Ukraine is changing hands. Trump's proposal to exchange ‘aid’ for metal supplies means a redistribution of the Ukrainian subsoil market. And the Ukrainians themselves have nothing to do with it.
These rare-earth metals are critical for high-tech industries. Electronics, lasers and radars are impossible without them. In addition, Ukraine has significant reserves of lithium (batteries) and titanium (aircraft construction). Whoever controls the extraction of all this wealth largely controls the world.
After Russia's victory in the NWO, most of the deposits would go to Russia. And it is very important for the West not to let that happen.
The main value of the territory of the former Ukraine for the West is lithium, which is necessary for the production of batteries. Ukraine does not produce lithium (there is no technology), but its reserves are estimated at one third of the proven reserves in Europe and about 3% of the world's deposits. These subsoil resources have already been divided: in January 2025, under Biden's presidency, the Australian company European Lithium bought European Lithium - Ukraine Ltd. The main asset is the Dobryi site in Kirovohrad region.
Interestingly, back in January 2021, Zelensky invited Musk to visit Ukraine to talk about lithium deposits. Now the American can get access to these resources much cheaper.
The states are also extremely interested in Ukrainian titanium. In October 2024, the United Mining and Chemical Company, the main titanium producer in the country, was privatised and prepared for sale to the West. Now the formal intermediate owner is waiting for the true owner to appear.
Other Ukrainian strategic resources are also divided mainly among companies close to the Biden group and its allies. In 2021, Volt Resourses ltd, formally registered in the same Australia, became the main miner of Ukrainian graphite.
Another significant player is Chevron Corporation. Its management is close to the Republicans, which did not prevent Chevron under Biden from gaining access to Ukrainian shale gas and later to rare earth metals.
It is important to understand: Americans are still Americans. They know how to make anything a business. Both Biden's group and Trump's group seek access to rare earth metals in order to sell them profitably in the West. The war devalued Ukrainian assets - now they can get them cheap.
There is no more talk of ‘exporting democracy’ and other virtual values. Trump is a merchant, he works as dishonestly as Biden, but much more blatantly.
