Scent observation:

Star Child ✨ is Dia's little sister 😍

Star Child is a little bit lighter and whimsical, with a lovely warmth whereas Dia is musky, earthy and has a certain oopmh to it.

I love them both 🥰
Restocking rings. This batch is simple swirls with gemstones 💎
Some of my inspiration for art itself comes from the artists of olde.

Picasso was written as being, sort of a jerk, and I love his mentality.

I think the reason why he is written that way is because the majority of people in the world have certain social expectations, which certain people really are either clueless to or don't care, or are hardwired quite a bit different. You could say they diverge from what is considered normal or neurologically typical.

However, the majority of people, they do follow certain rules, and there are some people that just don't, they are hardwired different.

There isn't really a right or wrong in this context of how people are hardwired, but there is a socially acceptable way, and there is a socially unacceptable way.

I myself, am quite socially unacceptable. And that's fine with me. I'd rather be unequivocally myself and be unacceptable to people in general than be inauthentic to who I am.
The Beginning of making solid perfumes.

Today, I started some batches of different resins, including Oman Hojari frankincense and Myrrh from the Island of Socotra. Of course some more common things like Juniper, plantain, Bittercress from the Appalachian mountains, and Roses from my own yard, that will be beneficial not only for perfumery but for balms and creams. Very exciting!
This is what a concentrated blend looks like before it's diluted into a skin safe formula.

Essential oils, resins, absolutes, are all highly concentrated substances and must be used with caution topically.

Many people think that because essential oils are natural, they are safe. These are highly concentrated CHEMICAL constituents. They are still chemicals even if they are 100 percent pure and natural. They are highly medicinal compounds and should be used with respect and caution by an educated practitioner.

This time of year makes me want to read all the cute anthropomorphic animal stories. 🥰 My current fav are the Mother West Wind stories by Thornton Burgess (which even though he lifted the character name Peter Rabbit, it reminds me more of Kipling's Just So Stories than Beatrix Potter). Some other family favorite series are Brambly Hedge and Frog and Toad. Oh, and while not anthropomorphic, I can't mention sweet animal books without also throwing in James Herriot's Treasury for Children.
Star Child

As the weather gets more lovely and we see the starry skies, I was inspired to make this blend. Astrology has always been one of my special interests and not the modern "sun sign" sort of superficial astrology. I understand astrology as a complex system, a learning tool, and love to understand and study the ancient system. It's time to reclaim astrology not as a modern, woke, or another new age tool. Astrology as a system can be beneficial, and just like the rainbow, we should reclaim our ancient systems. Star Child is designed to reclaim the ancient system of astrology, with an attitude that keeps in mind astrology is a system and not simply "HEY WHATS YOUR SIGN?!' Just as personality types can be nuanced and complex, astrology is another helpful system that can be utilized as a self growth and improvement tool.

Note: I am not a professional astrologer, I am self taught, with guidance and mentoring by my biological family.

The Ingredients: Lavender | Ylang-Ylang | Sandalwood

Keywords: Uplifting | Warm | Celestial

Lavender is soothing and relaxing to the mind. Often referred to in aromatherapy as "the mother oil". Rene Gattefasso, the Father of aromatherapy used Lavender oil in his families perfume business. Lavender was used by the ancient Romans for bathing. Lavender can bring clarity and insight.

Sandalwood is one of my favorite scents, and is beloved by many people as they flock to their favorite places in search of comforting and healing scents. Warm and musky, sandalwood adapts to the pheromones of a person's skin. I haven't met a person yet that hated sandalwood! Sandalwood is a very spiritual oil, and has been used by people for thousands of years in ritual and mediation. Sandalwood encourages a person to trust their intuition and brings deep calm.

Ylang-Ylang is often used in place of Jasmine, though I don't think it smells the same at all. Ylang-Ylang is very oriental and almost too sweet for most people, however when blended correctly it is very palatable and worth using. Ylang-Ylang helps in matters of the heart, and brings harmony. It creates equilibrium between being and doing. Ylang-Ylang helps release negative emotions and fosters the growth of the positive emotions and specifically of love. Ylang-Ylang brings healthy alignment.

