In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The abuse, physical and psychological torture, medical neglect, starvation, and thirst inflicted on our prisoners constitute a full-fledged war crime.
The harrowing testimonies of released prisoners, confirming their exposure to abuse and beatings just days before their scheduled release and even up to the final moments before their freedom, along with the physical and psychological torture, medical neglect, starvation, thirst, and deprivation of medication that our prisoners endure in the occupation’s prisons, constitute a full-fledged war crime and a brutal violation of international laws concerning prisoners—systematically committed by the occupation government.
Reports in the Hebrew media citing International Committee of the Red Cross officials confirming the inhumane treatment of released prisoners at the hands of occupation soldiers and the zionist prison authorities necessitate intensified efforts from the international organization to monitor the conditions of Palestinian prisoners, report their findings to the relevant international bodies, and work to ensure the respect of their rights in accordance with international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and their additional protocols.
These ongoing zionist crimes against our people and our prisoners in occupation prisons—reflecting the rogue nature of this occupation, which disregards international laws and human values—only strengthen our determination to continue the path of resistance until the occupation is removed from our land and holy sites, and until the establishment of the Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

On 29 October 2024, Samah Hijjawi, a Palestinian prisoner liberated by the resistance in the November 2023 exchanges, was again ordered to 6 months imprisonment without charge or trial under Zionist "administrative detention." Samah was re-arrested by occupation forces that invaded her home on 7 October 2024.
At the time of her liberation, Samah was also held under administrative detention without charge or trial. There are currently approximately 3,500 Palestinians jailed under administrative detention out of over 10,000 Palestinian political prisoners, not counting Palestinians kidnapped from Gaza. Administrative detention orders — first introduced to Palestine by the British colonial mandate and then adopted by the Zionist regime — are indefinitely renewable, and Palestinians spend years at a time jailed with no evidence, no charges and no trial.
Samah was previously arrested on 17 May 2023 after being summoned for an interrogation with the occupation intelligence and an administrative detention order was issued against her for a period of 4 months. Just days before, on 11 May 2023, she had been summoned by the Palestinian Authority intelligence, which engages in “security coordination” with the occupation, for an interrogation about her social media posts.
Multiple Palestinian women liberated in the exchange have been re-arrested, including Hanan Barghouthi, Walaa Tanja, Dania Hanatsheh, Haneen Masaed, Aseel Samih Khader, and Yasmeen Shaaban (who was released hours later), while Nofouth Hammad was summoned for interrogation, and in the most recent attack, Fadwa Hamadeh was ordered to 2 years in prison over an incident where she defended a fellow prisoner from a jailer in 2020. All of these re-arrests come in direct violation of the prisoner exchange agreement.

The freed prisoner Yasser Rabay’a, who spent 23 years in the occupation’s prisons, holds a picture of his grandson Muhammad, the son of his daughter. The picture in Media 2 shows him with his daughter as a child at the time of his arrest.
The beautiful irony in this story is that Yasser's grandson was born on the same day he was liberated by the resistance as part of the “Flood of the Free” prisoner exchange deal and was deported to Egypt.

🟢 Hamas leader Taher Al-Nono to Al-Mayadeen:
—
In any negotiations, we aim to stop the war, while the occupation only wants an exchange process. In any agreement, there must be a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal, reconstruction, an end to the siege, and an exchange.
Starting with the fourth demand, meaning the exchange, will not necessarily lead to a permanent ceasefire. What is being discussed is merely a waste of time, claiming there are negotiations in preparation for the American elections. Netanyahu’s attempts to pass time with these offers are part of an electoral campaign, whether local or within the American context.
There is no “veto” from us on listening to mediators if they have any offer. The idea of a temporary halt followed by a return to aggression has been addressed before, and our stance is clear—we support a permanent end to the war. Listening to offers is different from agreeing to them if they do not meet the four demands of the resistance. If we are invited to hear new offers, we will certainly respond to this invitation.
Even in the most challenging circumstances Hamas has faced, it has maintained a leadership structure it adheres to. The leadership handling negotiations remains the same. Hamas leadership is present both inside and outside and makes decisions, as well as the Al-Qassam leadership, which also makes its own decisions.
In the past, present, and future, Hamas will not submit to anyone who thinks to pressure it. After all the sacrifices we have made, Hamas reaffirms that it cannot be swayed by pressures.
The occupation has not left any form of crime uncommitted—from killing to siege and destruction. All “israeli” crimes are happening in full view of the world, yet no one moves a finger. The humanitarian catastrophe is not only what is happening on the ground but also in the world’s silence and its allowance of the occupation’s actions. The greater catastrophe is in supplying the occupation with weapons used to kill children and women in Gaza and Lebanon.

