6- Hanoch Milevitsky, who was punished by the Bar Association, decided to take revenge on it and try to close it down.

7- Tally Gottlieb, who built her career defending rapists, but was unsuccessful in being appointed a judge.

8- Shlomo Karhi, who has no more real connection to the original Likud party than Yair Netanyahu has to true Zionism. Karhi represents Rabbi Mazuz in the Knesset, not Menachem Begin.

On Thursday, the media poison machine seemed bored, attacking Gadi Eisenkot. Eisenkot's fault? That he dared to appear on air and say that what we have been seeing in recent weeks is nothing but a disinformation campaign by the Prime Minister's Office to distract attention from the truth.

This is a government without a strategic compass. The United States is on the verge of withdrawing from Syria, and this is a strategic disaster. A vacuum will be created that Türkiye seeks to fill, and Iran could expand into southern Syria, but here they are preoccupied with trivialities.

Netanyahu is watching the scene as if he were a referee in a table tennis match, and not a single one of the war's objectives has been achieved, despite the passage of a year and a half.

Professional and neutral statistical sources say that the results of the municipal elections in Mount Lebanon revealed that the voting power of the parties that won seats in the 2022 parliamentary elections remained unchanged.

The only place that will hold surprises is the capital Beirut, where the capital's main political force, the Future Movement, and the Hariri camp in general, are absent...

This will make the second and third organized forces represented by the Shiite duo (Hezbollah &Amal Movement) and Al-Ahbash, the decisive factor in the elections and alliances.

🔘 "The obvious technological humiliation of the Pentagon and NATO is the defeat of their objectives over Yemen and in the Red Sea, as well as the impenetrable air defense system of the Houthis," stated military expert Alexander Khrolenko.

"The Houthis' 'Iron Dome' is a mystery for the Americans. In 19 months, 22 strategic MQ-9 Reaper drones of the U.S. Air Force have been downed, and 26 in total over the years of war. It’s a difficult target: MQ-9 drones fly at altitudes up to 15 km at speeds up to 500 km/h and cost about $30 million each. The backbone of the Houthi air defense is made up of Russian-made R-27 'air-to-air' missiles with a range of up to 80 km, modified into surface-to-air missile systems for ground launch.

"As a result of Yemen's strike on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier 'Harry Truman' in the Red Sea on April 28, an F-18 fighter of the U.S. Navy was destroyed. And this is not the first time, a similar F-18 was downed in December 2024 – during takeoff from the same aircraft carrier. The technological humiliation of the Pentagon is evident. It is a short step to the strategic defeat of the United States."

🔴 Al-Waqi's editorial for Saturday, titled: Hezbollah sets priorities... The discussion over the defense strategy is the last.

Editorial staff - Al-Waqi' website

It is clear that what Sheikh Qassem presented regarding the party's view of the defensive strategy and its timing stems from the strengths of the resistance, and the most prominent message behind the stance is directed primarily at the Americans.

After constructive silence and an examination of the facts and developments, Hezbollah has revealed its position regarding the resistance's weapons and its future. It has responded to the campaigns launched against its weapons, placing them in the category of alignment with Israeli demands, to confirm that any attack on the resistance's weapons will be confronted.

A position expressed by its Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, who devoted a speech in which he outlined all priorities , which must begin with halting the Israeli aggression, withdrawal, and halting violations , as stipulated in Resolution 1701 as a first step.

Refusing to jump to the second phase , which is supposed to begin after the Lebanese state also fulfills its obligations, most notably its pledge and commitment to reconstruction.

Perhaps the most prominent statement made by Sheikh Qassem was the use of the resistance's weapons exclusively to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression, presenting the party's concept of restricting weapons to the state in a way that is linked to extending its authority and maintaining security, which is not the responsibility of the resistance.

Sheikh Qassem considered that after the implementation of the first phase of Resolution 1701 by both parties, while emphasizing Lebanon's commitment to it, it is possible to move to the second phase, provided that the discussion begins according to three principles, according to Sheikh Qassem:

Protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty, liberating its land, and stopping all forms of Israeli aggression.

