Thousands of Palestinians from Gaza have been abducted by the occupation and held in prison camps and detention centers. They have been subjected to the worst forms of abuse, torture, starvation and mistreatment, particularly in prison camps like Sde Teiman and Anatot; over 40 of the martyrs of the prisoners' movement since the beginning of the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood are from Gaza, amid the ongoing US-Zionist genocide.
Over 1700 Palestinians from Gaza are held as "unlawful combatants," with arbitrary detention continuing without legal visits and often isolated from their fellow prisoners, including Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya.