Statement from Stop Cop Nation coalition: SOLIDARITY KEEPS US SAFE
"The movement to Stop Cop Nation stands in solidarity with Samidoun.
On the week of the 29th National Day of Action Against Police Brutality, we declare that the struggle to Stop Cop Nation and the struggle to Free Palestine are one and the same.
The movement to Stop Cop Nation sees the recent sanctioning of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network as a "terrorist entity" by the U.S. and Canada as an attack on our entire movement. We express our unwavering solidarity with Samidoun in the face of this state repression.
The United States has historically used accusations of terrorism and conspiracy to repress movements, from the Red Scare to COINTELPRO to the persecution of the Panther 21 and the Black Liberation Army.
Over the decades, countless freedom fighters have been exiled, murdered, or made political prisoners by our government. We need not look further than Assata Shakur's presence on the FBI's most wanted list, the criminalization of the Holy Land Foundation, the RICO charges in Atlanta, and the conspiracy charges against the Uhuru 3 to see that this method of repression has been both continuous and escalating.
Just as Cop Cities are inspired by the "Little Gaza" training facility in Israel, so too is Cop Nation - the militarization and expansion of the Amerikkkan police state - being constructed from the blueprint of the zionist entity.
Just as Samidoun is being targeted for their unflinching support of the Palestinian resistance - the beating heart of the international anti-imperialist struggle - and their insistence that all Palestinian prisoners are political prisoners, Atlantans are being baselessly targeted because of the state's complete failure to break the resolve of the militant insurgency driving the anti-police movement in the imperial core.
It is specifically in these moments of harsh repression that silent abandonment and retreat weakens our movement and makes the terrain more dangerous for everyone. If we do not form a united front in the face of this repression, we will be defeated one by one.
The “terror” sanctions against Samidoun are absurd and we condemn them in the strongest terms. But they are also an opportunity for us; an opportunity for us to declare our unwavering support for our comrades, an opportunity for us to test the strength of our convictions, and an opportunity for us to prove again and again each time such repression occurs that the movements to Free Palestine and Stop Cop Nation are totally and absolutely inseparable.
We call on all organizations to publicly announce their solidarity with Samidoun and with all others currently facing the brunt of state repression."

