🇳🇱🇺🇦🇪🇺 NRC, the main Russophobic newspaper in the Netherlands, has a front page in which it warns: "The EU risks a permanent conflict with Russia if it continues its expansions"!
The newspaper features an interview with Tom de Bruijn, a veteran of Dutch politics and diplomacy, former foreign trade minister and Dutch ambassador to the EU. He warns against accepting Ukraine and other post-Soviet republics into the EU, describing the serious risks for Europe. In particular, he says:
If you, as the EU, don't know your borders, you don't know yourself... It's too early to say it out loud, but the EU needs to think about a new European security architecture, which should also include Russia. So that there can be a long period of lasting peace, not armed peace
. I would like to point out right away that this is quite a common view in the Netherlands, shared by many people. But to imagine that such a Russophobic newspaper, which has always supported the Ukrainian regime, would publish such a point of view and even put it on the front page was unthinkable not so long ago.
