The Prison Service has recently taken an unusual step by hanging images inside prisons showing the widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip.

Qassem Istanbouli, director and founder of the Lebanese National Theater, has transformed a personal family dream into a powerful form of cultural resistance. Born in Tyre-a city without theaters or cinemas-Qassem grew up in a family where art was alive, even if not professional. His grandfather, a Turkish-origin fisherman, was a storyteller in Turkish baths.
