“Filled with happy tales, good morals, and a systematic approach to teaching reading, it is clear why McGuffey's Readers have been among the most loved and most used books in American history. McGuffey's Primer starts out with the basics of the alphabet and gradually builds up the phonics skills and sight word recognition until the child is reading full paragraphs and narratives. Readers 1 - 6 build upon this approach and take the young learner step by step until they are reading works from some of the greatest minds and writers in history. The strength of these Readers is in its sequential gradation of skills. Its beauty is in its timeless stories.”

Since the kids are both far ahead in their basic math requirements we’ve decided to shift gears in emphasis. We are hitting language learning hard this year. Together we are all learning German as well as improving the children’s Spanish.
I believe it’s ideal for cognitive development for children to be able to communicate in three languages and historically this has been the baseline for the children of upper class Whites. This does not include the knowledge of the basic prayers in Latin.
In the future Spanish will greatly help with their understanding of Latin and German helps deepen our understanding of English.

🤍 I love my children and want them to thrive.🤍 Nobody seems to misconstrue this as some bizarre message of hatred against other people's children.
🤍 I love my people–my ancestors and their descendants.🤍 This is also not a statement of hatred against other people. The natural inference of an expression of love is not hate. Love your people proudly.

"From a metapolitical dissident perspective I greatly appreciated how Chisolm’s A People Called American transmits an excellent version of the classic North American pioneer creation myth by way of a father explaining his peoples special place and history in history of America. As a father reading a book with their kid, I appreciated how this myth is communicated in a way that is accessible for a seven-year-old. Chisolm balances between being entertaining and educational very well in this book.
In the book we meet Tommy, a typical White Kid, who gets lectured in school about the evils of colonialism and gets picked on by some kids in school. Tommy is troubled by what he has learned about his people’s problematic role in his country’s problematic history. Tommy confides his feelings to his father who sets him straight by telling him about his family’s pioneer history.
Through Chisolm’s vibrant watercolors we join Tommy as learns about how his impoverished Scottish ancestors were forced off their homelands by greedy landlords and crammed on to an ocean ship bound for America, never to see their relatives again. Upon reaching America we see Tommy’s family struggle to survive on the frontier as they build their new country and a life for themselves."

“Mott Media has republished the version of Ray's Arithmetics from the late 1870's and early 1880's! This book introduces the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with counting and other basic skills. It can be used to guide your teaching for about two years - through grades 1 and 2. It goes farther than the average second grade course, but with Ray's mental system many second graders are able to do this work."

Consider giving teenagers light phones instead of smart phones.
“The Light Phone II does not display images, have a camera, an internet browser or any access to social media or other apps. It will never have social media, clickbait news, email or any other anxiety-inducing infinite feed. The phone uses a unique electronic paper screen, a technology also found in popular e-readers. This does not emit any blue light like traditional backlit screens. It's visible in direct sunlight and limited to black and white, intentionally. Tools currently include an alarm, a timer, a calculator, directions, directory, a simple music player, notes/voice memo and calendar.”

“The adoption industry has made sure that Whites in autochthonous white countries have trouble finding healthy white children to adopt. Therefore, many white adoption parents have put their energy and finances into bringing up non-white children. This is obviously very destructive to our racial survival and should not be encouraged. There are plenty of healthy, white children whose parents would like to give them a better upbringing but can’t. For the sake of the child’s happiness and personal development, giving a white child a new home in a secure environment can be a formidable solution for all three parties: the biological parent(s), the adoptive parent(s), and the child.”

This is my oldest sons most recent project. He built a scale wood model of the Russian PPSH to give to his best friend for Christmas.
After chores and homeschool he disappears into my shop for hours building different toys and models out of scrap wood I've saved. Almost all of his projects are gifts for his friends.

“Where unsuitable home conditions exist, Indian children should be removed from their parents just as white children are, when they are found to be neglected.” -Indian Association of Alberta, 1947
“We Indians are naturally very religious. It was as far back as 1648 that the Jesuit Poneet came to this island and spent seven months with us teaching us the Catholic religion. We love our religion and mean to resist any attempts by minority groups to deprive us of it. For this reason we are very much opposed to the public system of education being foisted upon us. We want to keep our Catholic denominational schools and we wish to keep religion in our schools as we have always had it from the beginning.” -Wikwemikong Reserve, 1946
“Our children are receiving the best education at the Pine Creek Residential School. They are receiving the best religious, academic and vocational training, which we greatly appreciate and for which we are grateful. We realizer the importance of good education now more than ever before. We especially realize the importance of religious teaching in our schools.” -Chief Theadore Flatfoot, 1946
“We, the Indians of Ohamil reserve submit the following demands to the Special Joint Committe in Ottawa… We believe the present system of education is satisfactory and no change is desired. We would like to see the present residential schools enlarged and new ones built.” -Ohamil reserve, 1946

🇨🇦Euro-Canadian parents, ensure your children know the truth about residential schools by showing them what public school teachers hide:
“We would prefer to see our children without instruction rather than have their education taken out of the hands of Priests and Sisters, who for more than half a century have been sharing all our adversities and were often the sole protectors of our rights.” -Fort Vermillion Reserve, 1946
“We urgently ask for a new residential school capable of housing at least 100 children.” -Indians of the Piegan Reserve, 1946
“We are glad to have an Indian Residential School at Fort Vermillion, managed by a religious corporation. This is the only system which can satisfy us; and we hope this shall be maintained.” -Chief Narcisse Pierrot, Beaver Indians of Boyer River Band, 1946
“We recommend that Indian Residential Schools be maintained as now operated and in the future be the centres where our orphan children be maintained therein.” -Chief of Moose Woods, Charlie Hawke, 1947
“As we have already stated in 1939, since we are all Roman Catholic the teaching in these schools that we ask for should be given according to our religion and by teachers of our religion and we will accept none other.” -Chief Dziedin, 1947
“We are all Catholics and we want the schools for our children to be of Catholic doctrine and to be taught by Catholic teachers. Only if the schools can be built closer to our homes we should be glad. The present Day and Residential School System has given good satisfaction.” -Chief Andre Lacou, 1947
“We are a band that is completely Catholic and our religion means a good deal to us. We are glad to be Catholic like over half the Indians in Canada are, and we want to stay that way. That’s why we don’t want to have the slightest thing to do with any kind of cheap public school. We insist on denominational schools and Catholic ones at that.” -Chief Wahnapitae, 1946

The body is a machine everyone should seek to understand. You would be surprised at the choices your children will make when they understand the basics. We start with the skeletal and muscular systems but also basic nutritional facts.
Understanding the role of hydration, protein, micronutrients, carbs etc helps them make healthy choices. Understanding the different bones and muscles of the body can help them relay information when they’re hurt. Understanding hypertrophy, hormones, sleep etc
The sooner these decisions come from the child the better. Parenting becomes easier when the child does not feel bombarded with pointless rules and limitations but rather understands why these choices will lead to better outcomes.
Of course mileage will vary as some children have a greater or lesser instinct with regard to delaying gratification and seeking better long term outcomes at the expense of denying themselves in the moment but all children benefit from knowing these things to some extent.
