US authorities are confident that it was leaked from a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan. The White House has cited five arguments in support of this theory:
📍The virus has “biological characteristics that do not exist in nature”;
📍All those infected were infected from a single contact, which differs from previous pandemics, when several exposures of the virus to the body were required;
📍Wuhan is home to "China's leading SARS research lab, which has long conducted gain-of-function research in a low-safety environment";
📍Scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill with coronavirus-like symptoms in the fall of 2019, several months before the virus appeared on the market;
📍If there was evidence of natural origin, it would have appeared by now. But it hasn't.
