!” will traditionally take place.
The Zvezdny Dictant is part of the program of the international film festival of films and programs about space “Tsiolkovsky”. The main venue is the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics in the city of Kaluga, the birthplace of cosmonautics.
The event is intened to remind people from different countries of the idea of the common feat of mankind - the great human space flight.
The author of this year's text is Alexander Baulin, a scientific journalist, editor-in-chief of the Roscosmos magazine “PRO Kosmos” and a lecturer of the Russian Society “Znanie”, with Anatoly Wasserman as a guest of honor.

⚡️The “Work in the EAEU” application allows labor migrants to complete the necessary documents and use the digital services of the destination country.
👩💻Applicants can receive a wide range of government and commercial supported feedback, both before entering the country of employment and after crossing the border: job application, verification of entry restrictions, verification and on-line submission of an application to obtain an taxpayer identification number (TIN), submission of documents to receive SNILS and a patent, and other services.

Given the disappointing experiences of our past agreements with Kiev, the guarantees can only exist in the form of a directive coming from Washington to Zelensky and his team to do so and so and not otherwise. I think our US partners are receptive of this signal.
▪️Europe, led by Germany - starting with Ursula von der Leyen and everyone else on that list - is beginning to seriously ponder remilitarisation that will set them back outlandish amounts running into hundreds of billions of euros in a situation where its economy and social sphere are circling the drain after the Biden administration let them off the leash and sent them to wage war against the Russian Federation.
▫️Europe is not only disregarding Donald Trump and his team’s assessment that territorial issues must be resolved outside NATO’s influence – it is actively encouraging Zelensky’s stance.
▫️Just between ourselves, even though I don’t think it’s a big secret, we sensed before the Riyadh meeting that the Americans wanted to place Russians and Ukrainians in adjacent rooms, engaging in shuttle diplomacy to ultimately produce a coordinated document. However, we have reiterated what our presidents discussed – our unequivocal stance, which has been agreed by our presidents, is that progress must be reliable and there must not be any unsubstantiated documents. Even if some documents are adopted under “guarantees,” our American colleagues are to ensure that the Kiev regime complies these guarantees.
▪️Zelensky knows that his days are numbered, and that his positive image he has been cultivating among the people has long since faded, with the exception of those (quite numerous) who hold radical, far-right and revenge-seeking Bandera views.
▫️The fact that we have resumed dialogue despite all our differences signals a return to normalcy. We need this kind of dialogue, especially since it is not limited to Ukraine.

🇷🇺🌍On April 10, 2025 H.E. Evgeny Terekhin, Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia and Plenipotentiary Representative to the African Union (AU), paid a visit to H.E. Steve P. Lalande, Director of the Department of Partnerships & Resource Mobilization of the AU Commission.
The Sides have agreed to strengthen dialogue partnership and cooperation on a wide range of areas, including economics, and humanitarian issues, in the interests of greater mutual benefit and prosperity.
The Parties also shared the view that it is important to maintain the central role of the AU in the regional architecture, which is crucial to fostering peace, stability and inclusive growth on the African continent.

The Organizing Committee of the 59th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad for school students has announced the location and dates for the 2025 competition. The largest tournament for young chemists will take place in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from May 5 to 13, 2025, hosted by the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
👨🔬The Olympiad is traditionally organized by the Faculty of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Melnichenko Foundation. This year’s partner organizer is the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
🏅Participants include graduating and pre-graduating students who are winners of national chemistry olympiads from around the world.
In addition to gold medals, the absolute winners are awarded the Valery Lunin Academician Prize, established by the Melnichenko Foundation.

During their conversation, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, the Ambassador congratulated the Ethiopian musician on becoming a Laureate of the BraVo Award, that will be presented to him on April 15, 2025, at the iconic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
