🚨 A third security incident has taken place in the #Gaza Strip, where an IOF soldier was killed in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah.

Among at least 5 injuries in Rafah, at least 3 are critical. One of the critical injuries is a deputy company commander who was targeted by an anti-tank missile in Rafah.

The security events are north of Rafah, Tal Al-Sultan in Rafah, and Zaytoun/Shuja'iyya. Drones continue to fly over Zaytoun, and airstrikes and shelling continue to target east of the neighborhood. Intense clashes are still continuing east of Shuja'iyya to this moment, over two hours later.

The soldiers in the first southern Gaza Strip incident belong to the Yamas Unit of the "Israeli" Border Police, which is used for special operations (potentially a failed rescue of zionist captives).

Despite the immense and catastrophic destruction of Rafah, the fighters were lying in wait for the right opportunity. They handed over their weapons, but directly into the hearts of the enemy.

"By deploying techniques of counterinsurgent warfare against domestic populations in the form of prisons, police, and covert FBI and CIA operations against target populations, the United States wars not only internally against its internal colonies and radicals of various stripes, but also externally, against subjugated nations in the Global South...

While anti-imperialists must struggle against the imperialists from above, so too must we struggle against counterinsurgency from below—even within the left."

Statement from Musa, an activist & journalist who was targeted by DHS, detained, and had their devices seized.

Returning from international travel, Musa was detained and interrogated for over three hours at Tampa airport before having their phone and computer confiscated.

On Tuesday, April 8, I was unlawfully detained and interrogated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Tampa airport while returning to the United States from international travel. I was told that “most of your rights are suspended” because “this airport is a border crossing,” including my right to a lawyer. I was interrogated by a Counterterrorism agent and treated like a criminal and a terrorist—synonyms this empire has long made interchangeable with being Black, Muslim, and politically active.

For roughly over three hours I was held without access to legal counsel, aggressively questioned, patted down, and subjected to an invasive groin search. My passport was taken, all of my belongings were searched, and eventually my devices—my cell phone and laptop—were seized without justification. After seizing my devices, three CBP agents attempted to coerce me into powering on the devices and surrendering my device passwords; when I refused, which I knew was my right to do, they were very visibly aggravated.

This targeting was not random. It was retaliation for supporting a friend—an international student activist targeted by the Trump administration—as they made the difficult but legal decision to leave the country rather than face prolonged detention for free speech.

Returning from a trip to Cuba, one of many fully legal visits I’ve taken over the years, and my solidarity organizing on behalf of Palestinian liberation, were used as the basis for the politically-motivated interrogation: CBP agents asked whether I had received so-called ‘military training’ in Cuba or the Middle East, questioned if I was involved in political activity on the island, and pressed me for information on my potential connections to several foreign students and professors engaged in Palestine solidarity.

From my first interaction with an aggressive CBP agent whose entire tone shifted after reading my name on my passport, to overhearing others say “he’s not going anywhere for a while” and witnessing multiple agents whisper and yell about me, it was clear they intended to intimidate me and extract information to expand their repression, even if it meant trampling my alleged ‘rights’.

This experience is part of a broader pattern. Across administrations, DHS has operated as a politically charged agency to escalate surveillance, harassment, and criminalization of individuals involved in movements for justice, liberation, and in this case, against genocide. Now, we’re witnessing a dangerous heightening of this weaponization.

While the repression of immigrants and foreign students is rightly drawing public attention, my experience confirms that U.S. ‘citizens’, especially Black and Muslim ones, are also targets. As activists and legal professionals have loudly warned: The repression of international students has served as a testing ground, through which the rest of us are increasingly vulnerable and within the crosshairs.

On Tuesday, April 15, we filed a motion in federal district court in Florida to demand the immediate return of my devices and information related to any data accessed by the government. I am sharing this information to share what happened to me, and importantly to issue a broad warning: the state is escalating.

🚨 Following a visit by the lawyer of the prisoner Abdullah Al-Barghouti, it was revealed that he is subjected to deliberate and systematic torture where he endures severe and prolonged daily beatings with rifle butts and iron batons while handcuffed.

The beatings have left horrifying marks on his body, with all his bones suffering from fractures and intense pain, leaving him unable to stand or move.

He is suffering from painful boils and open wounds without receiving any medical treatment. Fellow prisoners in his section help him by disinfecting his wounds with dishwashing liquid, amid a complete absence of healthcare and treatment.

He cannot sleep lying down due to the severity of the fractures and pain; instead, he sleeps while sitting. His weight has dropped by over 50 kilograms, demonstrating the medicinal negligence and starvation policies in the prisons.

We hate to say it but… we told you so. Syria, under the HTS regime, will normalize with the zionist entity exactly as we had warned.

All the activists and social media influencers cheering on the fall of Syria proved their ignorance and should not be taken seriously.