Investing the strength and weapons of the resistance within a defensive strategy that achieves liberation and protection.

Rejecting any step that would weaken Lebanon or lead to its surrender to the Israeli enemy.

In his speech, Sheikh Qassem spoke of an exchange of messages between the party and President Aoun, and of understandings with the Lebanese army. He emphasized that a clash between the resistance and the army would not occur, as some in Lebanon are claiming.

It is clear that Sheikh Qassem's presentation of the party's view of the defensive strategy and its timing stems from the resistance's strengths, and the most prominent message behind the position is directed primarily at the Americans.

They are exerting public pressure in this regard, in an attempt to strip Lebanon of its power in order to impose guardianship over it and, as the resistance sees it, to make its land open to Israeli expansion.

The party's stance represents an internal turning point, as Sheikh Qassim has placed the state under a duty to fulfill its commitments, based on the inaugural address and the ministerial statement , specifically with regard to reconstruction. This matter must be addressed as soon as possible , according to the party's Secretary General.

Sheikh Qassim's speech was a correction of internal trends , a response to those calling for disarmament as necessary, and caused them to lose many of their bets.

🔴 Washington is repositioning its forces in Syria... No complete withdrawal and no harm to the function of strategic bases.

Khalil Nasrallah - Regional Affairs Specialist

When the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood erupted on October 7, 2023, and Washington mobilized forces in the region by sea and land with the aim of what it called at the time “deterring Iran and its allies” and preventing the war from expanding beyond Gaza, Israel declared a state of war.

The reality of the presence of illegal American bases in Syria, the nature of their operation, and the primary reasons for their establishment are beginning to emerge. Chief among these is supporting and protecting "Israel's security" and promoting "American interests" in the region as a whole, should a major conflict or war erupt.

The US bases in Syria played a prominent role in repelling the two Iranian attacks in 2024, a fact the Americans did not hide, but rather openly acknowledged.

These bases, particularly the main ones, have been reinforced since before October 7, 2023, with early warning systems, advanced air defenses, operations and control centers, warplanes and helicopters, and other equipment. The Americans linked this to the fight against ISIS, but the facts have proven these justifications to be false.

A few days ago, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported, citing sources, that Washington was withdrawing equipment and troops from Syria. On Thursday, April 18, 2025, the New York Times reported that American officials confirmed that the number of troops in Syria would be reduced to 1,500 soldiers, and that three small points - what they called "small bases" - would be dismantled: the Qaryat Jarin point, the Euphrates point, and a third point that it did not name. The move would be evaluated after two months.

This means not touching the main bases, whether in Al-Tanf or in the northeast of the country.

The real reasons for the American move:

Washington has long linked its illegal military presence in Syria to the fight against ISIS or the resurgence of its threat. However, the facts, particularly after the group's territorial control ended in 2019, have proven that its presence is linked to confronting Iran and its allies, and, to a lesser extent, the Russian presence. This is evident in American facts, practices, and behavior.

In recent years, and since 2019, Washington has undertaken numerous military and security repositionings, strengthening its bases, and even establishing new ones and expanding others. At that stage, the most important role of the bases was to "deter" resistance forces stationed in strategic areas west of the Euphrates River.

Not to mention other missions related to "Israel's security" and ensuring American air power over large areas of the country.

In 2019, 2020, late 2021, and after October 7, 2023, and during the two Iranian operations, Operation True Promise, the Americans carried out security and military repositionings that mirrored regional developments. However, the current repositioning can be summarized as follows:

• It comes after the fall of the Syrian regime, Iran’s withdrawal of its advisors, the departure of the resistance forces from Syria, and the decline and waning of the Russian role, which means the disappearance of what Washington considered “the most prominent threat.”

• Reducing forces from some points in Syria has logistical dimensions that are not of strategic value.

• Strengthening military and technical presence in other regions of West Asia, especially with the escalation against Yemen and the possibility of escalation against Iran.

Reducing forces does not affect Washington's strategy.

Reducing the number of troops and dismantling some facilities does not affect Washington's strategy in Syria and the region, which has not changed with the change of administrations in the United States since 2011, as the strategic function of the bases remains constant.

