The founding fathers of the US were mostly freemasonic liberals, not believing Christians. Aside from similarities between Masonry and Kabbalah, what Stephens said about liberal values is true. The social philosophy of the US is liberalism, not Christianity. Liberalism is about the worship of the lowly self (ego/nafs), not worship of God. By having such a philosophy as the bedrock of American so-called "values," it is easy to create a nation full of immoral, corrupt, selfish, and godless people — which wasn't done overnight, but slowly through media warfare which slowly moved the goalposts of social morality, such as the beginning of the I Love Lucy series showing Lucy and Ricky Ricardo having two separate beds, and then having a combined bed by the series' finale (slow dismantlement of modesty and chastity, to dismantle the family). A nation of godless, arrogant, and corrupt people will certainly not care if their government dominates the world and stacks up millions of bodies of innocent people in order to maintain their own personal comfort.
