High ritual and true reciprocity!
Understanding the relationship between our Gods and ourselves, and believing in that connection, has yielded powerful and deep, real world visceral interactions! It's the power we have always had and been told we don't.
The compass I've used in all things Raven Folk has been to always lean on the side of tradition. In this, we have in a very real way, taken our religion back from the realm of the past and through our lore and blood memory given a new hope for the future.
I say it all the time, "our rituals are different." Come see for yourself! OUR GODS ARE REAL!! So I call out to my folk! Hear the call kinsman and pick up the Raven banner! Join us in honoring the cosmic Gods of our blood!
All credit for our success goes to the High One! As we hold your name and banner high!
Hail Raven Folk United!
HAIL OUR MIGHTY GODS!!!!!!!

As Mother's Day approaches, we turn our hearts to the Divine Mother in her many forms. For those of us who walk the folkish path, we serve as keepers of the Old Ways, this is a sacred time to honor the embodiment of motherhood and the nurturing feminine as woven into our ancestral bloodlines. Foremost among these goddesses is Frigga, Allmother of the Aesir, the queenly embodiment of wisdom, protection, foresight, and sacred household magic.
Frigga is not just the wife of Odin, she is the weaver of wyrd, the knower of fates, and the silent power behind the throne. Her strength is not loud or boastful, but enduring and unwavering. She embodies the sacred responsibility of holding space, of nurturing not only children but entire lineages, communities, and the threads of destiny themselves. On Mother's Day, we do well to honor not only our biological mothers, but the archetypal Frigga-force within us and among us, those who build, nourish, sacrifice, and see what is yet unspoken.
As we observe the world around us, it becomes clear that humanity is undergoing a birthing process. We are in the labor pains of awakening. Systems are crumbling, truths are surfacing, and ancestral memory is reactivating. Just as birth is messy, sacred, painful, and miraculous, so too is this moment. Frigga, as mother and midwife of fate, reminds us that the contractions are not the end, they are the beginning of something new.
And at the very core of this awakening is the reclamation of our Vril, our life force, our magnetic essence, the vital current that runs through blood and bone. Vril is not just energy, it is ancestral fire, the inner flame of creation, intuition, and manifestation. As the divine feminine returns to power, we are remembering how to activate and direct our Vril, how to heal with it, create with it, and walk in it fully embodied.
We know that blood remembers. Our ancestors endured collapse and rebuilding before. We carry the resilience of the North, of those who stood tall through winters of the soul. This sacred birthing is not just external, it is within each of us. We are being called to midwife our own higher selves into being, to reclaim ancestral wisdom, and to anchor the divine feminine and Vril power in a world long deprived of their steady hand.
This Mother's Day, honor Frigga. Light a candle in her name. Thank your foremothers. Offer a blessing to the mothers and mother-spirits Disir around you, those who give life, love, and legacy. And remember: as Venus dances through the heavens, as our Vril awakens, and as humanity births itself anew, you are both child and mother of the coming world.
Stand strong. Breathe deep. The Allmother sees you. The Vril within you rises.
Hail the God's and Goddesses !!
Hail Raven Folk Untied!!

DAY OF REMEMBRANCE FOR JARL HAAKON
Contrary to modern Hollywood distortions, Jarl Haakon was a proud Norwegian, almost certainly one of those blue eyed devils everybody loves to hate nowadays... and, of course he was a man. So much for learning history from a television show, eh?
Haakon spent the better part of his life at war in one way or another. He was chieftain or Jarl, for much of Norway from 975-995. Haakon claimed descent from mighty Odin Himself and was said(by Adam of Bremen) to be descended from Jotuns. Whatever the case, Haakon was a warrior in the truest sense of the word.
A warrior dedicated to the ancestral folkways of his people. Later in life he found himself allied with the xtian emperor, Otto II against others. When the "war" was over Otto pressured his ally to take a gaggle of skirt wearing priests back to Haakon's realm to bring xtianity to the pagans...... Haakon did what any good heathen would have done. Load them up on a boat, sail out into the bay where you are safe from attack and then put those monotheistic preachers of doom over the edge.( I wonder how easy it is to swim in priest's robes?)
Upon his return home Hakon did all he could to see the heathenry of his ancestors strengthened. Throughout his reign he kept the old ways alive and well and gave at least one more generation of our folk the comfort to live their folkways and honour their native Gods as their forefathers had done. Haakon is truly a man deserving of our respect. Raise a horn today in his honour and thumb your nose at the one-god crowd.
Hail Jarl Haakon!

Greetings Raven Folk,
This weekend I will be sharing the Old Norse Bidja (prayer, bid) that we will be using for the Full Moon blot we will be doing together Sunday night this weekend. Attached will be an audio for you to practice the pronunciation.
"Hjalpaðu Óðinn, (Help me Odin)
ek kalla þik nú. (I call on you now)
Galdra þú mér gal, (galdr me galdrs)
þau er góðir eru. (that are good.)
Bjarg þú, faðir, barni. (As a father would for his child/children)
Á Hann skal til þess heita!" (For this he shall be called/named!)
"Heill Óðinn!" 3x
Note on pronunciation.
The d's that have a line through the stem have a 'th' sound as in the word 'the.' When the consonants 'rn' or 'rl' are together they are pronounced with a 't' inserted in the middle; i.e. rtn and rtl. Thus, barni is pronounced bart-ni. A similar thing happens with 'll' where a 't' sound follows the 'l'. This happens if the two L's end the word. For instance, kalla above sounds just like it looks but heill is pronounced like heilt, having a t ending sound. This may sound confusing at first. Just listen to the recording and look at the Old Norse words above. Getting the pronunciation correct is more important than understanding why the sounds are the way they are.
In the audio attachment I have recorded the Bidja one line at a time. The lines are spaced out to where you have enough time to speak it before the next line starts. This ought to help everyone practice and be prepared. Also this Bidja can be used for any male deity, hero or ancestor. All you change is the name at the beginning and the end. I hope this helps. Until next time...
