89 Days of "israeli" Aggression: Occupation Forces Tear Through 15 Streets in Jenin Camp
The occupation forces continue their assault on Jenin and its camp for the 89th consecutive day, with ongoing bulldozing and destruction of infrastructure.
The occupation has carved through 15 streets in Jenin Camp at the expense of dozens of homes, many of which have been completely destroyed or severely damaged.
The occupation has tightened its siege on Jenin Camp, closing more roads leading to it with dirt barricades.
It has intensified raids on the western and southern villages of Jenin, storming residents’ homes and setting up numerous checkpoints at the southern entrance to the city, obstructing traffic.
The occupation deployed reinforcements and a D9 bulldozer, which destroyed side roads leading to the town of Burqin and devastated infrastructure.
The towns of Silat Al-Harithiya and the villages of Kafr Dan and Al-Yamun were raided, with military incursions into neighborhoods and streets.
Approximately 600 homes have been destroyed in Jenin Camp, while around 3,000 housing units are now uninhabitable. This has severely impacted the local economy, as thousands of displaced people have lost their livelihoods, leading to a significant rise in poverty in the Jenin community and further complicating the already dire humanitarian crisis.
The number of displaced persons from the camp has reached around 21,000, spread across the Jenin Governorate, including 6,000 in the city itself, 4,181 in the town of Burqin, and 32,000 in the dormitories of the Arab American University.
The aggression in Jenin city and camp has resulted in the martyrdom of 40 individuals, including two who were shot by Palestinian Authority security forces.