"The Prisoners are not Numbers - Free Them All" published the story of Ahmed Nasr Jarrar's companion, the prisoner Ahmed Jamal Qanba'. RNN translates it below:
—
"I am going home, by force."
- The words of the prisoner Ahmed Jamal Qanba' during one his trials.
On January 9, 2018, at around 6:30 PM, two young men from the city of Jenin, bonded by friendship for the sake of God, set out armed with M-16 rifles and four magazines of ammunition. The prisoner Ahmed Jamal Qanba' drove the car, with the martyr Ahmed Nasr Jarrar beside him, searching for a settler to carry out an operation.
As they drove, Qanba' noticed "israeli" passenger buses transporting settlers and suggested to Jarrar that they open fire on the bus to kill as many passengers as possible. However, due to the presence of a military jeep in the area, they decided against it and continued driving.
While traveling along Route 60, Qanba' noticed a red Suzuki carrying a settler with distinct religious features (a rabbi) and determined he was their target.
Qanba' began pursuing the vehicle, weaving through traffic. When they were four meters away, Jarrar extended his weapon out of the window and fired at the rabbi's head through the rear windshield.
Qanba' then closed the distance to two meters, allowing Jarrar to fire another burst at the settler. Jarrar continued shooting while Qanba' attempted to escape, and they eventually managed to withdraw safely.
On January 17, 2018, the occupation army stormed the city of Jenin with military bulldozers and aerial surveillance, searching for the martyr Jarrar as the primary suspect in the operation. They arrested the prisoner Ahmed Qanba’ at the beginning of the raid, while Jarrar managed to evade capture, having left his home hours before the invasion. He remained in hiding for two weeks until, on February 6 of the same year, the occupation army surrounded him. He was martyred after engaging in a solo gunfight with occupation forces.
Qanba’s trial lasted five years until, in 2023, the occupation court sentenced him to life imprisonment plus 26 years and a fine of 1.5 million shekels.
A freed prisoner recounts Qanba’s reaction to the sentence:
“When he was sentenced to life, I was with him in the transport vehicle. In that moment of silence, I had no words to say. Without me even asking, he turned to me and said, ‘Murshid, listen, I’m going home by force.’ I told him, ‘May God strengthen you.’ He said, ‘I’m serious, I’m going home by force, and I’m sure of it.’ I asked him, ‘How do you know?’ He said, ‘My Lord is with me, and His soldiers.’”
The occupation authorities demolished his family’s home, which housed eight people, a few months after his arrest. With the help of neighbors and the local community, his family rebuilt the house on the same land. Once construction was completed, they received another demolition notice, and on February 6, 2020, the house was destroyed again.
The occupation failed to break Qanba’s spirit with this unjust sentence. Instead, he responded with his famous words in one of his trials:
“I am going home by force… by force, I will return.”
Now, only days separate Qanba’ from his freedom in an honorable prisoner exchange, fulfilling his words and shattering the occupier.

As we write, the Palestinians of northern Gaza are confronting continuous siege and extermination. Despite its persistence in horror and massacres for over a year, the Zionist-imperialist regime has not succeeded in eliminating the Palestinian resistance, nor in cutting it off from its popular cradle. In northern Gaza, the Zionist genocidal army has been launching a new phase in its genocidal offensive. Entire families are gathered together, surrounded by tanks and soldiers, forcing them to flee at gunpoint and through checkpoints where they separate men and teenage boys from women and younger children. In just one emblematic case, a Palestinian woman was forced by the occupation army to flee from northern Gaza to the southern Gaza Strip. When she arrived at the Netzarim checkpoint, the occupation army shot her in the feet.
Those who refuse to abandon their loved ones are executed or massacred using U.S.-made weapons. The cowardly enemy is seeking to implement what it calls "the Generals' Plan", which calls for the complete extermination of the Palestinian population and the establishment of a Zionist "military zone" in the north of the Gaza Strip, as well as the reestablishment of Zionist colonies, which were forced to leave Gaza by the Palestinian resistance in 2005....
Let's be clear: Israel is a genocidal regime operating with the full support and cover of the U.S. empire and its imperialist partners in Britain, France, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and others. Western media attempts to distort the facts and invent fictions about what is happening in northern Gaza are a tactic long used by imperialism. Western mainstream news channels and complicit journalists must also be seen as part of the many forces seeking to destroy the Palestinian cause and our struggle. Rather than commit to the principles of truth and integrity, these entities and individuals attempt to "pass off" the burning of people alive, the execution of women and children in cold blood, and the attempted displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from their homes as legitimate and justified acts on the part of the Zionist entity.
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network calls on all organizations and groups supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people to document and inform about the reality of the genocide in Gaza, to mobilize and escalate in support of the tens of thousands of Palestinian prisoners currently in the hands of the Zionist entity, and to organize actively in support of the resistance and the Palestinian and Lebanese people in this decisive phase of the national liberation struggle unfolding before our eyes today. Like the principle of Sinwar's stick (Asa al Sinwar), we must take upon ourselves the duty to resist zionism and imperialism from wherever we are, however we can, to our very last breath, until the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea, and the liberation of the region and the people of the world from imperialism.