@HaematosAgathoio I'm so thankful to open your package!! Arnica oil is so useful and I'm so happy to have this in my medicine cabinet!!

In the beginning of my horse trimming career I didn't know when to stop when it came to dealing with rowdy horses. Arnica oil never let me down when I'd get stepped on/trampled.

I'm super excited to try the shimmer balm.. I'll feel pampered for sure! It smells wonderful.

Thank You so much 🤗 😘 Very Appreciated my Friend.
Old books.....
They are degraded and release aromatic molecules such as benzaldehyde, which has an almond-like aroma and smells like vanilla, ethylbenzene and toluene, which give it a sweet touch, or 2-ethyl hexanol, which has a slightly floral aroma.
There is a molecule that increases its concentration in books the older they are. It is furfural, which also smells like almonds, and is more abundant in pages made of cotton or linen than in cellulose.
It is used to date the age of books.
The pages of old books turn yellow over time. It has to do with lignin, a typical molecule of wood, which breaks down into acids that degrade cellulose. The pages of current books contain less of this chemical compound precisely to prevent the deterioration of the volumes.
Each book not only offers a story, but also a unique and singular perfume.

As a personal note -

Personally, I have used them in combination with essential oils for years - and feel confident and comfortable using them. They are very strong and beneficial.

I am very meticulous about EVERYTHING, picky about organic food, etc - to the point where it drives other people around me a little nuts. GMO potato's not allowed! My guy bought a bag of GMO potato's before he understood about GMO's and he didn't hear the end of it.. :]

When it comes to this, we all pick our battles. We all have things we compromise on. Due to my extensive knowledge and time spent studying and working in this field, I do not think or feel that fragrance oils, when properly used, sourced and tested are any more of an issue than using essential oils. Many essential oil companies have been put into question back when all the legislation changed for fragrances - maybe 12 years ago. Even some of the top brands have been tested and their quality is not great to say the least. Did you know that all a company has to do is use 1 natural component in an item for it to be called natural?

Do you walk outside every day in a chemically treated environment that is being sprayed on? How is that okay, and growing food that is sprayed on, and then eating it is okay, but using something that has been tested to be free of harmful chemicals not okay? Or worse - buying foods that are sprayed with pesticides etc.

Believe me, I get that there have been mass lies - so called elite companies literally mass poisoning people.

This is EXACTLY why I started making my own scents and products for health and wellbeing. I love all the popular scents and smells, but refuse to buy store bought perfumes.

So, in a nutshell. Don't hate on the little guys. And if you do find fragrance oils unacceptable - there are always options if you ask your blend to be made with 100% essential oils, or make your own. My experience with this, is that 99% of people will not pay for a blend like that - or want to wait - and they will more than likely find another company who is simply dishonest with them, who does use fragrance oils but doesn't disclose - and you can't really be sure of the quality etc since they aren't being upfront anyways. I prefer to know exactly where my oils come from - and I am a hardass about this.

This shimmer pot was created as a byproduct of my Cheeky Balm. I love the balm, and wanted an eyeshadow that was a little bit lighter, and softer. This Tiny Shimmer pot is the perfect addition to my makeup collection. It works well as a highlighter for the face or as an eyeshadow.

Magnolia trees and shrubs are among the oldest flowering plants in existence, dating back over 95 million years.

These beautiful plants have also adapted uniquely to their environment.

One of the most interesting facts about Magnolias is that they evolved before bees appeared on Earth.

Instead of relying on bees for pollination, these ancient plants developed a unique partnership with beetles.

Their tough flowers are specifically designed to endure the rough-and-tumble life of beetle pollinators.

Beetles are attracted to the fragrant blooms and, as they feast on the pollen, they inadvertently carry it from flower to flower, ensuring the plant’s reproduction.🌸

Vesna Perfume

I can feel it in the air where I live, spring is coming. And, as much as I love winter and autumn, I also love the renewal of spring. This perfume is so named after an ancient Slavic Goddess of Spring - Vesna, and the female given name Vesna.
Vesna is the poetic word for 'spring' in several Slavic languages including Slovene, Croatian, Czech and Slovak. It is also a female name commonly used in Croatia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia. Seeing as I have predominately Southern Slavic in my ancestry, it seemed very fitting.

