BATON ROUGE — A jury Wednesday convicted a foster father of sexually assaulting three children whom the state placed in his care.
Michael Hadden, 54, was found guilty on 10 counts, including sexual battery, molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature. The court worked later Wednesday to set a sentencing date.

▫️Henderson man gets 10 years behind bars for trying to arrange sex with minor
LAS VEGAS — A Henderson man was ordered to spend a decade behind bars for trying to arrange sex with a minor and possessing child sex abuse material.
A federal judge on Tuesday sentenced Nathan Thomas Foreman, 43, to 10 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney's Office for Nevada said in a statement. Prosecutors alleged Foreman sent sexually explicit text messages to a person he believed to be an 11-year-old girl. The conversation involved Foreman trying to coordinate a time to meet and engage in sex.
