⭕️ American punk rock band Green Day shows solidarity with Palestine at Coachella
While headlining Coachella on Saturday, the band drew attention to the plight of Palestinian children through their 2004 song Jesus of Suburbia.
“Runnin’ away from pain, like the kids from Palestine / Tales from another broken home,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong sang, modifying the original lyrics, which were “Runnin’ away from pain when you’ve been victimized.”
Last month, Armstrong also changed another line in the same song, singing “Am I retarded, or am I just J.D. Vance?”—a shift from the original “am I just overjoyed?” referencing the US vice president.

⭕️ Jordan's General Intelligence Directorate (GID) announced today that it had detained 16 individuals and foiled a plot involving rockets, explosives, and a drone production facility.
Authorities stated that at least one rocket was fully assembled and ready for launch. The case had been under active surveillance by Jordanian intelligence since 2021. A drone factory was also discovered.
Additional activities include the recruitment and training of individuals inside Jordan—some of whom were later sent abroad for advanced instruction.
"The plot aimed at harming national security, sowing chaos and causing material destruction inside the kingdom," the statement read.

Just days before her wedding, 25-year-old photojournalist Fatima Hassouna was murdered by Israel on Wednesday when an airstrike struck her home in northern Gaza, massacring ten members of her family including her pregnant sister.
“If I die, I want a loud death,” Hassouna posted on social media. “I don’t want to be just breaking news, or a number in a group, I want a death that the world will hear, an impact that will remain through time, and a timeless image that cannot be buried by time or place.”
Israel claimed that the strike targeted a Hamas member.
One day before she was killed, it was announced that a documentary about Hassouna’s life in Gaza during Israel's assault on the Strip would premiere at a French independent film festival held alongside Cannes.