🟡NOW: Around 60 activists have occupied parts of Humboldt University in Berlin in solidarity with Palestine. A banner reading “Intifada until victory” hangs from the occupied building. Outside, spontaneous protests have erupted as police respond with a large deployment.

Last summer, a wave of university occupations swept through Berlin. Protesters demanded a ceasefire in Gaza and called for the severing of institutional ties between German and Israeli universities.

“I don’t make a fetish out of nonviolence.”

Unity of Fields interviewed Ray Luc Levasseur, a former political prisoner. In 1975 Levasseur co-founded the Sam Melville-Jonathan Jackson Unit, which later renamed itself the United Freedom Front. They carried out dozens of expropriations and anti-imperialist bombings until their capture in 1984, after being on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. Levasseur was sentenced to 45 years and served his time in some of the most brutal and repressive prisons in the country, USP Marion and ADX Florence, including thirteen years in solitary confinement. He was released in 2004 after serving 20 years, and now lives in his home state of Maine.

If you are interested in reading more about Ray Luc Levasseur and the United Freedom Front, we recommend reading Until All Are Free: The Trial Statement of Ray Luc Levasseur and checking out his online archives at UMass Amherst, where you can find many of the documents mentioned in the interview.

🚨🔴 Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

Elbit Systems is a partner in killing and burning children in Gaza; the time has come to besiege it, shut it down, and prosecute its leaders

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine calls on the free people of the world—individuals, organizations, and solidarity movements—to take urgent action to besiege Elbit Systems, which is directly involved in the zionist war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip, after its proven participation in the recent massacres that targeted secure tents and burned children and displaced persons.

The "israeli" army’s use of the “SkyStriker” suicide drone—manufactured by Elbit Systems—to carry out crimes that deliberately targeted civilians in cold blood underscores the depth of the collusion between the zionist military establishment and global arms corporations.

Countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and others also bear full responsibility for these crimes, as they are partners in Elbit Systems, one of the occupation’s most important arms suppliers, particularly in its genocidal war against our people.

The Front urges the free people of the world to lay siege to Elbit Systems’ facilities worldwide, organize protests in front of its branches and offices, and pressure complicit Western and other governments to close the company and sever all ties with it.

We also call on the International Criminal Court to pursue the company’s leaders as war criminals, since they are partners of the occupation in perpetrating these crimes.

Devyn Elijah Springer v. United States of America
Date filed: 15 April 2025

Devyn Elijah Springer, who goes by the pen name Musa, is a Black, Muslim, queer activist and journalist from the Atlanta area. On April 8, 2025, they were stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials at the Tampa International Airport on their way home from a trip to Cuba. They were detained and interrogated for hours about their political work and their associations with other prominent activists and scholars who, like Musa, have been outspoken advocates for Palestinian rights and critical of the U.S. government’s role in funding the Israeli military campaign in Gaza. CBP agents subjected Musa to invasive pat-downs, searched their luggage, and seized their phone and laptop. Musa refused to turn on the devices or give their passwords to CBP. The Center for Constitutional Rights and co-counsel filed a motion in federal court in the Middle District of Florida seeking the immediate return of Musa’s electronic devices and copies of any information obtained from them.

🚨 BREAKING: The IOF used an Elbit Systems SkyStriker suicide drone to carry out a deadly strike against a tent of displaced people in Mawasi Khan Younis in the southern #Gaza Strip (Media 1 and 2).

The displaced Dr. Hassan Abdel Rahman Abu Zeid and his wife Israa Al-Maghari were martyred in this strike, and 4 others were wounded.

After not using it since May 2023, the IOF began using these Elbit suicide drones last week on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 in a massacre by suicide drones of the Abu Al-Rus family in Khan Younis that resulted in over 10 martyrs, mostly children (Media 3 and 4).

Since April 17th, these Elbit SkyStriker drones, equipped with a 10kg warhead, have been used almost exclusively against tents of the displaced and at a mosque. This contrasts with the IOF's previous reported use of IAI suicide drones. Still, Elbit Systems produces 85% of the IOF's drones, used daily to execute civilians and terrify citizens.

The components for the Elbit System's SkyStriker drones are sourced from factories and subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, UK, Australia and elsewhere. These include plants in Texas, Alabama, Ulm (Germany), Göteborg (Sweden), New Delhi (India), Kent (UK), Melbourne (Australia), Brazil, and Romania.

Popular, consistent pressure and direct action (e.g. 1,2,3,4) against Elbit and its subsidiaries has forced the closure of Elbit sites in Oldham (UK), Tamworth (UK), and Boston (USA), while the resistance on the ground has repeatedly shot down Elbit's Hermes 450 and 900 drones in Lebanon and hacked their websites from Iraq.

Today, the
PFLP issued a call to besiege Elbit sites worldwide. Activists also obtained the addresses of Elbit Systems executives in the United States.

