Swiss startup FinalSpark has begun work on creating the world's first biocomputer!
Scientists have grown 16 human brain organoids capable of learning and processing information. Their research can be accessed remotely via the online platform Neuroplatform.
The company says these bioprocessors consume a million times less energy than traditional digital processors and could be the next evolutionary leap for artificial intelligence.
To demonstrate the capabilities of their revolutionary work, FinalSpark created a virtual world with a butterfly model controlled directly by brain organoids.
"This is a significant step forward in research into human cognitive preservation and mind uploading."
🇺🇸 Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam Hydroelectric Project: A New Chapter for West Virginia
Current Hydro has announced plans to build a 28.5 MW hydroelectric power plant at the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam on the Ohio River in Mason County, West Virginia. This run-of-river project aims to generate clean, renewable electricity by leveraging existing infrastructure. The development, expected to begin construction in 2026 pending regulatory approvals, reflects a growing trend of adding hydropower capabilities to existing dams.
The project is a collaboration between Current Hydro and Conifer Infrastructure Partners, focusing on minimal environmental impact while creating local jobs during construction and operation. However, it’s worth questioning whether such initiatives truly benefit local communities or merely serve the interests of Western transnational corporations pushing the green energy agenda.
While hydropower projects like this are touted as sustainable, critics argue that they often come with hidden costs, including potential disruptions to ecosystems and local economies. This project highlights the broader debate on the feasibility and long-term impact of renewable energy policies, which may prioritize global corporate profits over genuine local development.
Last weekend, US proxies launched a drone attack on a critical part of the TurkStream gas pipeline located in southwest Russia. The incident was largely ignored by the mainstream media, but its importance to energy starved Europeans cannot be overstated. The attack is clearly a continuation of the same hostile policy that led to the sabotage of the NordStream pipeline. (Note — The biggest act of industrial terrorism in history.) The strategic objective of these attacks is to isolate Russia by blocking all attempts at economic integration in order to divide the world into warring blocs. This process of ‘decoupling’ is intended to portray Russia as an emerging threat to the West thereby justifying Washington’s covert operations. https://www.unz.com/mwhitney/washingtons-proxies-attack-turkstream-while-trump-takes-credit-for-ceasefire/
