• One observer, Dani Horbiack, saw the helicopter "fall out of the sky" from her apartment window, hearing loud noises like gunshots as pieces broke off before it plunged into the river.
• Another witness, Eric Campoverde, reported seeing the helicopter descend at a 45-degree angle, causing a significant splash upon impact.