"Fathi Al-Shaqaqi... You will not believe until you see the blood on my chest", published in Al-Akhbar by Yousef Fares on October 13, 2022 (2/2):
—
"Abu Ibrahim" did not escape the wave of takfir and accusations of Shiism by the Salafi movement, whose fatwas drove hundreds of fighters to leave Palestine, believing that “the priority was to fight the communists in Afghanistan.
Al-Shaqaqi responded to this in his book "The Sunnis and the Shia... A Fabricated Controversy", saying: "Would the West remain silent over the joy of Muslim nations at the revolution’s victory? No, they are trying to incite division between the Sunni and Shia wings of the Ummah, in a final attempt to contain the revolutionary wave and prevent its influence from reaching oil-rich areas... for colonialism and its allies among the oil princes and puppet tyrants understand that this front does not need weapons or armies, only scholars to issue fatwas. So Muslims, whether officially in government or not, and clad in black turbans and beards, suddenly discovered that Imam Khomeini was a Shia, and that Shia are a deviant, heretical sect." He continued: "We now see young Muslims carrying a Saudi book full of errors and lies, bringing it from mosque to mosque, preaching its falsehoods to people. I understand that some of them are acting with good intentions, thinking they work for God, but I also know that the road to hell is paved with such intentions."
His 44 years of life embraced every death threat with his favorite phrase: "The guardian of life is its appointed end."
In Zagazig as well, there was a lengthy discussion about the new movement’s features. Dr. Mohamed Moro, a friend of the martyred Al-Shaqaqi, said: “We started from the idea that Jihad is a comprehensive national movement encompassing all social groups... a Christian living in a Muslim society is culturally Muslim... and we understood that this movement should be a grassroots movement, engaging with the public in markets, mosques, universities, and libraries. Bureaucratic institutional structures burden the movement with responsibilities and make it vulnerable to exploitation.” Thus, the movement, which began in the early 1980s, played a role beyond its organizational size; “Jihad,” as many say, “is an idea greater than the organization.” It is a “missionary entity followed by the masses, with even opponents and adversaries later supporting the ideas they once opposed, with their own blood.”
Finally, the defiant man met his fate, which had guarded him for 44 years, a life where he greeted every threat of death with his favorite phrase: “The guardian of life is its appointed end.” Al-Shaqaqi was martyred, and as Mohamed Moro said, “Who will be martyred if not Fathi Al-Shaqaqi?” He left his indelible mark on every upheaval that rocked Palestine, wishing to keep its wounds open: “My people, bring salt... so this wound remains alive.” Throughout his life, he reproached himself: “I will not forgive you; my mother curses me if I forgave... Al-Quds will cast me out if I forget.” He continued to confront his adversaries with the proof of his sincerity, his own blood:
"You will not believe me... until you see my blood on my chest."