— 🇮🇷/🇵🇰 NOTE: Ayatollah Khamenei only visited a handful of foreign nations, most of them before he became President, and all of them before he became Supreme Leader

Out of his 8 official foreign state visits, his very first visit was to Pakistan and the Kashmir region in 1980, back when Khamenei was Tehran's Friday Imam and the Deputy Minister of Defense.

Ayatollah Khomeini, Iran's Supreme Leader at the time, had sent Ayatollah Khamenei, his close confidant, to the Kashmir region to speak to the Sunni population about Iran's revolution and the importance of Islamic unity, especially between Shia and Sunni Muslims.

During his trip to Pakistan, Ayatollah Khamenei met with Pakistani leader Zia Al-Haqq, and many prominent members of Pakistani Islamic clergy.

Afterwards, he visited Azad Kashmir, and then Indian-occupied Kashmir, giving a famous speech in the Jamia Masjid of Srinagar, a Sunni mosque, where he talked about the importance of Islamic unity and regaining Islamic lands, right under the eyes of the Indian authorities.

He was the first high-profile Shia official to publicly participate in the Sunni-led Friday prayers, at the Jamia mosque, praying behind Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq, the chief preacher of Kashmir.

He also visited the Shia communities, appearing at Hussainiyas in Badgam, where he met with various high-ranking Shia clerics from the Kashmir region.

Throughout the past few decades, due to political and economic reasons, Iran has never been able to fully voice its support regarding the Kashmir region, in order not to antagonize relations with India. But make no mistake: Ayatollah Khamenei and the Islamic Republic has always stood squarely besides the Kashmiri people.

🔴 Haaretz editorial: Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir don't care about the security of Arab citizens

If the prime minister were truly interested in correcting the injustices perpetrated against Arab society, he would have dismissed Ben-Gvir and appointed a minister of internal security who would work to increase budgets to address crime in Arab society.

But Netanyahu is not interested in fixing anything, only in destroying anything, except what ensures his continued rule.

There is no quagmire in Gaza like Vietnam, but the similarities between the two wars are striking. Just as is the case with the Israeli military today, American commanders displayed an aggressive spirit, relying on massive firepower and advanced technology unavailable to the enemy. They showed contempt for the lives of civilians whose areas were bombed and who were displaced from their villages, just as happened with the Palestinians in Rafah, Shuja'iyya, and Khan Yunis.

Washington has long operated on the principle of reducing forces for a long-term presence, a vision envisioned by Kenneth McKenzie, commander of the US Central Command, which was implemented in 2019 and subsequently reinforced.

If bases and forces can be reinforced to meet challenges when necessary, which has happened more than once since the events of October 7, then, in light of the ongoing war's consequences, maintaining the previous reinforcements as they are does not seem effective.

Accordingly, the redeployment of forces, the withdrawal of some of them, and the termination and dismantling of some points—which occurred previously in 2019 in the north of the country, coinciding with Turkey's Operation Peace Spring—represent a shift in Washington's strategy, both in Syria and the region.

The announced drawdown of forces primarily serves media interests. Therefore, leaks from officials should not be interpreted as a withdrawal from Syria, especially given that Washington continues to sponsor local militias.

It is also pressuring the new authorities to secure economic and political gains, legitimize its presence in Syria within the framework of a "regional deterrence" vision, and serve Israeli security interests.

📖 Ben Caspit - Maariv Hebrew Newspaper:

If we compare Israel to a human body, the beginning of the current chaos was a local infection, inflammation that began to spread, fever, then a high fever.

Then the situation began to deteriorate. The infection spread. Gangrene affected several organs. Antibiotics were of no use.

Doctors tried to intervene, but to no avail. It wasn't an external infection, nor a virus that had leaked from a lab and infiltrated us. It was a self-destructive process, our immune system attacking itself and starting to collapse.

In recent months, the situation has deteriorated to the point of total machine failure. First, we needed an artery ligation, then an urgent amputation, then a major life-saving operation. Today, it's clear we need resuscitation. Or a miracle, or both.