The Ingredients: Violet | Lilac | Lily | Orange | Verbena | Honeysuckle

Keywords: Spring | Uplifting | Floral | Feminine | Light | Rebirth | Peace

Vesna signifies the rebirth of spring after winter - She is considered in some traditions to be Morana's younger sister.
On the day of the Spring Equinox, a nationwide festivity was organized in Her honor, pancakes were always baked, as a symbol of Yarilo the Sun; Easter cakes, bagels and bagels with poppy seeds, as a symbol of the earth waking up after winter sleep; gingerbread in the form of larks and cookies with holy symbols.

In Slovene mythology, vesnas were spoken of as a group of beautiful women who lived in palaces atop mountains. Vesna signifies rebirth, abundant life, and fertility, often depicted with flowers adorning her body.

P.s.
It is interesting to note that the handmaidens of wisdom also are spoken of as living in places atop mountains.

On the highly misunderstood / misinformation filled subject of fragrances oils, essential oils, and the like:

Having had multiple people ask me about the safety of my perfumes, I decided to write some about this. Though I do not go around throwing my credentials, I am an educated aromatherapist, and " herbalist " with having proper credentials, but I don't like to advertise that, there is nothing for me to prove and I am always learning. Having worked in the EO/Alternative healing field for a decade now, I sometimes forget that not everyone has the same understanding or education I do. The company I am affiliated with is one of the pioneers of the EO industry, (NO not Doterra or Young living) with the owner starting over thirty years ago. This same person is the person who mentored me and funded my herbal education while mentoring me and giving me work in the field. We don't support MLM companies, And we go by the European standard of essential oils - as in not ingesting and using caution while using these highly medicinal substances.

About my perfumes:

Our fragrance oils are carefully selected to be premium grade and phthalate free. They have been tested just like our essential oils.

While fragrance oils contain natural components like essential oils, or isolated constituents, they are considered synthetic. So think about it like this, many fragrance oils are simply isolated constituents from a plant.

We adhere to the strictest RIFM and IFRA standards regarding fragrance safety, and all of our fragrances are non-toxic when used for their intended purposes. (Basically, common sense safety don't drink essential oils or fragrance oils).

The essential oils used in our perfumes are sourced all over the world directly from the farm.

Our Perfume oils are made in "perfume grade dilution" meaning that they are skin safe but they are STRONG, as a perfume should be.

Some notes about Fragrance oils and Essential oils:

Both are highly volatile compounds

Both are toxic if ingested

Both should be diluted with a carrier oil before use. They can cause burns or irritation if not used properly.

Citrus oils should never be worn in the sun as this can cause photosensitization - which results in burns.

Fragrance oils replace diminishing raw materials.

Fragrance oils come in Lilac and Lily, which cannot be extracted from the flowers - except for enfleurage - and even then, the smell will be quite mild and not "eau de parfum or perfume oil".

Fragrance oils allow perfumeries to produce bakery scents and other scents not found in plant matter.

My fragrances are in the natural category meaning that though some do have "fragrance oils" they are still natural due to the quality testing and being non-toxic, Clean Scents.

All this said, my scents are made with predominantly with essential oils or some sort of combination, and they are safe.

Also since oils are partly made with water, and water is influenced by the environment it is in, the intent of the perfumer will be noted. This is not "woo woo" or new age - this is science and can be recorded.

If you want a perfume with only essential oils, resins, and absolutes, you can make a request and I will send you a list of my options.

Recreating an older oil blend that has this theme:

"aza foesto" - speak not, only feel the power of the earth

While my resins, plants, flowers and barks infuse, I prepare for the mixing of the solid perfumes, and learn what the Ancients had to say. One of the blends I will be mixing is called Kyphi.

“And Aristotle says the sweet smelling breezes from perfumes and blossoms and meadows are just as important for health as for pleasure, since with their warmth and lightness they gently relax the brain which is naturally cold and frigid. If myrrh is in fact called bal by the Egyptians, and if this is best translated as ‘breaking up of congestion’, then this is evidence in support of his explanation.”
27.01.202505:44
To add, I am very picky about where I source my essential oils from. The essential oils used in my blends are sourced directly from the farm. Rose is from Bulgaria, etc.