"Fathi Al-Shaqaqi... You will not believe until you see the blood on my chest", published in Al-Akhbar by Yousef Fares on October 13, 2022 (1/2):
—
Ibrahim Al-Shaweesh was the name on Fathi Al-Shaqaqi’s forged passport when a "Mossad" unit assassinated him on October 26, 1995, in the town of Sliema on the island of Malta. Fathi Ibrahim Al-Shaqaqi (1951) was born in Rafah refugee camp, and was a diligent student at Birzeit University, from which he graduated with a degree in mathematics. He then went to Zagazig University in Egypt before returning to work as a doctor at Al-Mutala’ Hospital in Al-Quds, and later in Gaza. In Zagazig, alongside his fellow students, Al-Shaqaqi found answers to questions that had troubled him for years. A native of the occupied village of Zarnouqa and a believer in Nasserist nationalism with profound feelings and insights, he searched extensively for the reasons behind the defeat and the role of Islam as a belief in the Palestinian cause. Amid these questions, the Islamic Revolution erupted in Iran, which Al-Shaqaqi—the founder of Islamic Jihad—saw as a turning point that would disrupt the stagnant Arab, Islamic, and international landscape after the decline of nationalist and socialist movements.
At that time, the martyr wrote his book, "Khomeini... The Islamic Solution and Alternative" where he laid out his forward-looking ideas for the future of the region and the world, just months before the revolution’s victory. Later, his writings, under the pseudonym "Fathi Abdel Aziz," stirred great debate, especially since he dedicated the book to "the two men of the Quran... Imam Hassan Al-Banna and the revolutionary Ayatollah Khomeini." Many questions arose about the identity of the movement he would establish in the early 1980s: did Al-Shaqaqi break away from the Muslim Brotherhood, to which he belonged, or did he introduce a new ideology from within it? Nevertheless, "Ezz Al-Din Al-Fares" did not focus on these debates but rather expressed his firm belief that "the black turbans have a role in the last quarter of the 20th century... and the black headscarves of women, too." Al-Shaqaqi also saw a connection between "the martyrdom of Hussein over 1,300 years ago and the fall of some of the most modern regimes in West Asia." He answered the flood of defeatist questions by drawing from the words of his previous inspiration, Gamal Abdel Nasser: "With whom shall I save this revolution? If only I were one of the men of religion." He analyzed past revolutionary experiences, like that of Algeria, referencing the words of Houari Boumediene, who rebelled against Ahmed Ben Bella: "I saw hundreds of thousands of Algerians walking in Sheikh Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi’s funeral, as if rejecting the new ways Ben Bella brought them. The people longed for the conservative past, seeing the effects of the revolutionary present."
Al-Shaqaqi thus presented “revolutionary Islam” as an alternative, criticizing rigid interpretations of scripture that confined religion to legalistic punishments, like "cutting off the hand of the thief and flogging the adulterer," while lands as far as the eye could see were drowning in debt created by colonialism, which had seized their political decisions and stunted their development and progress.
Al-Shaqaqi and his companions rediscovered Sheikh Ezz Al-Din Al-Qassam, the Azhari scholar who left his town of Jableh in the Latakia district of Syria (1920), under French occupation, to Haifa in Palestine. There, the martyred Sheikh rallied people to resist British occupation before ascending in the Battle of Ya'bad in the forests of Jenin (1935). Al-Shaqaqi and his comrades carried Al-Qassam’s story as a profound symbol, opposing the "Gulf Islamists" who answered the call to fight in Kabul when the U.S. signaled for "jihad" against the Soviets, as the late journalist Mohamed Hassanein Heikal described.

Take action: Join days of rage against the Zionist massacres and starvation policy in Gaza!
The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, called for responding to the popular call by the Palestinian resistance and by the Palestinian people’s health, education and human rights sectors to organize international days of rage against the Zionist-U.S. massacres, genocide and policies of terror, starvation and displacement that target our people throughout the Gaza Strip.
Jaldia Abubakra, a member of the Executive Committee of the movement, said that “What is happening in the Gaza Strip now is genocide and a criminal Zionist-U.S. war that has been perpetrated against our people for 381 days. It has not stopped for a single hour. This is a dirty, genocidal aggression being waged with U.S. and European weapons, bombs and technology, and by starving and besieging our people, depriving them of medicine, bread and their most basic human rights throughout the Gaza Strip, especially in the North. The aim of the Zionists and imperilists is clear: displacement, destruction and the return of the Zionist colonies that were swept away by the Palestinian resistance in 2005.”
Abubakra emphasized that all must “express popular anger in the streets of Europe, North America, and Arab capitals against the Zionist movement and the Western imperialist countries that support the Zionist entity and justify its crimes in their media platforms and in all regional as international forums, such as Germany, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Britain and others.”
“The Arab Republic of Egypt must no longer stand in one line with the Zionist enemy and U.S. imperialism. Egypt must exercise its legal and political responsibility and open the Egyptian-Palestinian crossings to allow food and medicine convoys to enter for our besieged people in the Gaza Strip,” Abubakra said, calling on “our Egyptian brothers and sisters to express their popular cry in the streets, universities, squares and in front of Western embassies and the Zionist enemy’s embassy in Cairo.”
“What the enemy has failed to take through its weapons and bombs, it will not succeed in taking by starving our people in Gaza,” Abubakra said. She reaffirmed the movement’s position in support of “the heroic Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, the operations of the Yemeni armed forces and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which have proven their commitment and ability to confront the Zionist enemy.”