My name is Ziyan, I am a Kashmiri Muslim from Indian-occupied Kashmir and I am an organizer for the Palestinian movement in occupied Texas...During the occupation and encampment in April 2024, I was amongst many arrested. I am now no longer a student as ICE has revoked my visa -- and as of now, I have fled and am in now what is political exile...

This is the beginning of the destruction of Zionism -- one that we can ensure will fall in our lifetime, a future that is so close, so tangible one can almost taste it -- but to bring it into fruition, we must renew our commitment to the struggle...

Why must we constantly reaffirm our innocence using the logic of the oppressor? Why must we continuously portray ourselves as victims to garner support? Why must we play by the state's rules, constantly asserting legality when the very land we stand on is stolen?

...What worth is the promise of law from a settler's lying tongue?

I do not wish for my persecution to be framed as a purely Trump-led initiative and centering the principles of “free speech”. Did Democrats not deport people? Did Obama and Biden not persecute BLM activists and surveill them?

We cannot recommit to the struggle without first truly and absolutely acknowledging that our movement was militant for a brief period of time -- then collapsed due to internal contradictions combined with a lack of sustainable infrastructure to combat state repression, degenerating into a movement that has become largely toothless out of fear and liberal tendencies of a lack of discipline and disorganization. Despite the insistence of national organizations such as NSJP and PYM and many others in their social media campaigns, I do not think that romanticizing the student movement is acceptable, especially when we cannot name material victories in the fight for Palestine in American universities, primarily universities actually divesting from weapons manufacturers, not just symbolic victories of passing divesment resolutions.

This is not pessimism or as many like to accuse of deviating from "revolutionary optimism" but a critical aspect of being an organizer -- which is constantly engaging in self-reflection and being able to address such mistakes to grow as a movement and meaningfully challenge the state.

...Part 2 will come soon.

Anonymous submission 15 April 2025:

On Tuesday night we punctured the tires on 8 NYPD cars and sprayed "PIG" all over them at the 88th precinct right under their stupid noses. When the pigs are too complacent then collectively we are doing something wrong.

The 88th precinct is known for its tyrannical rule over both local community and new migrant neighbors. It famously collaborated with ICE during the 2020 George Floyd uprising by using ICE to guard their precinct building besieged by massive protests.

Five years later and where are we now? Every day another human being murdered in custody, through neglect or savage beatings. Robert Brooks and Messiah Nantwi. Five people have died at Rikers just this year. Two died in nyc holding cells just in the past month before even being arraigned.

Every day another neighbor disappeared in to some far off prison, never to be seen again (look up CECOT). Every day another student kidnapped by ICE. Every day another community invaded by fascists demanding papers and hunting Black and Brown people for sport.

Every day another family incinerated by USA-made bombs in Palestine and Yemen. When will it stop? We must come to a point where we realize that NOTHING WILL STOP unless we MAKE IT STOP. No amount of appealing to politicians, to cops, to institutions like Columbia, will help us. Let go of that, and we free ourselves.

The Empire must fall. Strike where you are, at whatever institution you can that upholds this whole stinking pile of dogshit. Every strike against the NYPD is a strike for communities here and all over the world. May the strength of revolutionaries who have lived and died for liberation be with you.

The encampment launched yesterday at Howard University has dispersed, for now. Follow The People's University Telegram for further updates, and read their press release here.

"Everyone made it home without any brutalization, or arrests.

We held the space for 9 hours, remaining steadfast the entire time against police repression and threats from administration on our academic status; all of this was done by a group of students and community members united in resistance....

Howard does not care about anti-semitism, they do not care about protecting free speech, they care about maintaining the status quo of a colonial, and ultimately anti-Black institution. Sending hoards of police after students is anti-Black, and we will continue to name it as such.

In the words of our ancestor Fred Hampton, “You can kill a revolutionary, but you can never kill the revolution.” The People’s University will be back. We were serious when we said no repression will deter us, no attacks will scare us. We will remain steadfast in building a movement."

Be strategic, brave, and smart in equal measures. Protect one another, because no part of this system nor what is to come is designed to protect us.

Activists and organizers should document everything, travel with secondary phones, leave laptops at home, and memorize the number to legal counsel and trusted individuals. When crossing a border, attending a protest, or going through customs, power down your devices, use encrypted messaging software, and use strong numeric passwords instead of biometric ones.

Create emergency contingency plans within your organizations and networks, remember you have the right to remain silent at all times, and build networks of legal and communal defense protocols that anticipate the level of repression that is our reality.

What happened to me could happen to anyone, and it is a chilling reminder that these agencies are not designed to merely police borders—they police dissent.

Last night, some people in NYC took direct action against Magellan Aerospace, a company which makes parts for Lockheed Martin F-35 jets and other death machines used by the American and Zionist regimes. Someone went inside the fence at the back of the building and slashed the tires of trucks at the loading area. Actionists also redecorated the building with paint. Free Palestine.
