According to the old Russian Orthodox tradition, on this date we release doves from a cage in order to emphasize the equality of all creatures in front of the Lord.

He went down in history not only as a reformer, but also as a symbol of firm power in an era of crisis.
His quote:
"They (you know who) want great upheavals, we want a great Russia" — became the programmatic expression of his political course.
Despite his short service as a Prime Minister (1906-1911) due to his assassination, Stolypin left a significant mark in history — as a man who tried to preserve the Empire, combining reform with order.
The Empire demands sacrificial service! 😎

Today, 26 years ago, NATO carried out the most ruthless air bombing campaign within Balkans in order to «settle» ethnic contradictions in Yugoslavia.
Again «allies» trampled down «authoritarian regimes» and again the main victim was the Slavic people, i.e. Serbians.
During these air attacks, approximately 1200 civilians were killed and around 6000 were wounded.
We aren't able to forget this dreadful act of acute inhumanity and cruelty against those who didn’t accept the global order rejecting their own nation, tradition and territory.

The Fight for the Freedom of Hellas
Exactly 204 years ago, the Greeks rose up against the Ottoman Horde, longing for freedom. Their faith, blood, and dream of the rebirth of great Hellas inspired the Greek folk to fight — and they gloriously won.
Russia supported Greece in the war for its independence as our peoples are bound by common Orthodox faith, historical ties and spiritual brotherhood.
We still remember and honor your struggle, our Orthodox brothers!