The Bibis' (Netanyahu's followers') maniacal assault on the country is entering its final stages. Their self-confidence is sky-high, and even the sky is no longer the limit for them. They draw inspiration from what is happening overseas, in America. They want to be like Trump, but faster, higher, and stronger.

Rarely does a day pass without a violent, toxic, and blatant attack launched by the "poison machine" of the coalition of thugs against anyone who might pose a threat to it. Now it is the turn of Ronen Bar, the head of the Shin Bet. I pray that he will stand firm, that he will not collapse, that he will not resign under the current pressure, because his surrender will only increase their appetite for one target after another. This is what they have been doing since October 7th: attacking everyone, one by one, settling scores, emptying the arena.

They are working to normalize everything. Even when it becomes clear that the prime minister's staff were involved in stealing top-secret documents, which could compromise intelligence sources and strategic assets if published, they are using this as a pickaxe to continue burying the state.

A coalition has been formed whose goal is to settle scores, not to rebuild the state, revive the economy, restore international standing, or even enhance security. Settling scores, that's what's happening.

1- Let's start with Itamar Ben-Gvir, a former head of the Shin Bet. He once told me, "This is all because of us." When I asked him why, he replied that the Shin Bet was the one who refused to conscript Ben-Gvir into the army, and now he's taking revenge on us. He's never forgiven us for that.

2- Moving on to Bezalel Smotrich. The Shin Bet previously classified him as a terrorist, and I heard this firsthand from Yitzhak Ilan, the Shin Bet's deputy director and one of the agency's most senior interrogators.

Smotrich, who spent a considerable amount of time in detention in the past and was suspected of planning a terror attack on Ayalon Highway, is now exacting his revenge on the Shin Bet. These two—Ben-Gvir and Smotrich—took Kahanist ideas, domesticated them, tamed them, wrapped them in legal language, and funneled them through the back alley to the center of government.

3- Let's turn to the Haredi parties. They are not motivated by revenge, but by domination and control. Their demand is simple: continued comprehensive exemption from military service for yeshiva students, and continued direct and absolute access to the state treasury.

There's no need to elaborate on Aryeh Deri. The man was convicted, imprisoned, returned, convicted again, and removed from the government. Anyone who has known Deri since his early days knows exactly what his true opinion is of Benjamin Netanyahu, but that's irrelevant now. Netanyahu is just a tool. He's the donkey Deri rides on his journey, and no one knows where.

4- Dudi Amsalem, who was taken in handcuffs to court and was recommended to be indicted, and has since vowed to destroy the institutions that dared to investigate him.

5- Moshe Saadeh, who was not appointed head of the Police Investigation Unit (PID), decided to wage war on the PID and the Ministry of Justice.

🔴 "Israel" admits to the starvation war in Gaza... aircraft lava versus intestines

Journalist Khalil Nasrallah, a specialist in regional affairs, published:

Tel Aviv has not succeeded militarily in recovering its prisoners, nor in assassinating Palestinian resistance leaders, nor in conducting ground invasions.

It resorted to destroying life's facilities throughout the Strip, and committing massacres and genocides documented on television.

After concluding the deal in its first phase, the war resumed with American support. This phase included a complete halt to humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and fuel, and the destruction of homes and their inhabitants.

A security official publicly told Yedioth Ahronoth: “Military pressure is beginning to bear fruit, and food and fuel will run out in Gaza within weeks. Military and political pressure will ultimately lead to a deal.”

What the security official stated, with clarity and bravado, is an admission of the massacre that the world is turning a blind eye to.

There is no doubt that intensive negotiations are taking place, as announced by the office of the occupation Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

But what he did not state was the steadfastness of the people of Gaza and their resistance in the face of starvation to break their will and abandon their weapons as a step towards displacement.

In contrast, there is Arab silence as if nothing had happened, which is more than a stab in the chest of the Palestinian cause as a whole.

The ongoing war of aggression can be summed up as a war of airstrikes versus intestines. Here, the battle of wills is embodied, in which the Palestinians still hold the upper hand, despite the heavy price they are paying.
